Anthurium (flamingo flower)
When is a petal not a petal? When it's a spathe. Petals evolved from leaves but the Anthurium's spathes got caught half way through the process. And why not? These modified leaves perform the same colorful function, alerting pollinators from a distance that the 'Flamingo Flower' restaurant is open for lunch. The flowers themselves are tiny and arranged in a spiral on the sticking-out part: the spadix.
Flamingo flowers can't survive a Vancouver winter outdoors so to see such a variety this late in the year, you have to go to a glass house. These photos were taken at the Blodel Conservatory and I reckon the flamingo flowers alone were worth the price of admission.

Anthurium andraenum. She’s considered one of the least important of the anthuriums, but the Flamingo Lily such a beauty. We have new inflos growing in this year, and she’s keeping those huge regal leaves.

Repot the anthuriums plant at one year intervals. After six months the plant is ready for transplanting. At the time of repotting gently remove the plant from pots without damaging the root parts.
Pruning
Prune the dried and old leaves. Remove the dried or mature flowers. Avoid over prune the plant.

I did a little research and these are the results so far. Feel free to correct me or add anything I missed.
in short: these are all more or less typical houseplants, as one probably would find in any common garden center. Nothing extraordinary here.
Let's start with the plants in Crowleys flat:

There are at least three big pots (two at the window, one at the door) with the same plants
1 - some kind of Musa (banana plant)
2 - Strelitzia reginae (bird-of-paradise flower 👀)
3 - this poor, scared to death fellow is a Alocasia zebrina (zebra plant) Anthurium andraeanum (Flamingo flower)
Now on to the plants in the Bentley:

4 - Monstera deliciousa (grows edible fruits!)
5 - Aspidistra elatior (Bar-room plant, I see what you did there)
6 - Ficus elastica (Rubber plant)
7 - Ficus lyrata (Fiddle-leaf fig, not to be confused with the common fig which has edible fruits)
8 - Aglaonema (Chinese evergreen)
9 - Calathea lancifolia (Rattlesnake plant 🐍)
Needless to say, that a mostly dark flat or a narrow car interior aren't the best places for such plants. It probably would take a miracle for them to survive...
Edit: @dreaded-mika pointed out that plant #3 could be a Anthurium andreanum and you are absolutely correct (I asked a gardener to confirm)! Thank you!!
