HEIDI LUSTIG
Heidi Lustig is a surreal figurative artist from Australia creating under the alias Violet Portrayal. She paints softly strange, lucid dream-like portraits anchored by graphite faces. Her work uses a mix of iconography, the inclusion of animal chaperones, and the subject’s expression to explore concepts such as loss, female rage, fertility and resilience. Her childhood holidays spent on her…

@angelhernandezart Ángel Hernández (b.1994, Venezuela) is a Contemporary Art Creator who explores the possibilities of expressing ideas and narratives inspired by themes as the space, the time and the human condition, especially by the female figure. Working on various layers of concepts and materials, Hernández analyzes the origin and the communicative possibilities of an initial idea, including elements in his art that allow him to obtain the compositional coherence necessary to visualize a portrait, a fashion illustration or a narrative illustration that can reflect dialogues or antagonisms between the figurative-traditional and the abstract-contemporary. Empty gazes, unknown destinations, lonely individuals, stripes and cracks, fragmentation, timelessness and nostalgia are recurrent concepts in most of Ángel Hernández’s creations that he makes evident through techniques such as pencil drawing, watercolor and ink on paper, strokes of crayon, charcoal, pastel, paint stains, collage with paper scraps, threads and scribbles. With the shapes, textures and colors of the selected materials, Hernández explores the ways to encode intentions in every piece, weaving relationships between the theme and its visualization. https://theflyingfruitbowl.co.uk/2023/03/03/angel-hernandez/ Link in bio! 👀 #art #figurativeart #fineart #realism #fineartist #artistssupport #painting #portraitpainting #painter #realismart #artist #artisttofollow #submityourwork #figurative #contemporaryart #theflyingfruitbowl #artpodcast #artistsupport #emergingartist https://www.instagram.com/p/CpU-H5nI92u/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

PINK MILK DRINK
My art is a loud, blundering convergence of pink, text, & naturey-things, & often involves swearing animals for some reason?? Almost everything i make is sweet, beautiful, perfect pink. With rose-coloured glasses i examine the intersections of popular culture, capitalism, mental health, & the nature – the sources of all things wondrous & cruel. I’m not entirely sure but suspect that the…

LOISH
Short story: I’m a digital artist who has been drawing my whole life. I do character design work for clients all over the world, and spend my free time making digital paintings and sketches.
As for the long story, I’ve been drawing pretty much my whole life. Ever since I can remember, my teachers and classmates told me that drawing was my ‘talent,’ which motivated me to keep practicing. I was…

ANDREA EHRENREICH
When I make photos I have a synthesis of persons and the surrounding nature in my mind. Similar, with the feeling of depending on each other I try to make clear, that persons and cities live in a symbiosis.
The beauty of nature makes me feel free, and I want to express, that a lot of energy is provided in such an understanding.
Cities are made by people, cities give sense to people as living…

LAURA JANE SCOTT
Laura Jane Scott’s desire for formal simplicity through geometric form and striking use of colour has enabled her to produce a body of work where painting explores a model of architectural form and where the colour literally embodies a physical structure. The resulting work is a hybrid of painting and sculpture; a refined visual vocabulary of form and colour.

EMMA KALFF
All of the pieces shown here are part of my ongoing series, Holding Your Horses. It is a series of dream-like oil paintings based on my everyday experiences. My work contains elements of daily life and explores the line between realism and surrealism.
My practice involves a collaging of different scenes, either painted from photos or from life. I often start a canvas by painting a scene from…

WILLIAM TURNER
Arrival – Drone Light Painting
My photographic practice is inspired by a personal fascination with sci-fi & supernatural movies. I am captivated by the speculative realism within them, which is the believability and likelihood that these events could happen. Humans have always paired aliens & supernatural events with geographical locations and monuments; I have taken liberty in recreating these…

NASIR YOUNG
I am a person who walks down the street looking at the brick and mortar, the markings on the wall, the trash on the ground wondering about its story. My practice starts with the world around me; guided by the happenstance moments that you would miss if you blink just once. I document the small wonders.these range from shadows dancing around objects, visual clutter that tells a story. These may sit…

NICHOLAS X BENT
raised in a northern mining town in ontario, canada, i experienced the contrast of stark rugged landscapes stripped by mine operations and pristine old growth forests, of eerie blue lakes deadened by acid rain fallout from the mine smelter stacks and green lakes filled with the promise of dinner.
this land was heaved up from the earth’s core and settled by sediment – islands of red granite shot…

DEVIL LENS
My work has always revolved around nature, i began shooting on an iPhone 6s in my teens and relied heavily on editing to create the narrative I desired; which has always been to replicate a dream. I’ve always loved how the sky looks during golden hour and once I started documenting those moments, my little hobby became quite the passion. My photos are passing moments that are gone once the wind…
