ive just spent the last 6hrs goin thru every piece of media from 'the phantom of the opera' and all i can say is
WHY IS IT LIKE THATTT
why's the ending like that??? be it the one from broadway theatre dated back in 1988, or the musical in 1986, the movie from 2004, even in the original novel by Leroux himself, none of them ends with a closure of the phantom's acceptance..
i hvnt watch the 1925 silent film version tho; but so far i think i like the og novel version best
personally i spite the 2004 version so much as in tht one, christine clearly stated tht she's afraid of the phantom (as uttered in the song 'Twisted Every Way') while it's never been told that way in the novel/broadway/other versions
on the og novel tho, despite christine still married raoul in the end, he still returned to bury the phantom during his passing, the last thing phantom had asked before they parted. she fulfilled her promise, and put the ring(?) he gave her to be buried w/ him.. truly the best ending of all version me thinks
overall i loved the parallels of night & daylight imagery. of heaven & hell, beast & beauty. also the part where she said 'he sings inside my mind'? imo it can be interpreted in many ways

I know most people HC Baatar being closest to Huan of all the Beifond siblings, but lately I’ve been thinking a lot about how Baatar and Opal could have realistically had a lot of common ground for a while being the only two non-benders, and then things getting very awkward when Opal gets airbending~ I have a lot of thoughts about Baatar struggling with having an older sibling inferiority complex and that would definitely be one of the nails in his coffin. I’m certain Kuvira was also a contributing factor in the rift in their relationship as Baatar gets closer with her despite how she and Opal Do Not get along and Opal could feel a bit betrayed by that.
Conversely I think there is also a lot to think on regarding Baatar and Huan really struggling to connect, what with Huan being everything Baatar isn’t, and Baatar being everything Huan is afraid of becoming. They’re as polar opposite as they could possibly be.
But those are two separate subjects that are worth elaborating on their own later lol

Man i have so many ideas to draw saiki k characters just...being very soft. Like Saiteru just smiling happily....leaning on each other....Saiki just hanging out with the bros after school...work or college....Teruhashi slowly caring more about herself (not in a arrogant way, just self-care kinda way where she just focuses on the people that are really worth it and not random people who will literally adore her no matter what she does just cuz she's pretty)....saiki family but the childhood period....the angst and hurt potential....the little moments that just makes you realize Kusuo and Kusuke are still so young...just different....
