Have you been following along with Erotic Grope Fest? We’re officially halfway through!! Be sure to check out the AO3 collection each day for new arrivals!

That said, I’m going to give you a couple more excerpts of the already posted Good for Him instead of new stuff. Progress is slow on new SAE chapters right now because I’ve been so sleepy—can’t tell yet if it was the weird week with bad sleep or my new anxiety meds. I do have Monday off tho 👀.

He says my wings are warmer than the rest of me. He thinks dragons must be warm blooded. (Not that I'm much of a dragon.) I suppose everything feels extra warm to a vampire.

I like to use my heat to warm him up. I like doing that for him.

I like doing this, too.

Looking at him. Watching him.

I never used to be able to take my eyes off of Baz, even when I thought I had to.

I don't have to. I never have to look away if I don't want to. (I don't want to.)

I can't ever seem to get my fill of him. Any of him. I want to breathe him in. Drink him. Devour him.

When I close my eyes, he's the after-image burned in the centre of my vision. When I open my eyes, his face is there, watching me right back.

There's a question mark like a fish hook pulling on one side of his mouth.

"What?" He asks.

And some more because why not?

"Touch me?" I ask.

With a strangled growl, he pushes his head forward to crush his mouth into mine. My lips press and drag against my teeth under him. I can feel his teeth as well, too big for his mouth.

(His fangs are down. We're not being careful.)

He's not hesitant with me. He knows what I need, fingers firm and sure as he takes me in hand.

Baz has long, thin fingers. Musician's fingers. Elegant and pretty and a bit blue, just like the rest of him.

They're rough to the touch.

He's covered in callouses. I never knew, never got to feel them.

(The only way we could touch each other was with our fists.)

why yall should get into destiny, an incomplete list by me, with no spoilers:

-v fun game with some of the best feeling shooting ever. incredibly satisfying

-sounds are GOOD AS FUCK and the music is all a fuckin jam

-pretty environments! every location has a super rad aesthetic

-sexy four armed aliens. i guess u could bang the evil alien robots but i dont recommend it youll probably turn into one and die

-canon gays?? like lots of them? of all the couples in the lore where both partners are named, they’re all lesbian and gay couples. i cannot name a m/f pairing with both partners named

-lots and lots of npcs who arent white! significant npcs! like most of them actually! theres no fantasy racism or w/e either. not even the robot people are treated as not-people, they’re as human as anyone else. one of the major npcs in the lore and in game speaks hebrew, too!

-pretty girl,,,, many pretty girl. lov girl. u like bookish smart sarcastic witty girl? yes. buff butch girl with determination to protect her people? yes. sad, angry, edgy-theme intense girl with tragic past? yes. spunky butch mechanic girl with tattoos? yes.

-nathan fillion is a suave rogueish bi (fight me on this) robot badass with lots of funny one liners and an angsty past and has lots of feelings he doesnt like to talk about it

-u can be a gay space robot wizard if u want. or a magic blue space gunslinger and set a knife on fire. or a badass in big armor and flaming hammers

-ok the game itself has a lot of issues with like. actually telling story. it’s not great. but the lore itself?? incredible and all online for free and archived by fans and people love talking about the lore

-nothing is more fun than just fucking launching yourself off a cliff on ur sparrow and exploding into a wall. or when u hulk smash a talk with lightning fists and explode. or when ur titan friend puts down a bubble of protection and you blow yersel up tae fuck with a rocket launcher inside of it like a dumbass idiot. lots of exploding actually

-collect all the cool stuff. if u like cool armor and gear?? collect. loot grind is more fun in d1 tho imo but that’s subject to change with d2′s new dlc

-memes. u can dab in d1. take selfies in d2.

-lots of jump! u like to jump?? double jump?? TRIPLE? HOW ABOUT A QUAD JUMP. THATS RIGHT BITCH FOUR JUMPS IN A ROW. THE FLOOR IS LAVA AND YOU GOT DRAGON BONES ON YA PANTS. HELL YEAH

-play kickball

-bitch slap some evil robots and eat grenades

-dance parties on the moon. and on venus. and on mercury. and like seven other moons. and the alien spaceship constructed from an alternate hell dimension turned inside out and forced into our reality.

-make cool ocs and cry over them as u subject them to terrible pasts and events

-please get into destiny the fandom for it is like nothing at all and theres fuckall for fanfic and im mad about it

anything, really, she’s so bad at pretending to not be a complete & utter sap. yea, anything that can be construed as an emotional effort for she’s gone

fey loves domestic gestures of affection — cooking together, cleaning up after a meal, going to the market

surprise surprise marian doesn’t really do great with small, she’s p much only exclusively big gestures. & if they are small, she’s overdramatic about them until they get blown up into Much Bigger Than Really Necessary. probably the smallest thing she does is constantly getting/being on the hunt for gifts to give — at least while they’re still in kirkwall, marian has more money than she knows what to do with esp after leandra is gone, so she just splurges it all on her friends

little touches, like always patting a shoulder when she’s walking by, drawing her fingers over theirs when they’re passing something to her. even just stuff like having a hand on their arm when they’re walking; not really holding, just, y’know, being present and such

maker does she. marian is just the Biggest Disaster Lesbian for danger - to quoth from dialogue, ‘have you ever known me to be turned off by crazy?’ marian was head over heels before she had enough time to blink when she first met isabela, and the whole ‘just 9 knives in a trenchcoat’ thing sure as hell never made her think twice. tallis hit the same bullseye, and if she hadn’t have been distracted by isabela actually expressing an emotion about their relationship i have no doubt she’d be cow-eyed over her too

can asra be a type bc if he can be then that’s it. like, i assume before she lost her memories she was always drawn to the quieter, bookish ones, but just because they fall in line with her own personality, but yea as soon as she saw asra after The Event she was just kind of like “oh yeah, you. you’re it”

(24) How does your OC determine that they’re attracted to someone?

is she getting the same feeling she got staring up at a dragon (scared shitless, in awe, incredibly turned on). yes. okay all systems go we do not halfass this boys we’re in the big leagues now

again, she doesn’t remember ever not being attracted to asra and only him, but for her it just feels like… everpresent warmth and comfort, like she’s curled up in front of a fire in the dead of a cool night in the softest blankets with a nice mug of tea

(26) Is your OC ever the first to say “I love you”?

marian

with isabela, yes, though that’s more of a game of ‘i thought we were just playing chicken but now i see i will never emotionally out-fowl you’. with everyone else tho she tends to avoid the word, getting kind of flustered about the sentiment and preferring just to shower them with examples of her love rather than just actually saying the word outloud

actually, no too, tho not for the same reasons. she doesn’t get flustered, she just has a quiet confidence that they (esp asra) always know. like i said, she’s super touchy and tends to give off a lot of affectionate behavior regardless, so it’s not something she feels an obligation to say

Favorite fruit: i love so many! lychee and coconut probably top the list but there’s also grapefruit, some kinds of apples, pomelo, mangosteen...i’m sure i’m forgetting some

Favorite season: Fall is the best--perfect crisp air and tree leaves changing beautiful colors, basically can wear whatever clothes you want no matter the weight, and a decent amount of light till like november

Favorite book: No. Books are so good. How tf do I choose.

Favorite flower: once again, i love so many--lupine, lotus, sunflowers (the huge ones), and magnolia are my favorites but i also love marigolds, lilacs, irises...

Favorite scent: it seems i don’t have favorites of anything. dark chocolate, grapefruit, lavender, lilac, honeysuckle, old books, new books, candlewax/smoke, mint...

Favorite color: TURQUOISE. i lied about not having favorites. turquoise has been my favorite color since i learned to talk, basically. and i mean one very specific shade of turquoise, the color of water i’ve seen a few times in sea caves and grottos and island coasts, places like that. ultramarine is a really close second, though.

Favorite animal: To watch video of and learn about, wolves, dolphins, leopards (including panthers, snow leopards, etc.), many kinds of snakes, hawks/falcons. But i’d love to own a dog someday. Preferably a big playful one.

Coffee, tea, or hot cocoa: I consume SO MUCH tea, but I do love hot cocoa more when i make it with unsweetened cacao powder and salt and vanilla extract

Average sleep hours: about 7 hours a night, like 2-9 AM or 1-8 AM. I’m trying to be better. i’d like to be the kind of person who can go to sleep between midnight and 1 and get 8 hours of sleep and feel healthy.

Cat or dog person: mmm i like both but I’d rather own a dog, because they strike me as easier to communicate with and more playful on average. plus you can get BIG ones.

Favorite fictional character: so many! when i was a kid, i identified with basically every spirited and/or bookish girl in the fiction i read, bonus points if they were older sisters--Ella and Sarah from All of a Kind Family, Anne from Anne of Green Gables, and Rosalind and Skye from The Penderwicks. These girls hold a really special place in my heart. farther along in my life,, there’s been Donna from Doctor Who, Crowley from Good Omens, Lymond, Philippa, and Kate from The Lymond Chronicles...there are just so many wonderful characters out there. i’m sure i’m forgetting some.

Number of blankets you sleep with: If the room is an appropriate temperature for it, one topsheet, one knit blanket, and one fluffy comforter. however, at home, i share a room with my sister and it’s fucking freezing so each of our beds has about five thick blankets on it, no joke.

Dream trip: i have been on a lot of amazing trips so like. i don’t have just one dream trip and i’ve already done several dream trips. i seriously want to see Indonesia, Australia, lots of places...but i think what would make something a dream trip for me is being able to go with friends. honestly the place would matter less if i could share the experiences with my best friends from high school or college.

alright kk, don't say i didn't warn you lmao: Dearest Karkat, I am the anon whom you blessed with that dragon age tangent and i was bettered for it bc that tangent was great. When I played da:i I knew jack-all about the characters and literally only chose to be an elven female bc she had the most romantic options and I was going in thinking 'hell yeah imma romance the first available qunari of the series, you kidding me?' (1/7)

And then i chatted w solas and the literal first 'flirt' option w him is to tell him you aren't going to harass him for being an apostate and that was so /sad/ to think about, like he's so...lonely? Not to mention his greatest fear is dying alone?? Also he was hella intelligent and had interesting conversations and was suave as fuck, and I ended up being like "iron bull who?" and got my hEART RIPPED FROM MY CHEST, OW because solas has gotta be one of my fave villains in media to date. (2/7)

Also loghain, whom I didn't really appreciate until after I'd beheaded him. Whoops. Actually, I'd love to keep talking to you about dragon age?? i haven't been able to chat w a new(ish) fan in ages and these games have such depth. (also, dorian was absolutely my inquisitor's moirail, too, tbh. Although that's technically a romantic relationship, and Dorian is gay...? They're def BFFLs, tho, once Dorian was less racist against elves. Everyone in dai was kinda racist against elves.) (3/7)

Actually, elf Inquisitors kind of got a really fucking short stick in da:i. Not only did all of thedas hate them for being an elf, but there wasn't a single elf in that party that didn't challenge and beat on their religion (which is worse if they weren't already questioning it, as my inquisitor was), and even the people you can date don't seem to comfort you once your entire understanding of the world comes crashing down around your eyes. (4/7) (shit, i might hit the ask limit)

To a lesser extent this happens to the dwarves, too! Like, idk if you played the Descent dlc, but spoiler-free the dwarven religion is kind of picked apart and in the Tresspasser sequel we find out the ancient elves did a lot of shitty subjugating of the dwarven race, and not to mention the qunari are implied to be a race made through scientific genetic SPLICING of human and/or elven genes with fucking /dragons/, and it's like?? Man, give these fantasy races a break. (5/7)

Humans were the only ones who weren't really fucked with, they just kinda showed up from the north and invaded thedas while all that other political stuff was going on. But playing as a human's always seemed so boring to me, lmao. Did you play DA:O and DA2, too? (6/7) I feel like 200% nerd power right now,but the amount of effort and heart bioware put into these games is fascinating and i can't help but love dissecting it. ALTHOUGH I ONLY PERSONALLY PLAYED THROUGH ONE ROMANCE I OF COURSE HAD TO WATCH ALL OF THE COMPILATIONS ON YOUTUBE BECAUSE THAT’S JUST THE KIND OF GLUTTON I AM. SO YEAH. I AM FAMILIAR WITH SOLAS’ ROMANCE ARC. AND MAN I HAVE TO SAY YOU HAD TO BE MASOCHISTIC AS HELL TO RIDE THAT ONE OUT AND ENDURE THE MOST HEARTBREAKING OUTCOME OF THEM ALL. BLACKWALL WAS BAD ENOUGH, BUT AT LEAST, YOU KNOW, IT GETS BETTER IF YOU CHOOSE IT TO.

THE WAY HE PULLS THE INQUISITOR ASIDE NEAR THE END OF THE MAIN GAME TO TELL THEM THAT THEY EXCEEDED HIS EXPECTATIONS AND THAT HE TRULY VALUES THEM AS A FRIEND... I DON’T THINK I’LL EVER REALLY KNOW IF HE MEANT IT BUT I LIKE TO THINK HE DID. AND THAT IT GENUINELY SURPRISED HIM THAT THE PERSON HE WAS OUT TO MANIPULATE NEARLY CHANGED HIS WORLD VIEW IN THE END. THAT’S HOW YOU WRITE A THREE DIMENSIONAL ANTAGONIST.

FFFF. THE RACE SHENANIGANS. DRAGON AGE AND SKYRIM REALLY LIKE TO PLAY UP THE DISCRIMINATION AND OUTRIGHT PERSECUTION OF ELVES, WHICH STANDS IN SHARP CONTRAST TO THE TOLKIENIAN LORE IT ALL STEMS FROM WHERE ELVES ARE (MOSTLY) POWERFUL AND RESPECTED AMONG HUMANS. I LIKE IT THOUGH. IT’S AN INTERESTING SPIN. THE DWARF HATE TOO. I FUCKING LOVED THE WAY THE ORLEASIAN COURT NOT-SO-COVERTLY THREW SHADE AT YOU IN THE WINTER PALACE FOR BEING A DIRTY LOWBLOOD INFERIOR RACE. IT MADE PUTTING THEM ALL IN THEIR PLACE A WHOLE LOT SWEETER. AGAIN. WISH FULFILLMENT.

I HAVE TO AGREE THOUGH THAT THE GAME SOMETIMES KIND OF DID A SHITTY JOB OF ACKNOWLEDGING THE ELF AND DWARF INQUISITORS’ PERSONAL STRUGGLES WITH THEIR RACE, AND I GUESS THAT COMES DOWN TO THE SHIPLOAD OF DIALOGUE CUSTOMIZATION THE DEVS ALREADY HAD ON THEIR PLATE. I REMEMBER BEING ESPECIALLY PISSED OFF TALKING TO DAGNA WHERE SHE FUCKING SEEMED TO FORGET NELLIE WAS *ALSO* A DWARF HALF THE FUCKING TIME.

AND THEN OTHER TIMES THE GAME WAS RANDOMLY REALLY GOOD IN THAT REGARD. IT WAS HIT AND MISS. ERIDAN DID AN ELF PLAYTHROUGH THAT I SAT IN ON AND I REMEMBER HOW COOL IT WAS BEING ABLE TO INTERACT WITH THE DALISH CLAN IN THAT INSIDER KIND OF WAY. BUT IT’S TRUE THAT PRETTY MUCH NONE OF THE ROMANTIC INTERESTS GIVE YOUR RACE MORE THAN *ONE* PASSING MENTION. CULLEN’S ROMANCE WITH A MAGE PLAYS WAY MORE HEAVILY INTO THINGS THAN SAY THE FACT THAT MALE LAVELLAN CAN DATE A GODDAMN *TEVINTER* ALTUS AND THE SLAVE THING IS BROUGHT UP A GRAND TOTAL OF ONCE.

AND AS A SIDENOTE THE FACT THAT IF YOU CHOOSE THE NECROMANCER MAGE SPECIALIZATION, DORIAN-THE-GOD-DAMN-NECROMANCER HAS FUCK ALL TO SAY ABOUT IT. EVEN IF YOU ROMANCE HIM. WHICH AMPORA DID. AND HE WAS PISSED.

SPEAKING OF AMPORA, HE ACTUALLY DID ROLL A HUMAN AT FIRST, BUT FIVE MINUTES IN HE WAS SO BORED WITH HIS CHARACTER HE ALMOST GAVE UP THE GAME FOR GOOD. SO YEAH. I FEEL YOU THERE.

BUT YEAH. THE SUGAR COATING ON THE CONFECTIONERY ITEM IS DEFINITELY THE FACT THAT THE GAME HINGES ON BASICALLY SOLAS DESTROYING DALISH LEGITIMACY. AND AS A DALISH INQUISITOR IT’S LIKE. OH. OK. SURE. MY LIFE WAS A LIE. NO BIG DEAL. NOW WHO’S READY FOR A VACATION IN TEVINTER BECAUSE BOY HOWDY ME AND MY QUNARI FRIEND ARE DOWN FOR SOME FIRST CLASS NORTHERN HOSPITALITY.

AS MUCH AS I CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT A LOT OF IT I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I NEVER PLAYED THE PREVIOUS GAMES BUT I ABSORBED THE DRAGON AGE WIKI AND I THINK I HAVE A PRETTY GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT WENT DOWN. I HAVE DA:O AND I DO PLAN ON PLAYING IT SOME TIME.

THE SADDEST PART IS THAT IT SEEMS PRETTY CERTAIN THAT THE SERIES IS PERMA-DEAD. AND I ACTUALLY WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO WHERE THEY SEEMED TO BE TAKING IT. IT’S A FUCKING SHAME.
