Marin washed up in Calatia, post Link's Awakening. The owners of a tavern in town gave her work and a place to stay, and Marin quickly learned that drunk people were sometimes assholes. She had to grow a thick skin, but eventually got used to the nature of her job (as well as learning that she could bat her eyelashes at some people and swindle them out of money/gifts/favors). She doesn't know much about where Legend is, or if he's even around in the time period she ended up in, but she's hoping to save up enough money in order to travel to Hyrule and find out...

Finally a ref for Marin!! I love her sososososo much, so I wanted to finalize an outfit for her before committing to a ref, bc she deserves something good!! I think I'm happy with this. The design on her corset is supposed to be reminiscent of waves.

Details not pictured: Her skirt falls to mid calf, and fades from the powdery blue at the top to the lighter blue that's the main color of her corset. For footwear, she has ankle boots that lace up and cream colored socks.

About the AO3 "No Guest Comments for a while" warning

If you're not following any of AO3's social media accounts you might be in the dark as to what kind of "spam comments" have engendered this banner at the top of the site:

These spam comments have been posted about a great deal on the AO3 subreddit for the past couple of days. Initially they comprised a bunch of guest (logged out users) bot comments that insulted authors by suggesting they were using AI and not writing their own fics. Some examples, from the subreddit:

But it then escalated to outright graphic porn images and gifs being posted in comments, again by logged out 'Guest' accounts. Obviously, I'm not going to give examples of those, but between these two bot infestations, AO3 has clearly decided to act and has temporarily closed the ability to post comments for users who are not logged in with an AO3 account.

Unfortunately, this means that genuine readers who don't have an AO3 account won't be able to leave comments on fics that they enjoy.

If you are a genuine reader who doesn't yet have an AO3 account, I strongly suggest getting yourself on the waiting list for one. More and more AO3 authors are now locking their fics down to registered users only - either due to these bot comments or concerns about AI scraping their work - which means you're probably missing out on a lot of great stuff.

Hopefully guest commenting will be enabled again at some point soon, but I suggest not waiting until then. Get yourself on that list.

I luv your art it’s so cool and awsome and I just wanna eat it lol, but I do have a question. I know your wars is genderfluid. And I saw in the “it’s you it’s still you despite everything it’s still you” post that in the last picture they looked more like a girl with longer hair and stuff. So can I ask, did wars transition in the future to look more like a girl or did they just get long hair (I assume they’re still genderfluid in the future) no hate at all I was just wondering! :)

Yeah they're still genderfluid in the future, and they're on E! I know not everyone reads the fics (you should!) but there are hints that Wars has body dysphoria, leading up to Legend putting the pieces together and saying it outright. Currently in-fic, Wars hasn't decided what they want to do about it, but the endgame is in fact physically transitioning. They'll come to this conclusion when they're ready.

Post-E, Wars binds and ties his hair back on masc days. On neutral days, they braid part of their hair and wear autumn tones to signify how they're feeling, but could go either way with binding. On fem days, she likes wearing dresses and having her hair down, but that's not a requirement.

This art didn't get as much love as the others in my new year's set, but I still like it, and it's post-E she/they Warriors. You should look at it! I think it's cute 🥰

As a whole, Wars is more comfortable passing as a woman, even if they feel differently at that specific moment, because it's just easier for them in Legend's era, since that's where they live after the ASAU quest. It might be interesting to see how that plays with Wars' military service, because they're gonna work with Fable on military reform for at least a little while...
