Hiiiii yobi!!! I'm fine, just understimulated bxgxhdhdbs I hope you're doing well too!!

HMMM ur gonna make me choose huh. Not everyone has an Official design yet bc art is hard, but of the links that I designed specifically, let's see.

Legend, Warriors, Twilight, Hyrule, Wind (redesign), Wild, First, Odyssey (even tho he needs updating), Fae...

Mizu designed Time, Sky, and Cinder. She's done a ton of the OCs and a couple Zeldas tho.

Four and Champion still lack official designs.

Of my hero designs, I'd probably have to go with... Twilight for overall look and vibe, and Wind for his stupid clothes. Yeah probably a tie between those two, and Hyrule is a close second.

For Twi,,,, he's just a beefcake hxhxhsjs I like drawing all his scars and having him not be a pasty white boy

For Wind, I already mentioned his stupid clothes but I fought SO HARD to make him a bottle blonde and I'm very proud of that as well. Crunchy little salt lick hdgdhsj his design is everywhere and I love that

Hyrule is a scrappy little enby and they're just great all around. I think their design reflects their personality very well tbh

got a curious question about the heroes— what languages can they speak? or understand in case they can't speak it for whatever reason?

Most of them just speak Hylian and Hylian Sign (bc sign language is considered a different language bc it has different structure and grammar even tho we don't write it out like that) but here are the heroes that we know are at least a little multi lingual.

Legend could call himself a fucking polymath at this point. He knows Hylian and Hylian Sign fluently ofc, and can read/write Lorulean since it's the same as Hylian, just mirrored. He can read Mudoran but isn't sure about the pronunciation since it's a dead language in his time, and is at least conversational in Holodruman, Labrynnan, and Subrosian. He's very interested in learning Gerudo currently, so that might be another one added to the list eventually.

Cinder knows Lorulean fluently since he's from there (written Hylian was the real challenge for him but he got it).

Time knows some Gerudo and Gerudo Sign, probably just conversationally, but he's illiterate so he can't read or write anything.

Four knows Picori fluently bc of the jabber fruit.

Hyrule is fluent in Fey, though they shouldn't speak it around normal people if they want those individuals to stay sane.

Fae probably knows some Fey as well, just what she needed to for getting through her quest.

Twilight knows how to read Twili, and Midna has tried to teach him some, but he has trouble getting around his accent for pronunciation.

Wild knows Sheikah, both ancient and modern, and would like to know the Zora/Rito mother tongue but it's p much impossible for them to produce or even decipher what all those clicks and whistles mean. Sidon appreciates his little Hylian's desire to connect but it just won't happen and he thinks them trying (and failing horrifically) is very cute.

Odyssey is fluent in Gerudo! And he's probably trying very hard to learn Gerudo Sign, but not quite fluent in it yet. He can talk to his boyfriend in his native tongue and that's good enough for now. (And on that note, Legacy probably knows both Sheikah and Gerudo.)

Champion probably knows at least some sign for all the major races just in case. He takes his guard job very seriously, and being nonverbal needs some workarounds in case not everyone knows Hylian Sign. He doesn't wanna end up playing charades.

Wind probably has picked up some Rito birdcalls, both bc he's friends w Medli and Komali, and having an alternative to pirate code with Tetra can be useful. Nothing like. Truly substantial tho.

Sky has maybe like. Some Lanayru mining robot translations lying around in a book somewhere in case he needs it.

Wars knows bits and pieces of a certain language his mother used, doesn't think very much about it. He should maybe talk to Legend....

And that's about it! TLDR most of them know at least snippets of another language according to need.

SILVER HOW ARE U SO FUCKING FAST????? Color coding just bc this might get cluttered

Cinder and Fae both have the same taste in women so they are terrible wingmen for each other (not for lack of trying) It's just that since Cinder flounders talking to pretty women and Fae freezes, they're too paralyzed to be any help. WHEEZE.

Flora had a lisp as a young child

Wars had braces as a kid and don't ask me how that works but he'd rather die before u knew (and Mizu is now informing me that they are magic braces w tiny rupee shapes. Would that be sharp? It'd be cute)

Time told several of Lullaby's guards that babies came from plants as a seventeen year old and Malon had Talon give him the talk. He still doesn't look any of those particular guards in the eyes when he sees them and he takes every pain to avoid talking to them. He told them with confidence. With his whole chest.

Wild has had several several SEVERAL MANY MANY adventuring mishaps and only talks about some of them. Let's just say that... trying to shield surf off hebra peak and tumbling all the way down, and attempting to ride a dragon only to fall off and hit every single spike on the way down as they ragdoll due to elemental effects... Those don't make the cut, to just name a couple

Twi has had SEVERAL times where he has done a wolf mannerism as a human. But like where all of the chain can see so he gets teased relentlessly. There are stories Wind could force upon ppl that would make everyone uncomfortable xbgxgsnsn and they aaaaaaaalllll have to do w Midna. He knows too much and Twi wants to strangle him.

Wind practiced kissing tetra in the mirror, his pillow, and on the back of his hand before he ever tried to peck her cheek. Linebeck has caught him more than once.

Pre-quest, Odyssey had to walk into town half naked and covered in mud once, bc it'd been raining and while being surprised by a monster in his underwear, which was bad enough, he slipped and fell down a hill. Then he had to explain why he was not dressed, toting all of his gear in his hands, and back early from exploring TO HIS PARENTS. When one of his siblings asked why he didn't just jump in the river that runs right by his family's inn to clean off the mud..... He could have killed them. It was probably his older sister, who'd tease him about it mercilessly and have him consider murder.

Blue is mortified by how soft he is for red sometimes. If he is feeling touchy, just mentioning him holding red's hand will make him combust. (If four is dissociating there's a 50/50 chance it's bc Red and Blue are being mushy and insufferable. It's not that four's bored by your explanation, Cinder. It's just. Yanno. XDDDD)

Sky tries v hard not to bring attention to how much a little s h i t he used to be and still can be. The population of Skyloft in its entirety seems determined to never let him live it down. Yes I am referring to P e a t r i c e. He also flunked a couple of years until Zelda forced him to catch up. If it hadn't been for her he probably would have been held back longer than fledge

Champion thinks sharp teeth are sexy and he's terrified of anyone finding that out. Especially mipha.

Hmmmm let's see. Mizu is busy today so I think I'll just throw some things out there.

Been thinking a little about Champion lately. I think he's got short hair. Like way shorter than it is in botw. I haven't doodled it yet but I need to.

Twilight has like a million animals he feeds. All the cats. Modern au Twi would probably volunteer with an animal shelter or adoption program. He might foster pets! Help with spay/neuter catch and release programs! Yknow that kind of thing

I think transfemme Dusk would be Very Cool. We didn't have that in mind when setting up asau and the royal line kinda needs to continue, and there's a whole bunch of stuff with zeldy powers being only in afab ppl bc that's how we set it up to work. But like dusk has the energy yknow, on top of being a distinguished sword lesbian. Also transfemme Fable! Her and Legend would legit be opposites bdgdbsbbxbx

Flora is chubby. Mizu sent me an artwork earlier this month of botw/aoc Zelda, Urbosa, and Link and I just fell IN LOVE, we immediately made it canon. She was just so fucking cute. (Twitter link)

We were talking about like. The kind of stuff that happens when you're on T. And I was talking about how when you change doses your face swells for a little while, and it can do that when you first start. So even tho Legend's ring would regulate his T, it could still happen at first. So our (paraphrased) conversation was like:

Mizu: I think it does, and Legend is upset/self conscious about it, but then Wars is like "wow... Was your jawline always this strong?" and Legend is immediately hit with euphoria

Kio: YEAH he'd be like "I don't even care if he's lying to me?? I do not care, this feels too nice"

And then that convo went onto Legend whining about having acne again, etc etc lol

We recently talked about maybe writing something about Legend's mom and dad!!! Like how their relationship went up to having legend. So maybe this will happen. I fucking. I love his and fable's mom Amethyst, we've written her and Alfon in Faction and. AAAAAA she's just great. Legend takes after her sm. He definitely gets his temper from her. What's funny is that ppl look at Alfon and how stoic and mild he is and think that he's the voice of reason, but no. On the inside there is chaos, especially when amethyst is involved. Her flirting with him made his brain catch on fire, but outwardly? Nothing.

Just fucking. ASK ME about how many AUs we have. I fucking dare u. We've got spinoffs of spinoffs. So many ideas. All the time. I convinced Mizu to make a furry au with me. It's like stardew valley minus the farming and it is so fucking delightful. Wars is a cat. He's big and fluffy and blonde and has white mittens on his fucking paws and it brings me SO MUCH joy. Did you know that rabbits don't have paw pads? It's just fur.

we've got a post here!!! Wild and Champion have been demoted in height since the Four revision tho, Wild is 5'7 and Champ is 5'2. we should update the hero list in the pinned post to include that stuff tho and keep it updated fr vndkvndsl

For your au heroes, How do they display affection?

Twilight: Twi is a hugger and you cannot escape. He's very physically affectionate and he loves spending time w people, hanging out and doing fun things together, usually something physical.

Warriors: Warriors isn't always a touchy person, he's got issues with people grabbing him unexpectedly. But he's also the type to offer a hug or extend a hand for a comforting squeeze when he can tell someone needs it. He's also keen on finding and acquiring things his loved ones like, for example, if he finds out a person likes a rare food that they don't often get in their Hyrule, he'll search it out, learn how to make it, and quietly offer just to see that person go "!!!!!!!". It makes him happy.

Sky: Cuddle Monster Extraordinaire. He's THE Best at fluffy warm hugs, though Twilight has some objections to that, and isn't afraid to offer or receive them. He's also keen on music as a love language. Sad or need comfort? Lullabies. He will jam out with a person for something celebratory, and he will also just sit and chill and play the lyre while the other person(s) do their own thing, infodump at him, or sing along. He's a warm walking radio basically.

Cinder: Cinder is more observant than he gives himself credit for, and especially with Fae, tends to be very aware of what the person he's trying to be affectionate toward needs from him. Whether it be small acts of service, a kind word, a hug or a hot cup of tea and a listening ear, he's generally someone you can count on to know what you need, (and then still be worried he got it wrong.)

Time: Time was much bigger on touch as a kid, but now that he's grown up some (read: is trying to be a cool grown up adult with Witcher vibes who has a reputation to maintain), he's more along the lines of doing and showing via service or gifts than touch. He's touch starved. This young man needs a hug stat, but he adamantly refuses to ask for one. .... maybe Malon can get him to budge a little....?

Legend: he's very big on touch with his partners and even though he needs the same in return, he has a hard time asking for it (at least verbally. He'd much rather lead by example). He also likes running his mouth a lot and thinks it's adorable when people infodump at him, he will listen avidly and remember what they tell him. With friends, he's a doer and actions speak much louder than words. It's "what do you need" and then he will make it happen, no questions asked.

Wild: PDA ALL DAY EVERY DAY on top of doing ridiculously out of his way side quests for people he cares about. Sidon is craving mighty porgy? Say no more, Wild has already Wind bombed himself all the way to Lurelin. He'll come back mildly singed or with his hair on end from being zapped by an electric Lizalfos, and he will be fretted over while he cooks for his bae. He's just.... like that.

Odyssey: Odd loves spending time with people and he will make anything an adventure. He's a very active person and he always will be, and in his opinion, every second spent with someone is important. He loves traveling for this reason too-- he gets to catch up with so many people! He also gets homesick really badly.

Champion: Champion is not good with people or emotion most of the time, even less at showing people his emotions regarding them, but he cares very deeply about everyone he's even remotely close to and tries his best, even if they don't notice, to find things that make them happy. His Zelda has often found small sprouts of silent princess growing in the places she and Champion frequent.

Fae: info dumping and listening to someone rattle off about the things they love. Some members of the chain are starting to think this was born of her trying to get Cinder to talk about the things he liked without feeling the need to apologize for taking up time and space.

Hyrule: Hyrule likes hugs. Hugs, and quiet time spent together. So if Hyrule sits beside you and offers a mug of something warm, or pulls up just to chat, you know what is on their mind. They understand not everyone gets the same kind of comfort from the quiet that they do, but it's still their favorite way to show someone affection and kindness.

Four: Four is a love language linguist of a caliber most could only dream of, but whether you get reciprocation most of the time depends on who's fronting. Blue and Vio are much less likely to be physically affectionate, and Green and Red are the exact opposite. That said, four and Hyrule are extremely perceptive to others needs, and are quick to remedy things in whatever way they can, comfortably, most of the time.

Wind: If you're not Tetra, Gramma, Aryll, or Medli, don't expect a hug. But Wind will absolutely run himself ragged for people he cares about without batting an eye. If you ARE one of those people.... then you know he gives fantastic hugs.

Flicker: flicker loves to give hugs, or do anything he can think of to get a smile if it's someone who's not fond of touching, like Champion is at first. So that entails gift giving, showing off that weird rock he found, inviting people to do things, and small acts of kindness. Flicker is a bby angel in more ways than one.

which hero has a big bomb like sneeze and which ones have a small kitten like sneeze?

Loudest to quietest:

Wind has THE LOUDEST sneeze of everyone. He SCREAMS and it sounds like he's being murdered. The loudest HYAH in existence.

Twi has a p loud sneeze, but it's like... A puppy sneeze. Loud in volume but cute. It's a full-body affair. There are head shakes and body wiggles involved.

Sky varies in volume and intensity, wildly oscillating between smol and cute, and LOUD and VIOLENT. it's a toss up and the chain lives in fear.

Time is loud and it sounds like the velociraptor call from jurassic park. For this reason he stifles his sneezes a lot bc it will get him made fun of. His ears pop so much.

Wild is loud and he does not care, he will frighten birds out of the treetops if he's not caring to be stealthy.

Odyssey is moderately loud and embarrassed about it. He's afraid he's disturbing people.

Wars is... pretty normal, considering. Masculine sounding, but a normal volume. Good for him.

Four is liddol (recently demoted their fused height to 4'9 ehehe >:3 ) and it varies by color, but they're generally kinda loud for their size

Champ would have a normal-ish sneeze, but he stifles. Poor baby's ears pop along with Time.

Fae is normal. Not particularly ladylike, but it's louder than her speaking voice, so it's a little jarring bc she's normally pretty quiet.

Hyrule doesn't like to draw attention to themself forreal, so they try to make it as normal sounding as possible, if not quiet.

Flicker is babey, so he has a cute little sneeze

Legend has a little kitten sneeze bc I saw a post about it once and I fully implemented that for my Legend, I have not been able to stop thinking about it

Cinder, my boy, he has the littlest, babiest kitten sneeze of all time. He squeaks. It is adorable and he is embarrassed about it. I love him, I hold him gently.

What kind of sense of humour do each of the heroes have?

Twilight: Twi takes obscene pleasure in doing dad jokes, and then doing them w r o n g, just to watch the people around him collectively cringe. "Was that a fleek?? Am I on yeet???" Warriors has threatened to kill him on behalf of the younger members of the chain repeatedly. And that's not even touching on how easily he launches himself into dirty, raunchy ranch hand jokes. The only one who can match him on that front is, ironically, Warriors.

Warriors: Just because he hated barracks life doesn't mean he didn't walk away with a penchant for disgusting barracks humor. Being surrounded by the people he was surrounded by, Warriors' humor, when he's not watching himself around the kiddos, is straight up filthy, and he is not afraid of using that humor to get his way, unless the person he's talking to happens to be a certain pink rabbit. He knows when he's bested and how to pick his fights carefully, and he knows Legend will roast him every single time.

Sky: Soft spoken and baby faced does not equal innocent, and he will absolutely launch into detail about how he spends his nights with Sun just to watch the horror bloom across the faces of the romantically challenged (like Time). He also takes a great deal of pleasure in the shock value of the others catching him swearing. The others always look like they've been traumatized and he LIVES for it, so as a result, he chooses when he swears very carefully for maximum shock value.

Cinder: his sister and his (future) significant other are working on training him out of it, but he has a sense of humor that is largely formed around taking digs at himself, though when someone in the chain says something funny, he's definitely still going to laugh along. He will also dad-joke at the younger heroes just to distract them when things are stressful. He's got everyone's best interests in mind except his own.

Time: Time's not quite ready to jump into the raunchy humor just because he knows the others would snatch his wig so hard it'd end up in the Death Mountain Caldera, and he's not willing to make a spectacle of himself that way. But he is sarcastic and quick witted if he can keep from getting flustered. He and Wind are constantly volleying back and forth at each other.

Legend: Dirty! DIRTY! D I R T Y!!!! Filthy raunchy humor, only really reels back around Four bc Four is aroace, (though the colors have a bit more nuance than just that), and he will make it everyone else's problem. Especially Warriors. Warriors tries not to get Legend started unless they're alone because the Master White Boii will be redder than Sky's loftwing within a few seconds of Legend opening his mouth. It isn't hard for the pink rabbit to turn him scarlet. Aside from that, he'll get into it with anyone if it involves snark. He can volley banter back and forth like no one's business and prefers (read: HAS TO HAVE) the last word.

Wild: "Sealiously!! Lets SEAL the deal!!" If this guy makes one more sand seal pun on the way through the Gerudo canyon, Champion is gonna remove him from the chronological record and his Hyrule's census. But not before Wild makes some very inappropriate jokes about Zora reproduction and a certain Zora princess with a crush on Champion. He'll go out as he lived: an agent of chaos.

Odyssey: Odyssey is a gremlin through and through and feeds off of everyone else. Especially when it comes to dry, dirty humor. Warriors pretends he just can't hear him most of the time because "holy shit, do you kiss your mother with that mouth!?"

Champion: Champ is well aware people think of him as stoic and silent and unapproachable. He uses this to his advantage. He'll wait till no one who can rat him out is around, and then will, if the intended target is Revali, recite a perfect Rito mating call (that he picked up from watching Wild terrorize the rito champ) for the ruffled feathers. •Go ahead. Tell someone. They'll never believe you, bitch.•

Fae: Fae likes Banter. Which is good for Cinder because she keeps him sharp, and it helps his confidence to be one of the few people who can match her wit. She and Hyrule are the two that aren't total boys (derogatory) with their humor (ie gross, raunchy, D U M B, etc)

Hyrule: Rule is literally a walking meme. Would tag team with Wild for the most god awful sight call when they're traveling out of each other's line of sight. "HEWWOOOO??" Shouts Hyrule, "MISTUW BOSPHOWAMUS HYWULE?????" is the return call. Time considers fratricide.

Four: Four's basically a DID system, so his sense of humor varies depending on who's fronting. Red's got a sense of humor that's deceptively double sided- if he thinks you're dumb you won't know he called you a moron till the joke registers three days later, but he's also a fan of fairly harmless humor. He thinks small pranks are funny (like putting ink around the rim of Wind's Spyglass) and the other three are right along with him, if more direct and more likely to be a little sharper in the jokes they toss.

Wind: dryyyyyyy dryyyyyy dryyyyyyy. You'd think someone who spent so much time on the water wouldn't be quite so dry bones with his humor, but he's sharp, sarcastic, and more than a little petty. He likes to have the last word when it comes to roasting sessions and if he doesn't he's not gonna shut up until he does.

Flicker: he's a nine year old boy, so his humor is very, very juvenile, but he's also a little kokiri gremlin who knows how to pull a prank. He's got a silly, outgoing sense of humor, but if you're someone he doesn't like, his humor will 100% be dry and at your expense.

Legend: a holodrum dish he's since lost the recipe for and long forgotten the name of. It's spicy.

Wars: the most recent thing his polycule has made regardless of whether it tried to murder his stomach and bowels.

Time: milk meat stew. Yes this is a Fullmetal Alchemist reference.

Twi: anything hearty with lots of pasta in it. Boii needs his carbs.

Wind: grandma's soop, there is nothing better and he will throw hands over this, it WILL be the hill he dies on if necessary.

Hyrule: anything that tastes good and that they happen to have recently eaten.

Sky: pumpkin quiche

Wild: ratatouille. No I will not elaborate.

Fae: chicken with apple stuffing and cranberry sauce. She's very aware that it screams autumn, she's a plant witch, bite her.

Cinder: despite being an excellent cook himself, he's not confident in that skill, so it's usually something Fae or Hilda makes for him.

Champion: anything that isn't barrack food

Flicker: sweets. He and Red are not to be left alone together while hungry.

Odyssey: will tell you his favorite is the shepherds pie his sister makes out of duty and fear for his life as a sibling of a chaotic older sister, but it's actually the Gerudo curry his Gan makes.

Four: (he gets his own spot bc we gotta break it down by color and all together.)

Red: cherry pie. Red does not care that it's a dessert and not a meal, it's his favorite, bite him.

Green: literal garbage disposal, no faves, only good food.

Blue: likes a good quality, expensive steak done medium rare. He's particular about it.

Vio: think the Hylian equivalent of Pho

Four himself: also a literal garbage disposal but like. In the way of mixing foods that shouldn't go together. The chain is concerned about him.

Is there anyone in this group that Champion is close to?

Well, one of those people we can't mention yet in this context as that's kind of spoilery, but he does appreciate Hope quite a bit! Generally, champion gravitates toward mellow people with, comparatively, not a gargantuan amount of trauma, so folks like Fae, Hope, and Hyrule, as well as Flicker, because... Come on. Flicker is a baby and he's adorable! He also likes Cinder because for the most part, Cinder is pretty quiet and kind of a fraidy cat about certain things, so hanging around him immediately makes everyone else the tough guy by default.

He also looks up to Warriors quite a bit, because in his mind, Warriors is what he should aspire to, and later this mindset also pulls in Sky, even though knighthood for sky is a completely different thing in practice. He and Warriors both wish he wouldn't put them on a pedestal so much, they're well aware you really shouldn't ever meet your heroes, but at the same time, they're also just glad s o m e o n e around here can reliably follow orders.
