Arrival – Drone Light Painting
My photographic practice is inspired by a personal fascination with sci-fi & supernatural movies. I am captivated by the speculative realism within them, which is the believability and likelihood that these events could happen. Humans have always paired aliens & supernatural events with geographical locations and monuments; I have taken liberty in recreating these…

like having your sequel villain be the functional opposite of the first game (both of them) is like. i won't say a no brainer but it works for obvious reasons. but sofia lamb specifically always came off to me as sooooo character-first like someone had something very personal they wanted to get off their chest

playing through that scene in the game actively made me shiver, it was SO good
it's SUCH a good scene!!!! it's one of the few times in the game where it feels like you really get to take in the atmosphere. you kind of get it with the final mementos thing, but at that point the world is so distorted that you really can't tell what was once there. but you know the school. you know what it should look like, which is why there's so much unease at seeing it look different. it's unnatural! it's eerie! i really wish we'd gotten more scenes like it bc the game struggles So much with telling and not showing, which sucks bc this shows they CAN do atmosphere super well!! they're just allergic to it

NICHOLAS X BENT
raised in a northern mining town in ontario, canada, i experienced the contrast of stark rugged landscapes stripped by mine operations and pristine old growth forests, of eerie blue lakes deadened by acid rain fallout from the mine smelter stacks and green lakes filled with the promise of dinner.
this land was heaved up from the earth’s core and settled by sediment – islands of red granite shot…
