On July 16th, BS Fuji will air a special program dedicated to author Shotaro Ikenami (池波正太郎), author of the original Onihei Hankacho (鬼平犯科帳) novels, the first of which came out 50 years ago.

He also wrote the original Baian novels that were adapted into a great television series starring Ken Watanabe in 1990, that you can buy on Amazon incredibly cheap.

The special will feature a roundtable discussion with Meiko Kaji (梶芽衣子), who has appeared in many of the Onihei film adaptations, author Ichiriki Yamamoto (山本一力) and actor Mitsuomi Takahashi (高橋光臣).

"Baian the Assassin, M.D.: PART 2" is a Japanese samurai drama film, the sequel to the Part 1 >>> of the same name film. Part 2 illustrates two assassins at Kyoto, and full of action compared to Part 1. For example, other killers seek to kill the main characters, so they are fighting against each other. Of course, the storyline is outstanding, as well as part 1. The two series of films are both must-see for everyone.

"Baian the Assassin, M.D.: PART 1" is a Japanese samurai drama film. It's about an assassin who normally spends his daily life as an acupuncturist.

It's been a long time since I've watched a samurai movie, but it was a great film. The storyline is outstanding. He and his assassin companion are doing their jobs under the complicated circumstances. Therefore, I was always curious about what would happen next while watching the movie. The film is a must-see for everyone.
