I'm exploring Aviary while stopping by to grab some season stuff, and I'm still not over how we get to see and interact with all the spirits!! It's so lovely ^^
Anyway, if you hadn't already realised, finding the right spirit and performing their emote (or stance) makes them mimic it back! Sometimes with sparkles!
Pray spirit recharged my light pretty quick when I performed, butterfly catcher applauds and cheers, telekinesis spirit fished out a boot from the pond, I found bow and somersault hanging around and mimicked me to the cheers of watchers XD.
But the funny thing I found is that, when I found some spirits I didn't fully recognise and started emoting at them to guess, making the come/follow gesture makes them get up and hold your hand!!
Look!!! They copy your emotes and everything!!
Thing is.... I couldn't get them to let go 😅. How do you make them let go???! I had to leave in order to be freed!
Maybe I did choose the right emote for the right spirit! I know the one on the left is isle! But now I don't know how to get them to stop lol.
In 6 days I will be leaving my home and my birds for a 3 month seasonal field tech position surveying birds out of state. My mother will be caring for my birds in my stead. To settle my own anxieties about the birds not getting enough enrichment and flight time while I'm gone, I decided to create an aviary style wall to box in the nook in my bedroom as the birds' very own space.
So far it's been working great. I'm currently working on adding perches so their "aviary" isn't so barren and they have things to do when they're having flight time. I opted to keep the cages inside for safety and ease of letting the birds out for out of cage time. I'm also installing a remotely movable pet wifi camera so I can still see my little rascals and the time away will be just a little more bearable. In the meantime I'll be giving them extra love and cuddles.
Obviously posts will be slow from May to July but I will probably post videos and pictures I get from my mom as well as petcam videos of the fids doing stuff.
