Best Friends to Eternal lovers - Baghra's POV and Alina's POV

Having to fill in for my son to bring forth a girl who could not summon at will was absurd...but it was technically his wedding night since he and his bride chose to go get the girl instead of running off to their wedding night early. So I did as asked and when it was time, brought Alina before the King. The King and I hardly had much interaction to say the least.

"Moi Tsar, this is Alina Starkov. The Sun Summoner." I said as he looked at her, had my son been here there would probably be more finess, he knew how to charm the royals. Something I taught him but then he was my son. "Well let's see what she can do." He said as I nod to a Grisha who helped make the room go dark so the King could not see.

I didn't have a choice but to amplify the girl so she could see for herself that she was sunlight and even the royals were impressed. When it was over, then the King stood up. "Amazing, when can she start?" The King asked as I kept my cool despite my annoyance with being here in my sons place. "That will have to be taken up with General Kirigan, when he returns from his honey moon with his newly wife." I said

The King realized then he had no way of finding out the details he wanted with his General on a honeymoon with being newly wed. It was rare to even see a General get time and to see the two were off, I almost half expected Amira to come back pregnant with his child..the idea of my first grandchild seemed odd.

"Well get her training started, the faster we can become one nation the faster we can end the talk of this united Ravka." The King said as we both bowed. I walked Alina back to her room where she was hugged by the other Grisha and it seemed they all accepted her except one..the one who wanted my son's attention but lost it to his wife. After that we made it ot her room and she seemed to have questions.

"So you are?" Alina asked as I was still annoyed about this entire situation. "Baghra, I train the Grisha. I also help out when he needs it which is rare but then he doesn't get married everyday." I said as she must have picked up the idea that I was annoyed with his choices but it was his choices. "You don't like his wife? She seems nice, she said she's a hundred and eighteen years old.." Alina said as she must have noticed my annoyance.

-Alina's Pov-

Baghra was annoyed, I wondered why but she didn't seem to right out answer. "Yes, they are older than they both appear. The stronger the grisha, the longer the life." Baghra said though I got the feeling there was so much more than she was letting on. Baghra then looked like she wanted to tell me something but then she saw a fabrikator come and they talked over a few things.

"You're going to do practice starting tomorrow and you'll do combat practice. You will come and do lessons with me after that." Baghra said as I nod but had a feeling she would tell me in time.

As I went to my room I laid down, one thing I saw when we were walking was grisha girls upset..I wondered what that was all about but figured that I would find out in time.4

-Baghra pov-

Walking back to my hut I wondered how far this was going to go, who would Aleksander give the stag to if he was truly going after the stag. Though, I knew the truth or I could guess who he would give it to...Amira.

The whole reason I wanted to keep Amira from Aleksander was in case he got power hungry..especially after Merzost but it wasn't working. No matter how much time I kept them apart, they found each other over and over again. Aleksander had become obsessed with his grandfather's study and now he had not one but two Sun Summoners to do his bidding..I could only hope that Amira will make wise choices.

I thought about warning Alina about Aleksander, how he might turn Amira into his own benefit. Warn her that he might try to find a way to split the amplifier between them to trigger both of their power..but it wasn't heard of..

He would never break the laws and try to give the stag to both..would he? The more I thought about it the more I thought he might try to figure out how to do just that. Have both of them bound to his power, but where Amira would be free as his lover..he would turn Alina into a slave. I knew I had to prepare her for whatever would come.

My Son will not win..

Best Friends to Eternal lovers - traveling back

Having her be the Sun Summoner meant that I was safe, Aleks wouldn't have to worry about me being exposed but push came to shove then I would use my power against the druskelle. Aleks had the grisha soldiers take Alina to the carriage that we had arrived in and get her to the little palace. When we were alone I looked at Aleks "You know that druskelle will come looking for her. We have to follow the carriage and you owe me a wedding night still." I said as he nod and got a cloak from where it was hanging as he pulled it over me and pulled it over my head.

"Druskelle show up, you take them down with your Sunlight..you let no Druskelle live if you do.." Aleksander said as I nod in agreement to what he wanted. As we went and got on horses we prepared to go and headed off following to the carriage..but then I heard someone call for me and I looked back seeing Nicolas Stark but I had to go.

Sorry, not able to stop and chat.. I thought

Heading off with the Aleksander on horses we made good distance but then he slowed down his horse to let me go ahead. I knew why, it had to look like he didn't know or that I was him so that no one suspected at first. As I made it, I saw druskelle fighting Grisha and one getting near the carriage as I formed sunlight blades and cut down the druskelle present keeping my head covered as that got their attention and they came running at me as I jumped off the horse. I knew my identity was to remain secret and I got a lot of the druskelle but then one got really close only to be cut in half by Aleks and get the cloak covered in blood and then we heard Alina yell as he cut that one in half and seen it was clear.

"More than likely their allies heard their screams and seen the light so they retreated." Aleksander said

Ivan approached showing respect as I walked over to Alina and helped her up keeping the cloak over my head. Ivan spoke up "who is this? This Sun Summoner.." Ivan asked as Aleksander ignored him and went over to us. "Now that we're here the druskelle will be wanting to come. So we need to make haste in traveling." He said as Alina nods and then looked at me, she didn't know it was me just that it was someone.

"General.." Ivan said but Aleksander got annoyed with his pestering and he sighed. "This stays confidential between those present." He said as he removed the hood of the cloak and revealed my face which made everyone gasp.

"You're a Sun Summoner.." Alina said as I smiled at her. "Much more than that..I'm a tidemaker too" I admitted as I looked around. Ivan approached and opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off. "Don't let my appearance fool you Ivan. I'm older than you, my husband and I are close in age." I said which made him shut up.

We started to move on from there and then had to set up camp at a certain spot. Alina walked over to me and sat down. "So people say the General is over a hundred years old..and you said you're close in age with him.." Alina said as I looked at her and nod. "He's a year or two older than me..we were childhood friends." I admitted as she was shocked.

"So you're.." I didn't let Alina finish as I smiled. "A hundred and eighteen years old..or so." I said knowing Aleksander was telling people he was a hundred and twenty years old or so...not the truth. That he's much older and stronger than he appears. "Sun Summoners and Shadow Summoners live long lives..I have loved him since I was sixteen and I have had to let him go and survive all this time to get here.." I admitted

Alina was processing what I said knowing that I loved one man my entire eternity and I would only love that one man. My Aleks, my grisha soulmate, my everything..I got the whole story of the fold. The threat on the Grisha, the threat on Baghra..Luda's death.

Aleks motioned for me to come to him as I got up and walked over to him. I loved the fact he was able to be there for me and I was able to be there for him.

"I'll have to talk to the King of her arrival..tell him we saw the light just as we were going to start our wedding night." Aleksander said as I knew camping out in the woods not what I wanted. "Once I arrange things with the King, he's sending us to somewhere private." He said

I was glad and shocked at the same time but happy to know that he was going to be alone with me for some time. Alina seemed to notice how close we were and I didn't mind that as I kissed him.

After that we headed off to bed and in the morning finished traveling back to the little palace. Once there, I went to bathe and Alina was showed to a room.

I waited a little bit before Aleks returned to me and he nods. "The King wishes to see her. Baghra will present her.." he said and then pulled me close. "And as for me, I am all yours for the next few days.." Aleksander said as he kissed me and I kissed him back. I loved this so much having him all to myself.

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers - wedding after party and another Sun Summoner

We walked together happy talking with people and just having a good time when Baghra walked over and approached us. I knew she didn't like me, she probably never would but I was her daughter-in-law now..and I was his Grisha soulmate. "Mother.." Aleksander said as I kept hold of his arm. "Congratulations Aleksander." Baghra said as I spoke up. "So, Should I call you mo-" but Baghra caught me off "No." She said

I rolled my eyes knowing that she would never accept me for what I meant to Aleks..that was fine. "Mother, she's my wife now. She's going to be the mother of your grandchildren someday." He said as we had talked about it..having kids together. We were always planning for this day.

After that we went and talked with guests, my parents hugged us and congratulated us so that was the nice thing. Most Grisha were happy about the wedding accepting that I was now their General's wife I was happy but Zoya walked over. She put on a fake smile and looked at me "Congratulations.." She said

I merely smiled and then we went out, Aleks was never one for dancing but we did have a small dance together which was fine. I was glad to be his wife and know that he would be with me forever. "So do you want kids?" Aleksander asked as we danced and I nod. He looked at me as we slow danced together and he kissed my cheek then whispered in his ear. "then we'll start tonight.." He said

I knew that he was offering me something I wanted for so long, something that I would have had probably all those years ago..after all we would find each other and sleep together during those four hundred years..and yeah, I never mentioned it but I had a few pregnancy scares in the past thinking I was pregnant with his child only to find out it was a false alarm.

"I can't wait.." I whispered as we both smiled at each other and then took our time to enjoy. After the dance then we headed for the table as we enjoyed our time. "You are a beautiful bride my wife" Aleksander said as he kissed my cheek.

After so long we were together that was all that mattered to me right now as he led me to the bed chambers where we were alone. Aleksander cupped my cheeks in his hands as he looked at me, the subtle makeup on my face was from Genya but it would fade over time. "So beautiful, my Amira." Aleksander said as he smirked. We kissed making out with our wedding attire on when we saw a light in the distance in the fold.

"Well the saints have blessed our wedding with a solution.." He said as I nod but knew this was not the day I wanted to find another Sun Summoner. Still, I would be nice and tolerate the occasion as we got changed and headed out to the carriage. All the way there, we could hardly keep our hands off each other now that we were officially married..it made the travel time seem so little as I wanted my wedding night..but I would have to wait with this discovery.

Aleksander seemed to get the idea of what I wanted as he ran his hand over my kefta as he opened it. "Aleks.." I said as he smirked knowing he had me completely. "Yes, my wife..I know this is not what you wanted for a Sun Summoner to show up on our special day." He said as I nod in knowing that was true. "Don't worry, I'll make it quick and make it up to you.." He assured me as he kissed my neck and I enjoyed every minute of it that he was mine.

When the carriage stop I had to make myself decent as he'd messed with my kefta and clothes a little too much so when the door opened we looked presentable. Walking to his tent, he kissed me infront of everyone as I kissed him back and then we went about business..i was standing beside him as she was brought in...

Aleksander and I exchanged looks as we were not sure what to expect and I could tell she was a soldier. Looking forward I noticed she seemed surprised that I was there. "Come closer." Aleksander said as I watched her come closer but not much. "Closer." He said as she did again. Then she started talking about what happened, she knew that he was not here.. Aleks raised his hand and looked at her. "What are you?" Aleksander asked, wanting to make sure we had the right girl but she seemed confused by the question. "Alina Starkov, A map maker." Alina said

"May I?" I asked him as he looked over at me and nod as I approached close to her and she seemed to be watching. "You've gotta be more than a map maker..we saw the light.." I said but she didn't answer me. "Answer the General's wife." One of the grisha in the tent said which caught her off guard. "General's wife??" Alina asked confused and Amira wasn't surprised most didn't know that they had wed. "Today is our wedding day, we had just gotten married when we saw the light and came here.." I said but Alina wasn't even answering.

Aleks walked over "when were you tested?" He asked as Alina didn't answer. "You don't remember?" He asked as she was quiet so then Aleks walked over with his ring and used it to test her. Watching, we saw the light coming from the cut he made on her arm and I knew that we'd found the solution to the problem we wanted...the saints truly had given a gift and maybe..just maybe this was a decendant of my great aunt's bloodline.

Could she be my distant cousin? It would explain the Sun Summoning..but it's hard to tell..only time will tell.. I thought

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers - Wedding

Amira's pov:

Aleks comforted me and I was glad that for once I'd won against Baghra knowing this was not going to be easy. The fete was still going on but I didn't want to go back and seemed he didn't either as he kissed me. Kissing him back as I knew we were soulmates and that was the part that Baghra seemed to not understand.

When Aleksander pulled away he put a hand on my cheek as he knew the hardships we had to go through to get here...four hundred years of finding each other and losing each other..it was undeniably a hard time for the two of us and now I just wanted our life. "We should have ran.." I said as I knew we'd talked about it..tears fell from my eyes of all the pain inside I'd ignored. Aleks looked at me as he kept his hand on my cheek and wiped my tears away. "I wouldn't be as strong as I am now to protect you..to give you the life you deserve Amira. You are stronger than once were back then.. We'd have always been on the run..moving place to place. Never truly being ourselves." Aleksander said

I knew he was right but that didn't change how I felt as he smiled kissing my forehead as he calmed me down. "But things would be different..the fold would have never become a thing..and Grisha.." I stopped knowing Grisha would not be as important as they are now. "Grisha have a better purpose now than they did back then, but you..you would not have had to gone to extreme lengths i-" he cut me off with a kiss surprising me knowing that it was clear on one thing as I kissed him back.

Aleks pulled away as he looked into my eyes, his dark ones pulling me in like a distraction that I wanted. "You did not need to be there..You could have been killed. Things would not have changed and we have to keep moving forward. Focus on the importance of the wedding." He said as I smiled. I knew the truth of the fact that he'd lost the girl, his healer that day but he was always meant to reunite with me as I nod.

For the next two months we were finishing up plans, the king had become involved to give us the ballroom to have for the wedding though it was a small private affair but 2nd army was not small in any way so it worked. Last we decided on was the cake which we'd tried and I was glad that we could all agree..

So you can imagine the night before I hardly slept, this day I'd wanted for so long had finally come the next morning. All the things I needed was in the room and we'd agreed to have the youngest Prince and Anna there as Aleks insisted with the King having Nikolai under his care. I didn't mind, the two seemed to be getting along fine. Sometime I fell asleep that in the morning I got myself ready.

Everything in me wanted to run out and see him, hug him but this was our wedding day. I heard a knock on my door and I walked to it but stopped sensing his shadows. "Aleks.." I said as he must have been struggling too. "Four hundred years...that's how long we've waited for this day..and soon it'll be official." Aleksander said as I knew he was right and smiled. "Just a little longer..my love." I said

When he walked away I smiled and soon it was time, my dad walked me down the aisle and my family was present. Since my colors were kept secret it didn't matter what I was as people gasped at me. "my she does look beautiful." One of the guests said as I was grisha but I looked the part of the bride.

Making it to Aleks my dad let him have my hand as we both smiled a little before looking at the priest who married us. We changed one of the lines from till death do us part to live our lives together as long as we both shall live. The priest looked at me first "Amira Silina, do you take General Kirigan as your husband?" He asked as I smiled "I do" I said as I would always. When he turned to Aleks before he asked Aleksander answered. "I do." He said as we exchanged rings and the priest announced us as husband and wife as we kissed.

At the little after party the king set up the wedding cake was shown and we were to feed each other cake which we did. Only we did with forks as we didn't want to ruin what the other was wearing. I loved it and then I noticed Baghra in the crowd despite everything and the horror and bad she'd put me through the fact she came amazed me.

it's official...I'm Amira Morozova now..to the people here Amira Kirigan. I thought but either way I was happy about it

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers - The Fete

When Genya was done she had an accessory for me which was black to wear in my hair but she went to put it up and I had her stop. "A half up, half down Genya." I said as she nod and did just that as she finished up. Just in time too since Aleks came in and got me as he nod his approval before Genya left and then he smiled as he pulled me close and kissed me and we smiled.

"I love you Aleks." I said as he offered his arm to me and I took it and he held my hand and kissed the top of my hand. Leading me to the ball room as I realized I was going into something I'd been wanting to attend with him for awhile and hadn't been able to with Anna and Nikolai needing someone to help..I love the fact that things were working out but the King. Aleks looked at me and I looked at him seeing he was in his usual behavior infront of 2nd army. "When we walk in the King will see us and he will wish to speak with you..since you were unable to make it to the fetes the previous years."

I nod knowing that it was going to work out one way or another so that we worked things out no matter what and I knew that this was good. Keeping hold of his arm I was able to remain calm as we entered. Nobles turned to look at us as for the first time in five year Aleks enters the fete with a woman on his arm and not just any woman but his fiancé.

So many people staring at us..or are they looking at my soon to be husband? I thought

Aleks adjusted my hold on his arm to get my attention as I looked at him "Seems the King has spotted us." He said as he looked at me "And if I have not said it you look lovely in my color Amira." His compliment made me smiled as he looked serious. "Now the Tsar is motioning us over." I nod as he led me over and we showed respect. "Moi Tsar." Aleksander said to the King

"General, is this her? The woman we spoke of who owns the Grisha Orphanage." The King asked as Aleksander held some admiration as he spoke. "She is, allow me to introduce my fiancé Amira Silina." Aleksander said as I kept my tone respectful "Moi Tsar, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." I said as he looked at the two of us.

I wondered how people saw us with both of us in his color and my secret small science just that a secret. "Well, I was hoping our meeting would have been sooner. I hear you have a Grisha Orphanage." The King said as I knew that was going to come up and I knew that there wouldn't be anything. "I do..I..well more my family now bring Grisha kids into their gifts and we teach them to survive" I said as the King looked surprised by my words.

"Your family are Grisha?" He asked as it was clear not many must have had a full Grisha bloodline. "Yes, Tsar." I said as the King nod then looked interested. "How many of the children join 2nd army General?" He asked as Aleksander had kept a record between the last five years. "Numbers have increased in the last five years, her orphanage has found some of the hard to find Grisha." Aleksander complimented me as he kept hold. "I see, well that is something. And I hope the adjustment these past five years has been easy for you." The King asked

"Yes, I maintain contact with the family members in charge and my fiancé has helped my work to be able to be delivered easily to me." I said as the King nod. "I wish to offer more funding for your orphanage so things will be easier. A monthly contribution." The King said but Aleks knew I let the kids decide whether they came here or not and the King would expect all of them to come. "That is Generous of you Moi Tsar." I said as I saw Aleks give a look to me that said I should accept so I didn't refuse.

After that we were able to socialize with people but Aleks had to work still and talk with Nobles. So when he left me alone I went and got a drink from the table but I heard the sound of the cane before she'd talked. "Amira..let's talk" Baghra said as I looked at her. Baghra was always the grisha that brought up all my pain and suffering..so why now? What did she want to talk about?

I decided to humor her as we walked outside of the room to talk as she turned. "You've had five years, you have distracted him and now you need to go. Leave." Baghra said as I was shocked she'd say that but I clenched my fist. 400 years...four hundred years I'd waited to be with him and again she tried to get in the way. "I will not!" I said as she looked at me and I knew it was now or never. "You cannot and will not separate us again. We're getting married Baghra, get over it."

Then I walked away and went in despite everything I got another cup as my current one was empty and had some of it. Aleks finished with his work and went over as he put a hand on my shoulder as I turned to look at him and I must of been on the verge of tears cause he wiped my eyes. "Come on" He said as he used his shadows to take me out of there and once we were alone in his war room he held me close "Now what happened?" I told him everything about what Baghra did and said as I felt his anger rise and he was pissed. I couldn't blame him but he left the war room leaving me there for a minute as I had the drink. Aleks's pov: How many times would she continue to do this? Amira is the love of my life, my soulmate and now she's upset cause of that insufferable woman. When I found her she was in her hut and I burst in. "What is the meaning of this?" Baghra asked as I was pissed. "When are you going to stay out of my relationship?! First, you leave me with her to prove we can handle it then you made sure I went out and slap her. Then everytime I have found her, you've made sure something has happened I had to let her go! Well not this time!" I yelled in anger as she looked at me unfazed at my anger.

"She's a distraction, she probably wants children which you don't have the time for." Baghra said, she was insufferable! I did want them and I knew Amira probably did too she'd waited for the chance to be with me all this time. "I can make the time, I have made the time for her and you don't get a say. Stay out of my relationship! She's going to be my wife and she is my soulmate!" I yelled at her which seemed to surprise her but I didn't care as I went back after calming down then hugged Amira.

I will never let her go again..Mother will never come between us ever again. I thought

Best Friends to Eternal lovers - soulmate mark and preparing for the fete

Aleksander led me away as if he wasn't even bothered and I knew that the fete was important. I had yet to make the chance to talk with the King in the five years I'd been there. So for the next several weeks Aleks prepared me for the fete instead of our usual practices but as soon as that was done we'd done what we wanted.

Weeks went by as I was glad that things were fine but Baghra was almost like at every corner when I turned around. While I can avoid her thanks to 2nd army there was the matter at which Baghra and I would butt heads and that would be Anna's training. Aleksander already told everyone but her in 2nd army she was the only tidemaker not to be taken to Baghra. So, I took care of her training in a secure location.

The day of the fete Aleksander held me close as we kissed and he picked me up taking me over to his bed as we made out. I knew the matter of our wedding was just within planning as this was the task at hand this fete before the count down to the day I became his wife officially. He opened my kefta to remove it and I let him as I moved kissing his neck and made a hickey on him as he soon returned the gesture on me.

He always made me feel desire, love and want knowing that it was just us. It was after he removed my kefta that I heard him gasp and look as he looked at me in surprise. "What is it, Aleks?" I asked as he looked at me. He removed his own kefta as he looked at his wrist seeing something there and I was confused before he smiled.

"Aleks?" I asked as he hadn't showed me and he pulled me even closer as we kissed. "Mine, my love, my soulmate." He said which shocked me and I took hold of the wrist he had and looked seeing my markings as I was in shock. I sudden feeling went over me that the love of my life was indeed as I said the one for me after all. I kissed him as I climbed on top of him and had him on his back as I pulled away and looked at him. "I always said you are the only one for me. That stands true forever." I said as he pulled me close and we were going to kiss again when there was a knock on the door.

"Yes?" Aleksander said as he moved his head towards the door holding me close as I knew we still had to get ready. "Pardon General, but the lady's attire is done and ready. We wanted to deliver hers first." A man said as Aleksander moved me off standing up as he readjusted his attire and fixed his hair from our rolling around on the bed as he walked to the door and opened it as we saw the servants bring in a couple boxes then bowed before leaving us.

Aleks ran a hand through his hair as he sighed and looked at the time "We have time." He said as he gestured for me to open them. I got on my knees as I opened the boxes seeing the kefta that looked like a dress in his color as I smiled and when I opened the other box I noticed something else shoes that I could wear to the fete.

Everything is in his color as it should be. I thought

"Come now put them on." Aleksander said as if it was important I changed then and I went to figure out how to put it on. Of course I could not do it alone so Aleksander had to help not that he didn't take his own amusement in kissing my exposed skin as he could and zipped it up. before putting the kefta part on me then he turned me around as he smiled adjusting the collar of the kefta to show off my soulmate mark. "I'm going to request Genya to come do your hair. So all I want is to keep my eyes on you." Aleks said as he held me close.

I smiled as I was just blessed that there would not be any fight, except one..Baghra. Tonight she could ruin possibly just my mood all together but I didn't want that. Aleksander kissed me as I kissed him back and he twirled me in his arms as I laughed knowing soon it would never be any different. "I love you Aleks." I said as he looked at me and I smiled with love in my eyes. "I love you too Sunshine, I have since you were sixteen and I will always love you." Aleksander said

Yet I worry your attention may go somewhere else if a Sun Summoner..another one show up. I thought

I surely shook that thought off but then he kissed me as he sighed. "I have to prepare. Genya will come then we'll go to the fete together with you on my arm and that is where you'll remain the entire night." Aleksander said as I nod. I knew that he'd never swayed i his feelings even as we were eternal and he'd have me for the rest of my life.

Aleksander kissed the top of my hand and then left as he left me to prepare myself the rest of the way. I went to the vanity and started to prepare but then the door opened as I looked seeing a red haired girl in a white Kefta. "You must be Genya." I said as this was my official first fete with Aleks.

Genya walked over as she looked me over and smiled "I am, you are the General's fiancé." Genya said as I laughed a bit and nod. "Please just Amira. He said you'd help me." I said as she nod and then started to prepare as I watched in the mirror seeing her do my hair and knew I'd be getting ready for the biggest event of my life.

Hopefully this goes well.. I thought

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers- Five years, Anna starts training

When we arrived I was tired but also hungry as he got down and helped me down as he led me in. I knew that it wasn't like I did much with not using my small science knowing it wasn't in the cards right now. So when people came to him asking about for the fete he handled it but never let me go.

You'll never let me go again..will you? I thought

His hand tightened around me as if he heard what I thought but I knew that was impossible. Yet as time went on I had to miss the first fete cause Anna and Nikolai both came down ill and someone had to take care of them. I didn't mind since there was plenty of opportunities to meet the king and I just had to wait but we'd decided on doing a long engagement so it didn't give the wrong impression.

So for five years this was our life, everytime Baghra tried to get close to me something came up that I was detoured away. I think she was starting to get the idea. Anna turned seven and Nikolai was nine, they'd ended up becoming friends with Anna under my care and Nikolai seeming to always be under his and by engagement mine.

Now Anna was old enough to go train with the kids her age as I was doing some paperwork that morning and I felt Aleks come up behind me kissing my neck on a hickey he'd gave me. "Amira, you should take Anna to the kids training grounds. As her guardian, you would be the best fit for this job and if anything happens to her you may come to me immediately." Aleksander said as I looked up and closed the file. "You're right.." I said as I stood up

I put my kefta on and finished up as I was about to leave when he pulled me close and kissed me. I kissed him back as I was completely in love with him and he was with me as I couldn't wait till the day I was his wife. "In a few months Amira, we'll do the wedding. After things calm down from this years fete and you can finally go now that Anna will be able to figure things out with kids her own age." Aleksander promised

I nod as I smiled and went to get Anna as Aleks had kept her in his hallway with her being my charge as I went to get her as we'd already all ate and knocked on her door. Anna opened the door as she looked up and smiled. "Anna, you get to socialize with the kids here your age." I said as I held my hand out to her and she took it as I led her there. Aleks had shown me all the places there and I was glad that he did so I knew the little palace like the back of my hand.

Anna:

When we made it there I was able to relax knowing she'd be fine and we made it. The teacher of the kids approached me and showed respect as most respected me here. "You are the General's fiancé." The teacher said knowing most of them didn't even socialize with me. "Yes, but please call me Amira. This is Anna, she's in my care but she's finally old enough to start training with the other kids." I said as the teacher nod and looked at Anna. "Nice to meet you Anna."

Anna was still shy so she kept close but I had her come around me as I made sure she stayed infront of me and I kneeled down to her height. "I'll be back to get you after your training unless I have to go with Aleks by the fold. If that happens your friend will come get you and bring you back." I said as she nod and then went with the teacher.

Nikolai and Anna are such good friends..kinda reminds me of me and Aleks at that age. I thought

I walked away to get back to Aleks when Baghra was out of her hut and she'd used her cane to cut me off from walking as I stopped. "You're quite lazy, aren't you?" Baghra said as I looked at her like she was crazy. "I am not, I work with him. I'm constantly doing things to help when he needs me even if you don't see me." I said as I was going to walk around when she went to swing her cane at me and again I grabbed the cane in mid air. "If you're coming at me because I am not Ravka's savior to fix the problem. Tough. He doesn't want me risking my life for the problem and if you keep this up I think my grandmother may have something to say." I said

Despite it pissing her off I didn't care and I knew that Aleks and I had been in talks about the future. We were debating if we wanted kids of our won but I'd never tell her that. I was going to do everything in my power to keep her from messing this up for us. Once I got away I went to speak with the Fabrikators about the details of the wedding things..like my dress. They then told me about this piece that would go under my dress on my leg called a garter normally done in grisha colors but mine were secret so they didn't know how to do it.

What do I do? It's classified.. I thought

I heard someone walk in and Aleksander just seemed to show up at the right time as he handed them a paper. "Read this, then destroy it for that part. She's to be protected at all costs." Aleksander said as he put a hand on my head and I blushed a bit knowing he could just affect me in ways and I'd become used to this after five years of it. "General, what about her fete attire?" One of them asked as Aleksander thought about it "Her fete attire in my color only. We must keep my fiancé away from this mess even though she's partially involved as my 2nd in command." Aleks answered them.

This must be doing with the Apparat..I crossed paths with him once but since I am just in Aleks's color he paid no mind to me. Not only that people would think I'm a saint.. I thought

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers - Heading back to the little palace

Aleks lifted me up on his table where his maps were so we were eye to eye as he seemed to be admiring my surprise look. I blushed and looked away knowing he was the only one in my life to make me feel like this. Since the tent was closed up for privacy I felt Aleks unbutton the kefta I had on as I felt him move my hair out of the way.

"Aleks what are yo-" before I could finish I felt his lips on my neck making my blush even darker as he'd been using our time wisely since reuniting. So when I gasped at feeling him bite at a spot on my neck above my kefta collar he covered my mouth when it almost turned into a moan. He always made me feel things that others couldn't as he kept up making the hickey on my neck.

You always mark me..to show I'm yours..and I don't mind. I thought

When he pulled away he had me look at him and smirked as I looked at him and pulled him close kissing him. He smirked as he pulled my legs where he could stand between them as we kissed. When I pulled away he just held me close but I was working my own plan as I moved his kefta and kissed his neck as I made my own hickey on him.

After a few minutes I pulled away and smiled at my work seeing the way things were we were even. He was mine and I was his but we didn't have our soulmate marks to prove this was for us..it hurt me to think he would be meant for someone else. I felt him touch under my chin as he had me look at him. "What is on your mind? You have that look in your eyes Sunshine." He said using my nickname he'd given me to use when we're alone. "I..We haven't gotten our soulmate marks..what if we get married and.." before I finished he cut me off with a kiss.

I kissed him back my arms wrapping around his neck as we made out like this, I wouldn't allow him to do anything else. When he pulled away he made sure I was still looking at him. "No one is better for me than you Sunshine. So if the saints think otherwise they'd be mistaken..it's as we said you're the only one for me." Aleks said as he looked at me and I smiled "And you're the only one for me. My love, My equal." I said

After awhile he took me out of the tent as we walked around and knew that it wasn't going to be that easy. He held my hand as we walked and he took care of things he needed to as we were able to take care of things. My thoughts were everywhere between my new responsibilities, Anna, and the orphanage but I really didn't have a lot of work here as Aleks's 2nd.

I don't train with them..at least not for now. They probably think I just lay around and don't do much. I thought

We were both in black since he was keeping my small science secret but I looked at it..the fold. His mistake but he wanted to keep me out of it even though my power could be a symbol of hope and yet..the stag. "We'll find it." He said as if he knew what I was thinking about. In truth we both knew that I could stay hidden for so long before I became apart of this so he'd been taking measures to find the best solutions.

"Hey Amira.." I heard a familiar voice say as I looked seeing one of the boys who'd volunteered at my orphanage..but the problem was this one had been the reason I stopped letting humans volunteer there as my grip tightened a little on Aleks's hand. He stopped and noticed as he looked seeing the first army boy and then he held me close.

He motioned for Ivan and Fedyor to come over as he told them to keep the boy away and led me with him. I never opened up about the past in the orphanage but once we were alone he looked at me. "So you want to tell me what that was about? I've never felt you scared before.." He said his tone of slight anger that a human could do that to me clear. "I..I don't want to talk about it right now.." I said as I went with him

We finished up the business there then he led me to the carriage as he got in and had the heartrenders go with us for now. Having me there by him he wrapped his arm around me as he rubbed my back knowing it wasn't going to be easy. I closed up when it was bad and he knew that since I hardly talked about the time in the orphanage. Yet the ride would be long before too long I took a deep breath.

"I'll tell you.." I said as he looked at me but knew that I couldn't speak too freely with the others there and people were following in aid as he knocked on the top to get the carriage to stop. "Can you two join the others outside the carriage for now? I'd like to talk with her alone." Aleksander said as he knew I was clearly having a hard time with it.

Ivan and Fedyor got out without hesitating as he knocked on the top again as we started moving again. "Alright, go ahead and talk Amira." Aleks said as he put an arm around me so I'd be comfortable. "That boy his name is Peter..he used to volunteer with the orphanage when I allowed humans. I wasn't paying attention to his flirting and advances with all my work." I said

I tensed at the memory as I covered my mouth and tears started to fall, it wasn't even really that bad but somehow I just couldn't shake it and be ok. Aleks held me close as he let me get it out knowing a human caused this. "I should have been paying attention and he pinned me..he tried to kiss me even after I told him I was with someone..my dad kicked him out before he could try anything else.." I said as he rubbed my back.

I calmed down as I wiped my eyes feeling silly now "Seeing him brought it all back and now that he knows I'm at the little palace.." I said but felt him put a hand under my chin and had me look at him. "He would think twice before he tries to approach you. You're under my protection with your small science secret..I'm strong enough to protect you now."

Aleks..you're so strong but you've been hurting too..from our separations. From losing your healer..but I'm here now. I can heal those wounds..maybe. I thought

Aleks held me as I closed my eyes relaxing with his arm around me as I dozed off on the way back. With him, I could let my guard down and know everything would be alright but going back meant I had to deal with Baghra again. "She's going to try to hit me again Aleks..she tried to hit me with her cane." I said as I knew Baghra just seemed to hate me. Hate me with him, despite how much we'd gotten close..Aleks ran his fingers through my hair to calm me down. "Know I won't let that happen..and she's never liked anyone I'd been with. I figured she'd be more lenient with you being the granddaughter of her best friend." Aleks said

The carriage suddenly stopped as we both looked at each other when my eyes opened and I knew something was up. He knew I couldn't do anything like this, his hatred was clear as I realized something. Without me, he was a man consumed with vengeance for those he lost but he took me and got out seeing the grisha handling the enemy but then he used the cut on one of them which made the others run.

Aleks went over taking one of the horses and saddling it for us as he looked at Ivan and Fedyor "I'm taking her ahead. We can't afford to lose anyone so finish them off and meet back at the little palace." Aleksander told them as they nod and he had me get on as he got on ahead of me and we rode off.

The enemy..I train the kids to take them down and if I was able to use my small science willingly instead of keeping it secret we'd have an advantage..but I'd always have a target on my back. I do anyway, an invisible target for just being Grisha..like we all do. To Aleks though, it's a bigger target being his fiancé..after all Luda died but it wasn't for being with him. I thought

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers - 2nd army by the fold

Ivan and I didn't see eye to eye as he'd been the problem the past month as he didn't like not knowing a Grisha's small science but he wouldn't argue with Aleks. "So, how long have you known the General?" Fedyor asked as he was curious as I looked at him. I knew the real truth was easier, why Aleks knew I could do this was he knew I was trained to lead just like him. "Since we were kids..he's not just my fiancé..he's my best friend." I said

Fedyor probably didn't expect that but it was true and Ivan scoffed a bit as he annoyed me but I kept my mouth shut. Grandma always told me that if I didn't have something nice to say don't say anything. So I read over the letter I had from first army. I knew the boy I was friends with had gone into first army and he seemed to be doing well.

When the carriage stopped, Fedyor opened the door and motioned for me to get out as I did putting the letter away. All the Grisha looked at me seeing I'd gotten out of a black carriage which I figured was one of Aleks's carriages when he walked out of his tent and walked over. "Hello love, you made it safely" Aleksander said as he offered his hand to me and I took it without hesitation as he led me back to his tent.

I saw all the other Grisha looking and whispering wondering who I was and what I was doing here. Clearly that was why I was here for them to know but he seemed to have another idea right now as once we were in his tent he dismissed people in there. Once we were alone he turned and kissed me as I kissed him back and we both smiled knowing this was not entirely the life we asked for but it's the life we're getting together. "So you want 2nd army here to meet me?" I asked as he looked at me seriously now "Why wouldn't I want them to know my 2nd in command who can lead just as well as I can?" He asked as I knew that he was being serious.

He let me get comfortable in his tent before he called a meeting in his tent which was huge so everyone came. "You called for everyone General?" They asked as he nod being his usual serious self with them as he nod. "I did, as you've heard I have a second in command now in the little palace. She's been in the little palace for a month now and she's more than qualified to be my lieutenant General." Aleksander said to them as he made a motion for me to come up.

I was sitting in the darkest part of his tent so when I walked out people gasped as I walked over to him and people just starred as it was clear I was Grisha but they probably thought I was a Shadow Summoner like he was. He led me where I stood before them and looked at them with the same serious tone he'd started this meeting. "This is my lieutenant General, Amira Silina. She's also my fiancé and since she's endured the same training I underwent with her own family she is helping with our cause." Aleks told them.

I saw the women there take my appearance in seeing the ring on my hand and my necklace but the fact I was done up in his color was enough to claim his words true. One of the grisha spoke up "What..is she?" I knew that question was off limits to anyone who wanted to know. "That is none of your concern. For now just know she's a strong fighter and she helps with the combat practice back in the little palace so we can have good fighters."

I figured they would argue with him with saying that but they accepted it none the less about what was going on. While he looked at me or at least that's what I could tell from the corner of my eye I could tell that there was more going on maybe he overlooked. The scowls on their faces from the girls showed they didn't like me.

That's ok..I don't need to be liked to be helpful in this war. I thought

When I looked at him he seemed to be admiring my features but then he cleared his throat and looked at his warriors knowing that he had to be professional. "That is all for now. Meeting adjourned." He said as they all left. Yet I knew this had some risks with all the women seeing me.

Once alone I looked at him and knew he put me in quite a predicament with 2nd army girls and I knew the truth. My fiancé is a hot powerful Grisha so of course people were jealous of me but I didn't care at the moment. I was broken out of my thoughts when I felt his lips on mine as we kissed and I knew that people would think twice before getting on his bad side. "Well that went well, don't you think?" He asked as I looked at him in the eyes and got serious. "Come on Aleks. You showed me off tot he others and now some of them are pissed if not jealous that you're soon to be married." I said

Aleksander smirked a bit as I realized something was off, the timing of him bringing me to 2nd army camp here after the run in with Baghra..he did it on purpose. "You've had the room be watched." I said as he nod. "I wondered if when I was gone mother would try to make a move to do something on you. I mean I am making the time to train you on the cut, not her. Fedyor was under orders to bring you here if anything like that happened." Aleksander explained

He's one step ahead of Baghra.. I thought

Best Friends to Eternal lovers- First part of living together

It's official...we're engaged..now it's just handling Baghra. I thought

Baghra was the one person who considered the worst out of me but then there was a knock as I looked at the door. Aleksander walked in as a fabrikator walked in with something that looked similar to his. "This is for your guest General.." The Fabrikator said as I looked and then Aleksander corrected him. "Not my guest, she is my fiancé." I knew he was respected around here so they nod as they offered the kefta to me seeing it was just in his color as he promised as I put it on.

"It's a little big on her." Aleksander remarked as the fabrikator used their power to adjust it to it fitting perfectly and then Aleksander approved it before they bowed and left. I'd never get used to the idea that people bowed as we were alone. "Are you hungry?" He asked as I nod in agreement "There is a kitchen, I could make us something like old times.." I offered but he looked at me and I realized I was in the little palace and I'd seen the servants.. "Sorry...I'm not used to servants. All these years I've been making meals preparing for the day we'd live together.." I said

Aleksander led me out having his arm around me as we headed to the kitchen and I looked around. We passed a few of his soldiers and I felt their glares on me but they wouldn't do it infront of his face. When we made it to the kitchen he let go "Go ahead and make what you want. I'll even help" He offered as I was surprised knowing that he was used to the servants. Still I went and looked over what was happening as I looked seeing that the little palace had so may varieties.

Aleksander pointed out which ones the servants were allowed to make for him which was a bit higher quality compared to the ingredients of peasant food. So I worked with that to my advantage as I made our dinner and he watched as I focused since I knew what I was doing and when I was done we had a nice chicken dinner with potatoes and vegetables. "Oh wow that looks so good.." Aleksander said having not seen me cook in a while but then he noticed there were leftovers. "How about a servant takes the rest of these and gives them to Anna and Nikolai.."

I nod as I prepared another set of bowls but I knew Anna was only three so I cut down her stuff so when she'd eat it wouldn't choke her and I noticed he was tending to the plate for Nikolai. "So you want to tell me how you're raising the youngest prince?" I asked as he looked over at me and then looked at the plate. "It's complicated, I watch him and the other prince from time to time but I'll explain in the room." He said as I nod. Then prepared waters for the kids as I knew it was best for them. He had a servant take the meals to the kids and then we went to his room as we made it back and opened the door.

Baghra was there waiting for us as we walked in and sat the plates down as I knew our first night together was not going to be easy. "Mother, what are you doing here?" Aleksander asked as he knew that she'd slapped me all those years ago. "I figured you'd bring her by when you both arrived back." Baghra said as she looked over at me and walked over to me. "So you've probably grown quite powerful in four hundred years Amira." Baghra said as I nod knowing that was true. "Perhaps it'd be good for you to learn the cut." "You'd teacher the cut?" Aleksander asked skeptical and I was even skeptical for the whole reason of she'd probably berate me when we'd be alone. "She could always learn soemthing new." She said as I looked at Aleks. I could tell he was thinking it over as Baghra wasn't wrong. "Think about it Amira and have a good night." Baghra said

What are you up to? I thought

We sat at the table as he went to where he kept and poured us two glasses of kvas as he handed me one and I accepted it as he sat down. I watched as he took the first bite and was shocked. "Amazing, you've improved so much." He said as I saw he was looking at the vegetables and I knew he didn't like them but I saw him eat them and the gasp of surprise was amusing. "How do you do that? Make them taste not like they're supposed to." He said as I smiled knowing I had my ways. "A lot of kids don't like them so I kept figuring it out and finally did.." I said

The night was the first one of many to come and I was enjoying it knowing that soon we'd get to spend the rest of our eternity together. Still, the idea that we're engaged made me think about the other things I wanted. "Amira, what's on your mind?" Aleksander asked as I looked at him and I knew the truth. "I don't trust your mother..after everything.." I said as Aleksander nod knowing Baghra was the whole reason we didn't have this to begin with.

After dinner, I cleaned up as the servants came to get the dishes then I looked at him "Mind if I use the shower?" I asked as he laughed a bit "It's your room too now, so go ahead." Getting adjusted was not going to be easy so I did and then we went and laid in bed. For the first time in 400 years I fell asleep within five minutes in his arms.

This went on for a month and I was happy about it so while he did work with 2nd army I handled my paperwork and we took care of Anna and Nikolai together. I became like a chef for us and the kids as we agreed it was for the best. He also liked the idea that if one of us would get poisoned I'd be able to isolate to what it was.

One day when Aleks had to go to the fold I was dealing with some things in the room with my paperwork when there was a knock on the door. It wasn't Anna, that was clear and Nikolai was at his lesson which meant Baghra.

I do not want to deal with her.. I thought

I ignored it as I kept working but then I heard the door open as I was looking over the papers I had seeing the break down of my orphanage. Seeing we'd jus acquired our first tailor and I had a lot of the other grisha there. Her foot steps were obvious but I still ignored her that when she went to use her cane to touch me I grabbed it in mid air as I looked at her.

"I did not answer the door, I did not invite you into the room. What do you want Baghra?" I asked as I had been clear with Aleks I didn't want to interreact with her. So Aleks had taken it upon himself to teach me the cut the best he could. I was struggling but that was to be expected and in his absence I was in charge of 2nd army.

"I hear you're engaged to my son, for a month now and I want to know what intentions you're intending here." Baghra demanded as I looked ove rthe papers and didn't even look at him. "Oh please don't play dumb. I am your son's lover, I have always been his lover even if you didn't approve and I am now his 2nd in command here so you can walk out that door. We're getting married someday soon and you can't stop us."

I pissed her off but she couldn't do anything to me since Fedyor soon came knocking on the door making her leave. Fedyor walked in as I looked up "Yes..uh Fedyor, right?" I asked as he nod. "Yes, Amira. I'm glad you remembered. You have a letter from first army." Fedyor said as he handed the letter to me and I accepted it "Thank you Fedyor. Any news from my fiancé?" I asked as I knew that he went by the rules that Aleks gave them. "Yes, Amira. General has requested you're brought to the 2nd army camp by the fold for them to meet you. Seems you're gaining a reputation here." Fedyor said

"I see, well let's go and have someone watch Anna." I said as Anna was still my charge even if she wasn't my child. Fedyor nod as he led me and I was led to a carriage that was meant to take me there but the two heartrenders had gotten in. My small science was kept classified as he said and I just had to tolerate the ride there.

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers - Moving in

A week felt longer than it should have as I packed my things but in time I'd been working on files trying to make sure everything was taken care of and the thing was..I didn't know what to think when it came to Baghra. When I looked into the mirror all I could think about was Baghra slapping me across the face and telling me I was a distraction all those years ago.

I am not a distraction.. I thought

I was still reeling over that but when Anna came to see me then I was looking back as I'd packed for her too.. "Amira.." Anna said as I looked back at her. I felt tears in my eyes as I wiped them knowing I never should have had to wait this long for my life with Aleksander as I smiled and went over to Anna. "We're gonna go somewhere away ok." I said as she was bullied by the other kids and I didn't want that.

Daniel was preparing but I wondered just how much Aleks had to get through before the end of the week.

Aleksander's pov:

Having that time with Amira was better than the last few times that we'd found each other and every time it led to us sleeping together. As I was in the carriage heading back I knew there were things I needed to prepare for. Like my mother and the King..I needed to make sure the King didn't know my fiancé is a Sun Summoner..the last thing I wanted was to have her fixing my mistake.

I'll find another Sun Summoner to fill that spot..I just have to get his approval to get her in and then she'll be put in a kefta in my color only. Anyone asks..it's classified.. I thought but then there was mother..just thinking about her and Amira in the same area I tried to maintain my anger remembering what Amira told me four hundred years ago when I found her in that village.

The idea that mother had been the whole reason I couldn't have her to begin with pissed me off but to know she called her a distraction. Amira was the whole reason I was doing this now, continuing this life so I could protect her and take her with me. When the carriage arrived I went and was told the King wanted to talk.

I knew the timing was perfect as I walked to the grand palace as the King talked with me over a few subjects. Of course I agreed to attend to them before he asked if there was anything new that had come up. "Moi Tsar, I am happy to report I found a location that is taking in Grisha children and training them to be fighters." He said as the King looked of interest. "And who runs this orphanage?" He asked as I knew too well to keep it known. "My fiancé of many years. She's the owner and she's undergone similar training to myself as she's able to figure out and bring Grisha into their gifts..being Grisha herself."

The interest the King took was unsettling but he seemed to go for this "Perhaps you could bring her to the fete..I'd love to meet her and discuss her working with us." The King said as that I could work with. "I have directly talked with her already, seems she gives the kids a choice and they're willingly choosing to come here..I asked her to move in with me next week." I mentioned as the King nod in approval. "Yes, well I look forward to meet ing her if she's supporting the cause." The King said as he dismissed the meeting.

I walked away with a smirk knowing I knew more about what was going on then he did. Now I just had to make the final arrangements for her as I headed to mother's hut and walked in there. She was finishing up with a lesson and once they left she looked at me. "And what do I owe the visit?" She asked as she always disrespected me no matter how old I was.

"I am here to give you a warning. I found her, I am not giving her up and you will not push her off this time mother. She's moving in with me by the end of the week and that is final." I said as I had loved Amira since I was seventeen and I never really stopped loving her. I knew she felt the same considering every time we reunited her first instinct was to kiss me. "I can't promise that.." Baghra said

"I hear of you slapping her like you did when she was sixteen and there will be consequences." I said as a warning then left as I needed to make adjustments with my bedroom now. She'd still be doing her work for the Orphanage so I made sure there was an extra desk in the room she could work in. After everything was done it was just waiting for the end of the week and then when the day came I went and got in the carriage..but I was stuck with the youngest Pirnce Nikolai and so I had to bring him along.

Amira's pov:

The week was killer in waiting as I'd taken care of all the arrangements and I'd done everything that I needed to but I was hesitant to leave. Grandma though took all the work I had in my hands and kept hold of it as I looked at her.

"Enough, you've waited four hundred years for this opportunity to be his wife and to live with him. We gave you the blessing to do what you wanted a long time ago." Grandma said as she knew just what to say to help me. "But Grandfather is.."

Grandfather walked in the room and seen us as I looked at him knowing that his amplifier was weakening everyday and not only that my mother, my sister, my brother..they'd all start to age soon. The moment mom started to age dad was clear he'd give up summoning and then it'd be me, Grandma and the descendants of my siblings if they had any as he looked at me. "If you don't go move in with the love of your life I will not be able to rest when it is time. I am inferni, I should have died a long time ago." He said

He's not wrong.. I thought

I heard the sound of the carriage outside before I fully could process everything but I wanted to make something to go with us. I ran to the kitchen and remembered the dessert I made the first time in the hut. His expression that day we spent together for the first time in years when it was just us as friends. They were easy to make as I heard him talking to grandma. "Hello Lady Catalina, where is Amira?" He asked as her kind voice answered. "She's in the kitchen." She said

the cookies I was making were baking as I focused on making sure they didn't burn but I watched and I heard his footsteps as he walked in and hugged me. "What are you making?" He asked as he moved my hair and placed kisses on my neck. I closed my eyes as I enjoyed times like these, the beard he had scratched against my skin. "Something I haven't made in a long time." I said

He lifted his head up as I felt him remove his lips from my neck and he whispered "Well that I haven't smelled in a long time." I smiled as I knew it was true. Once they were ready I pulled them out and let them cool as I got the container to take them with us and I packed up half of them to take with us as he pulled me close and held me. Some of the kids peeked in and seen us as I looked.

"Miss Amira..are you leaving?" One of the kids as sked as I looked at Aleks knowing I was but I wasn't going to be gone. "I have some meetings arranged I have to go to but I'll be back occasionally." I said as they smiled and ran.

This place is all they have and the kids look up to me..can I really do this? I thought

He lifted my head up to look at him as he smirked "You're not changing your mind, are you?" He asked as I looked at him knowing I'd always wanted to be with him. "No, I'm not." I assured him as he nod. "Good because the King wants to meet with you about the orphanage." He said which caught my attention.

I finished up and set the other half out for the kids to have when they wanted as we left and I heard Anna crying. We both went over and seen Nikolai and Anna were talking but Anna was upset over something. Putting the container in my bag I went over and calmed her down. "It'll be ok..remember you're coming with. What's upset you?" I asked but she was just quiet and hugged me.

I looked at the young prince wondering if he said something to upset her and even then I had no right to talk to him. Aleks on the other hand took him aside and talked with him where I couldn't hear them then once Anna was calm I had her come along. Daniel was at the front door ready as we got in and waited for Aleks who walked in. I saw the Prince get up by the man in charge of the horses and we both got in and the door closed as we headed for the little palace.

"Seems that there's been a misunderstanding between Anna and Nikolai.." He said as I nod in understanding. "Oh I see.." I said as the ride was quiet before we arrived. When we did we all got out as Aleks had Nikolai take Anna to her room which I found out was in his hallway and then we led Daniel to his own before he took me back to his room.

When we reached the black doors he looked at me then smiled as he opened the door and I walked in seeing the way things were. His room was dark but he led me around and shown he had two desks in there when he decided to work on his own work in his room and Grandma was arranging me to get work sent every two weeks so it worked out. He showed me the closet where I could hang my clothes that I had with me and I did then went out to the table he had and put the container down.

As I finished he turned me around as we kissed and I felt him take the ring on my hand off as I looked at him confused. "Aleks, that's my ring." I said as he looked at it knowing it was old and he walked away. "I know, and it's worth what I paid for it back then but you deserve better. I told you that originally when I gave you it that I'd get you something better." He said as he never directly asked me to marry him we just claimed to be each other's fiancé..

When he walked back over he held my hand with a box in his hand and I looked at him knowing I was just fine with the other ring. He kneeled down as he opened the box and I gasped seeing it was similar but so much more. "Amira Silina, will you marry me?" He asked as I was in shock

"Yes, Aleks.." I said as I was not expecting it but he was clear on his intentions as he slid the ring where the other one had stayed for four hundred years. They were similar but not the same this one seemed like it was stronger than the last one. Aleks showed me the other one I used to wear all the time "This one was cracking..it would have broke on you eventually probably cut you, the one you wear now is stronger. Made by the best fabrikators here." He said as I was just in shock.

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers - Years till reuniting again

Months had gone by and that's when I'd heard about the war being over, he'd won the war and yet he was now wanted by the King. My family and I created our first family fake death as we were going to do whatever was necessary to stay alive. We went somewhere and waited it out till things were better.

Months turned into years and Sierra was upset cause her fiance was killed..oh and did I mention she was pregnant? We did the best we could to calm her but it didn't help. Her stress levels were off the chart and she ended up losing the child as I heled her close. I didn't know what she was going through..well I partially knew. The rumors that the 'black heretic' as they were calling Aleksander now. Father was pissed in fact he tried to take everything that connected me to Aleks but I pushed him off keeping the jewelry.

"He is not..they're wrong..Father I can find him. I can prove he's not power hungry." I said as father look displeased.

When we resurfaced it had to be in sections first my grandparents, then my father, mother and Aunt and then me and my siblings. Anisa was dead and now I was Alysia so I had to stick with it going forward. We all had to do things and I was the rock for Sierra holding her strong after losing..everything. "You'll fall in love again." I said assuring her as Sierra was strong.

Keeping focused was everything but then Aunt Analise caught the eye of a noble so we were able to live with a noble within Ravka. It was so serious that they married so now we had connections to nobility which wasn't bad. Yet they wanted us to walk around in nice clothes instead of our own so we were given things to wear. I didn't mind but it got annoying when the servants tried to nit pick at me for my necklace and ring as I reminded them I never took them off.

All I could think about was Aleks so I just had to wait and hearing about another general with shadows I knew it was him. I could just feel it within my gut but then I heard that the king was wanting to build a 2nd army. I thought I was not hearing it right but I heard that kids were being tested to be Grisha.

What are you doing Aleks? I thought

After so long we were all being gathered for a party called a winter fete. My uncle by marriage insisted on bringing us along so I chose to give in and he dressed us up how he felt we needed to look. Sierra and my parents didn't mind as my grandparents were going to just stay in, my brother walked in with my dress as I sat at a vanity and looked at him in the mirror. "Time to get dressed up Amira" Aiden said

I dressed up with my brother's help as he looked in the mirror we both knew I'd see Aleks tonight. "Hey, you get to see him again. You should smile." He said as I looked at my brother knowing it wasn't easy. "I hope so..last time was good but.." I knew I wanted to have kids and get married but I was waiting for a man..for him. "What if he's not your soulmate? You saw the marks on your mom and dad..what if you're meant for someone else." Aiden asked

"I want him Aiden..only him." I said as he nod in understanding. I couldn't explain why but I'd wait forever for him as we went.

When we went I was just ready to get it over with as I wasn't one for parties but then I saw him. His eyes looked up meeting mine and I was just done up as if I was part of a noble family and he walked. I saw him motioning to people on where to go as he was leading and I felt so out of place.

When the music started people were trying to get partners and a few nobles approached me but I turned them down. I wasn't interested in such things as I looked at my sister who had accepted a dance from a noble and I smiled knowing she was doing well. When I felt someone grab my hand I looked about to say something when I saw it was Aleks and he led me out there without my permission. I looked at him knowing he just took some random girl to the people here out on the dance floor as we started to dance to the music among people.

"So, Alysia you seem very over dressed.." He whispered in my ear as we danced as it was easy for him to whisper to me considering he hovered over me even with two inch heels putting me at 5'5.. he was 6'1. "What can I say General? My aunt married into nobility." I said as he looked at me seeing I was serious knowing that it wasn't going to be easy to overlook this.

In fact as we danced I saw my uncle by marriage looking at us and knowing the truth that I was betrothed to a General. Aleks was that General but that didn't mean that I liked the way things were right now. We danced for awhile before he took me out of there using shadows to get us out easily and to a large room. I guessed his war room as I kicked off the heels deciding to just deal with barefoot. Heels were the worse to wear in this day and age as I walked over seeing the table and the fold.

"Current?" I asked as he nod and looked at the way things were on the table "I never wanted this to be the way it is..with the fold and grisha..I lost my temper. I used Merzost the forbidden science." He said as I looked over the map and seeing he was doing well. "And your healer?" I asked as I looked up and seen the pain in his eyes realizing maybe I shouldn't have asked. "I'm sorry.." I said as he shook his head and took my hand placing it on his cheek. "You never said it but you're right..you're the only one for me. You realized that when we were teenagers.."

I was speechless knowing it wasn't going to be easy but he seemed to know some things. "How could you t-" he cut me off as he kissed me and I kissed him back. He lifted me up and sat me on on the table where nothing was in the way as we kissed. "When we were together in that forest..it showed you had more strength than I did..you're stronger than me in some ways." He said as I knew we couldn't be like this if anything went wrong. "I love you and we'll get our chance..but Baghra will still try to intervene." I said as He nod but kept hold of me. "Once I know I can keep you always, I'm never letting you go..maybe it's not this time..maybe we have to meet like this a few more times but I promise we'll have a life together." He said

We spent time together while we could but he was right we couldn't be together yet as something caused us to go separate ways again.

This happened a few more times but soon we'll get that chance.

Best Friends to Eternal lovers -Reuniting before the folds creation

Years passed since then and I was growing weary of my situation becoming an adult as people didn't look at me the same. I changed with time as I knew this wasn't going to improve. We moved to a city of Grisha and people were talking about the palace. How there was a General there who was a Shadow Summoner but he was an adviser too.

General and Adviser..good for you Aleks..I miss you so much. I thought

Showing Baghra I was not weak was going to be a priority and showing I wasn't a distraction but I couldn't shake my thoughts. Did he have another girlfriend? I gave him permission to and he'd given me permission but I never made a move on it. I'd taken an abstain from relationships outside of Aleksander and I was going to hold strong on that.

We made it to a camp of Grisha who'd welcomed us in and I taught them combat practice..and sometimes I entertained but Sierra. Oh my beautiful sister, she found love so we were going to hold a ceremony within a few times. I sat beside myself as we were putting on a singing performance leading up to the wedding as we prepared. I took over the main lyrics but Sierra sang with me on other parts.

Aleksander's pov:

I was looking for Grisha to add to the fight when I came across a camp with Luda by my side. I noticed they gathered in an area and I watched before approaching. When I saw them move to let two girls dance around. I was about to leave when I heard singing and it was her voice...Amira's voice. I'd know it anywhere as I looked back seeing that she was the one dancing with her sister. I could tell she still wore the items I had given her as I watched the two then noticed Luda looking at me.

"Who is she?" Luda asked

"Who?" I asked not sure I wanted to tell her about Amira

"The one you're staring at. You know her." Luda pointed her out

I looked forward at Amira, my sunshine who clearly hadn't given another man a time of day. I felt like I was the bad one in the way things had been. "She's my fiancé..the one I told you about. My mother she kept us apart and I vowed to find her but I can't bring her into this fight. It's too dangerous Luda." I said as she nod. "Still, if I don't show myself to her she'll let me have it and she's probably good at that." I said

After they'd calmed down I walked into the town and looked over things as I knew what to do..but how would I tell Amira that Luda was my girlfriend? I caught in a situation I didn't know how to handle and yet I loved them both. One would live a mortal life and the other an eternal one with me...but I had to face her as I walked in the town. I waited for them to calm down before I spoke. "Anisa.." I said

Amira's pov:

"Anisa" A man's voice said, it was much deeper than I remembered but when I looked I recognized instantly. If we were alone I would have called him by his nickname I called him by but then I noticed he was not alone. I took in the reality before me as I realized that maybe I was the only one strong enough to hold out..but then realized the girl was a healer.

Don't jump to conclusions.. I thought knowing I'd given him permission to do what he wanted so I couldn't hold it against him.

"Well hey, it's been a long time." I said as he walked over to me and hugged me as if he'd never see me again. I was surprised but hugged him back knowing it wasn't going to be easy as I was shorter than him. Yet he got a good grip on me and spun me a bit as I laughed a bit "Put me down or we're going down together." I whispered to him as he knew I'd do it even if I didn't want to so he put me down.

He took my hand seeing his ring still there "You never took it off..and you still have the necklace on." He said as I nod. "Forever..no one else matters." I said as he looked at me seeing I was serious and I'd waited for him to come back to me. "Right..and we will." He said as I knew him too well to know right now his time with the healer was now and I was after. "Is it your mother again?" I asked as he looked at me and then he led me where we could talk alone and he turned to me. "Look, you're not the only girl she's given a hard time t-" "She slapped me Aleks. When I was alone with her." I said cutting him off as he looked at me seeing I was serious and that pissed him off.

"I'll talk with her but you're not the only one she's critical of. Doesn't matter how hard it takes for me to find you again you know I will." He assured me but I knew he couldn't do anything. I walked away knowing this just wasn't working for me right now but I was alone where I walked so imagine my surprise when he'd followed me and his lips met mine. I kissed him back as I'd missed him so much. Truth is I'd walked into the woods around the camp that he'd used it to his advantage.

I never imagined myself as that girl who would fuck her boyfriend in the woods but that's what ended up happening between us and we only removed the bottom half of our clothes as I realized how much I missed him. When it was over we both were breathing heavily as I looked at him. "The healer, she's your healer..and let me guess your current girlfriend?" I asked as he kissed me and I kissed him back. "She is, but that doesn't change that I'll come back to you." He said as we got ourselves decent and yet it felt right but a little wrong.

"Aleks, you can't do this..not to her. Healers have mortal lives..And Baghra is still not going to let me in your life right now." I said as he put a hand on my cheek and looked at me. The pain of us being separated was there, I'd felt it too as he put his forehead to mine. "I just needed to see you before going into this war..and once it's over I'll find a way to have the life we want together." Aleks said

I looked at him hearing he was going to war as I looked into his eyes "Adviser and General..impressive. But be careful..the King will try to kill you if he fears you." I said as I knew Aleksander was powerful. I could tell by how much time had passed and he looked into my eyes as he kissed me and I kissed him back. "I'll do my best. But if the king does turn against me, I won't die. Just do as I always do. Fake my death and change my name I've been doing that for years and by then you'll be another name..have you picked your next name?" He asked as I smiled "Alysia." I said as he laughed "Another A name. I promise one of these days you'll use your real name."

We spent time together while we could but then he had to go as I walked to Luda. "Sorry, we didn't really get a chance to talk. Try to make sure he's safe." I said as she nod. We shook hands before they left.

Best Friends to Eternal lovers - Meeting his father

After Baghra had taken him away I shut down for awhile losing the one thing I thought never was going to happen..that I'd love someone. I love him..and his mother took him away because she thought I was a distraction. Days turned to weeks and I hardly said much as all I had was the necklace he gave me that I never took off and then the ring to promise one day we'd get married.

Father noticed how distraught I was with losing him like this and he left us for a short time to return with a jacket. I looked at him knowing it wasn't easy but he put it on me and I held onto it seeing it was black.

Teen Amira

We traveled for awhile till we made it to a town in ravka as I looked around knowing it wasn't going to be like we could blend in..or so I thought. It wasn't that long before a man approached my grandfather. "John Silina, my oldest friend." A man said as he hugged my grandfather and they exchanged some words before the man looked at all of us and then looked at him. "This is your family?" He asked as Grandfather nod. "We've traveled a long way." Grandfather said

"Please come, I have plenty of room to give you all shelter." The man said as I didn't understand anything of what was going on at the time. I just wanted to sit somewhere and be in my sadness as we all followed him. When he led us into his house he let us all get used to it and I just sat down next to my sister. I was lost for the first time in my life to know I couldn't be with the one I love until he reached the goal his mother set out for him.

We were there for a few days before the man finally approached me as he sat across from me. "Amira, right?" He said as I looked at the man across from him knowing that there was nothing I knew about him just his kind gesture. "Yes, sir." I said as he went and got some drinks as he gave me one and I accepted it. "Thank you sir.." I said as he had a sip of his drink. "Sir is a bit formal from my son's lover. Don't you think Amira?" He said as I looked at him surprised. I was uncertain on what to say at the time since I hadn't linked it.

"You are.." and he nod having another sip "A heartrender who has searched for his son and never found him. But you did Amira..you are destined to find him again I believe." He said as I was quiet and we both had some of our drink. "Maybe...Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead." I said as I knew this was odd. "Humor a man who cannot find his son. What's he like?" He asked as I looked at him while I told him some things about Aleksander that at least I knew how we loved to hang out together.

He nod as he had some of the drink and it became a habit to learn things..he even taught me how to cook some things while we visited. I decided to focus on cleaning and learning on how to do this as I was planning to figure out things and I was going to get Aleks away from Baghra some way Some how.

Yet time was bad as this man who I'd caught writing letters and doing things preparing for what was what I considered the inevitable for most. I walked in and saw him coughing a little and then he washed his hands before he finished up some letters when he noticed he. He had an envelope filled with letters as he handed it to me. "Amira, do me a favor.." He said as I looked at him and took the file. "These letters are for my son, please when you find him make sure he gets them." He said as I nod in agreement. "I promise I will." I said to him

Then he pulled out a box he had in his pocket as he opened it showing a marble inside as I looked at it. "What is this?" I asked as he looked at it. "Seems just a ordinary marble..but it's so much more." He said

I looked at it oddly before I picked it up and seen it start to change color being half Sun Summoner Gold with Tidemaker Blue but there was something more. Another golden look in the middle. "You're destined for greatness..for change in the future. My son would probably have it too not as much as you but you're both on the same path I assume." He said as I looked at it. "So it can tell anything?" I asked as he nod as I put it back and he handed me the box. "Take it, this is yours now. Fight for my son Amira, Baghra will control his life until he fights back." He said as I took it. "I will, always." I promised

It was only weeks later we ended up burying him cause he passed away and I kept hold of everything. I had the best things I could give Aleks when I found him. Letters from his father, a grave location he could visit his father when I found him. But now I had to get stronger so that I could get my boyfriend back from his mother and have the life we wanted. I was determined to live my eternal life with him and I was going to make sure Baghra didn't get involved. I knew Aleks wanted to meet his father and now he never would.

Best Friends to Eternal Lovers - Found out-

As we ate I was surprised how well he'd made the meal and I was surprised as we were stuck there. We made the best out of it as we were stuck there for a few days so when we got bored with nothing to do we decided to do it again at least once everyday we were together. I didn't care what the adults could think and I don't think he did either as we were set in our minds.

Once the storm was gone we had to return to our families but we didn't want to as we sighed. "Well it was fun while it lasted." Aleksander said as I nod and we looked at each other. I kissed him before he could say anything else and looked at him. "Same as usual unless our families decide to move?" I asked as he smirked a little and kissed my cheek. "Yes, Amira.." He said as he got the things and took them to leave.

I went about getting my own supplies and heading back to the cave as my family knew exactly where I was just not what I was doing. Under my hair was hickey marks cause we'd forgotten to hold back from marking each other but when I left them on him I'd put it where his clothes would cover them.

As soon as I walked into the cave all my family hugged me. Despite knowing where I was they were still worried as the Storm was bad. I hugged each of them back but I already missed Aleksander and hoped Baghra wouldn't find out..Each of them one by one hugged me but when my grandmother was the last one she took a good look at me. Even to the point of moving my hair a little where only she could see the hickey marks before she looked at me putting my hair back. I knew I was found out but luckily it worked out.

For three more weeks everything worked out and then the last time we met up and went to the town to get supplies and everything it worked out..or at least I thought it did. Grandma had followed me and his mother had followed him as we held hands walking together for supplies buying it and then went to the hut. Once inside the hut we started to make out leaving our stuff by the door. Aleksander removed his shirt and removed my own as I wrapped my arms around his neck as he lifted me up. He walked to the bed and laid me down as he was on top of me and kissed my neck as he made a fresh hickey on me and I moaned.

His hands held onto me as I was enjoying what he was doing and he was pressed against me so i could tell he was enjoying this too. We were about to remove our lower clothing when the door came open and we jumped looking seeing the two ancients in the doorway. Baghra looked pissed and Grandma was trying to keep her calm. "Come now, we talked about this was a possibility someday." Grandma said as I looked at them.

She followed me.. I thought

"She's a distraction, she can't benefit him right now.." Baghra said as she was clearly against us being together but Aleksander held onto me keeping me close. "You can't tear us apart mother..you do and I'll.." He was doing the best to stand up to her but Baghra was intimidating. "You'll what? Run off? You can't allow weaknesses into your life..and unless you get stronger you can't protect her." Baghra said as I was so tired. "I am not a distraction! If it wasn't for me your son would have been stuck in that storm.." I said defending against her

"You two are sleeping together..your teenagers. You do realize there are risks." Grandma said as Aleksander and I looked at each other before looking at them. "Risks?" I asked as she nod. "You could get pregnant..if you're not careful." Grandma pointed out as I hadn't thought about that but I was clearly not going to give him up either. Baghra was annoyed but Grandma came up with a solution "Let's put them to the test..they will live here within the hut for a month and if they don't need help then decide." Grandma suggested to her as Baghra didn't seem to want to agree. "You watch them then..I'll be back in a month." Baghra told Grandma

"Mother.." Aleksander said but Baghra just looked at us and I felt him tense under her stare but I refused to let her intimidate me. She left without a word and grandma looked at me "Your father will be told about this so he knows where you are for the next month." Grandma said as she set a bag of coins for us to get by "I'll visit once a week to get you two by." she said as she left

Aleksander was still tense but I had him look at me "It's ok now..we're safe here." I said as he nod in agreement as he kissed me. I kissed him back as we laid back down and made out.

A kiss should normally be just that a kiss but for us it was a bit more as we went from a simple kiss to making out. He picked me up and had me sitting on the counter in the hut as we made out. I was all in for this and he clearly was too but neither of us had said anything. When we pulled away for air we were still looking at each other.

"That was.." before he could finish I cut him off as I nod "Yeah, it was.." I said as we smiled to each other before we started to kiss again. He nod as his lips met mine again knowing that any day, any moment after today his mother and my family would pull us apart again. His lips went down to my neck as he placed kisses on my neck and for the first time in my life a moan escaped from my lips. I blushed at the sound but the feeling was so strong. "Maybe we should move this to somewhere more..comfortable." I suggested

He said as I looked at him before doing so as he lifted me up and walked over to the bed where he laid me down and I loosened my hold on him as he climbed in the bed with me as I went and removed his shirt as I moved up and kissed his neck. His fingers made work of my shirt as we both looked at each other after my shirt fell off.

I was a little shy as no one had seen me like this before but he was different than anyone..I trusted him completely which was what was also scary in a way. "Still sure about this?" He asked as he always made sure that I was. I nod, "Yes, Yeah I am..you?" I asked making sure we were still in agreement as he leaned in close "Yes." He said as his lips once again met mine.

As we kissed we slowly made work of removing what was left on each other as we felt so strongly about this. Neither of us knew exactly what to do but it felt like we did as he made sure I was prepared for him before we really got started..after he did it wasn't much longer that we got started. He pulled away for me to catch my breath and so he could too as we looked at each other. I knew we were crossing that line that we could never really come back from as he lined himself up before slowly pushing in as I kissed his neck which muffled my sound.

Once he was fully sheathed it was just adjusting and letting me get used to having this full feeling. I pulled away as we looked at each other and he leaned close "Tell me when you're ready for me to move." He said against my mouth as I leaned in "You'll know." I assured as I kissed him and he kissed me back. When I felt ready I rolled my hips to test as I moaned into our kiss and he got the clue as he started his pace.

At first it felt a little weird but as we kept going it felt so good as I broke our kiss to kiss his neck again and moved down to his shoulder area where I knew he'd be able to hide it as I made a hickey on him in my clouded state of mind. I heard him moan as he waited till I removed my mouth from the spot before he attacked my own neck and made his own without thinking about if my family would see as we kept going.

Once he was done he went back up as he kept going but I needed more.. "More please.." I begged as he smirked and nod as he kept going. We kept going faster and harder as we moaned at the feeling. Felt so perfect but the feeling built for both of us reaching close to our edge as I wrapped my legs around his waist. "Amira..I'm gonna.." as I nod and looked at him "Me too.." I said with a moan as we soon came undone and then laid there.

Laying like that we both smiled as we realized that nothing was going to be the same again..we fell asleep like that as we both were tired that we slept for awhile until we woke up a little later and yawned. Looking down I noticed we hadn't actually separated as I removed myself and then felt the mix of our releases slide down my legs.

Aleksander looked seeing it too as the evidence was left but we were stuck here for awhile till the storm was over. "So..that happened.." He said as I nod.. "It felt..good." She said as he nod. But that's when we noticed the breakfast and that it had gone bad. "Oops, well that was a waste.." I said as he nod. "Go ahead and clean up and I'll prepare something." He said which caught my attention but before he went to get his clothes on but I stopped him and had him come with me as we both cleaned up then got our clothes on before he decided to cook for us.

"You can cook?" I asked as I walked over and he focused on what he was making "Well I have a good teacher. She's cute and she's my girlfriend who knows how to cook." He said as I was shocked but he went about making everything without asking me so I waited..
