Note
I’m going to be running a game of ARPS at my local tabletop club, so I’ve been meticulously going through both the rules & the scenes where it’s played in the fic.
Do you have any advice for running the system?
Oh cool! I hope ya'll have fun :D Link for those curious
Lean into the fiction and be a fan of the player's characters.
Your job is to present obstacles for the players to overcome
Keep in mind that this is an asymmetric game, aka, things only happen when the players try to do things. The bad guys don't get a turn. You set the stage, but the players engage the scene.
If things ever stall, summarize the scene and then ask the table 'What do you do?' EX: After a critically failed attempt to charm the lovedove, our bard newt is now stuck to the nest. What do you do?
If the game still stalls then you might add a complication for them to get the action moving.
I think those are the main things. Hope you all have fun!

55 years ago... Rolex at max speed ! October 3, 1967 test pilot William "Pete" Knight wore his personal Rolex GMT-master Pepsi 1675 during X-15 flight 188 taking the hypersonic rocket aircraft to a speed of 7232 Km/hr (Mach 6.7). On October 17 he would take an X-15 to an altitude over 85 kilometers, high enough for USAF astronaut wings. Several photos show William Pete Knight wearing his Rolex GMT-master pilot watch between October 1966 and December 1988. Since 1963, the Rolex GMT-master pilot watch remains the sole timepiece strictly chosen on a personal preference basis by both Russian cosmonauts and International & American astronauts ! absolutely in shambles with how I forgot what an absolutely amazing company I am to myself. It's preposterous that I have forgotten the joy of being by myself, doing things I like. this curse of forgetfulness ends today. I vow to find that love and comfort within myself, for myself again.

Reposted from @tortugadesignstudio Here’s a first look at my next art print ‘Beyond the Gate’. I’ll be dropping these initially at @atl_rockpostershow next week then open them up for sale on the webstore after. This one was a little exploration on the concept of starting or trying something new. Not knowing what lies ahead, the challenges you might face, and the overall mystery behind the journey. With some fantasy fun thrown in. 🧙🏼‍♂️ -11x14 -4 color hand pulled in the studio - @frenchpaperco Sour Apple 100lb -Edition of 40 -Signed and Numbered I’ll have 1 more smaller print to show next week before the show too so stay tuned🤙🏽🐢 . . . . #tortugadesignstudio #arps #atlantarockpostershow #trps #artprint #artprints #artprintsforsale #screenprintedposter #flatstock #screenprinted #collageart #collageartwork #collageartist #collageartists #collageartistoninstagram #wizardart #wizardartwork #fantasyart #fantasyartist #fantasyartwork #posterdrop #gigposter #gigposters #gigposterscreenprint #wizard https://www.instagram.com/p/Coc3uSzJPJO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Ram’s ‘death’ made me cry. Amazing chapter
Running ARPS also went really well! Everyone enjoyed it, only 2 of the players had watched Amphibia before. I also had a lot of fun running it :)
It took a while for people to get & embrace the load mechanic, but that was really the only hiccup we experienced
Thank you it was emotionally harrowing to write.
and I'm glad that you're enjoying ARPS! Yeah, load is a strange mechanic at first, but I love the flexibility it gives to players compared to needing to prepare everything ahead of time.

X-15 pilots received USAF “ Astronaut wings “ … August 5, 1965 X-15 testpilots LtColonel Robert Rushworth and Captain Joe Engle received their USAF astronaut wings as military pilots qualified as astronauts if they flew above 50 miles (80 Kilometers). Robert Rushworth flew a record 34 X-15 flights (June 1963 flight 87 above 50 miles) and Joe Engle flew 16 X-15 flights (June 1965 flight 138 above 50 miles). August 26, Joe Engle will turn 90 years, the last X-15 pilot alive! Note both testpilots wore an Accutron Astronaut GMT pilot watch. The microsonic Accutron tuning fork wristwatch, brainchild of Max Hetzel, was introduced by Bulova  in October 1960. (Photo: NASA/USAF)
