I so enjoyed playing this demo last night and have been having many Thoughts about it.

#it was so tough finding pics i thought would fit what i have in my head but this will do for now #i was up thinking abt this IF for soooo long it’s unreal #what is eternity?#unending time but also timelessness #like what does it mean to be the container for something that has no beginning or end?#the container is rendered useless obvi #but here the MC stands so there MUST be something to that right?#maybe it just means they must act as a witness to it all.#they are resigned to an existence of knowing and seeing things others do not and being unable to impact those things in any meaningful way #like an echo #like a black hole that is packed so densely with matter but appears to be little more than a void. god i love kim kitsuragi so much

i knew that he's a good character before even starting to play, but i didn't know anything specific about him

he initially was presented as cold and unemotional detective who's focused on getting the job done. but god. when we went to check the footprints on the scene, early in the game, and he guessed that unevenly worn out pair of boots could belong to the drummer, i've just LOST IT. i literally SCREECHED IN EXCITEMENT, i was like a damn Sauron screaming I SEE YOU. i guessed what you are from this exact second, dearest partner, and i guessed a 100% correct.

one of the main things that i like about kim is that he's actually not that far from harry in being a weirdo. he just has a completely different expression, and also he's way better in keeping a face. the latter is kinda sorta a defensive mechanism, i think, at least to some degree. love this in him

the parallel in s1 of lee finding a disco broccoli toy in clem's house, and it being something she was interested in pre-apocalypse, and then aj having a db plushie in s4 arahhhhhhhh.

and in s4 clem distracting aj from being hungry, with his db toy, in parallel to the s2 db plush clem finds and throws away whilst looking for food, because it's 'not edible'

i'm approaching that part in pla again but now i'm back in platinum again to like compare and contrast the dialga/palkia fight lol. finally actually doing postgame spear pillar for once. love how it was like 'on the other side of the rift...' and you just see like a blue void there. ooh yeah baby that's so pla flavored. i hope this part isn't difficult

ive seen quite a lot of hate and posts against jean vicquemare hate

personally i like him? hes super toxic and hes also super depressed. for me he is like what harry would be if he hadnt lost his memory (only a bit better because he aint putting his gun in his mouth every 20 seconds). im glad the phasmid helped him be less depressed albeit for a while. loved the hug in the end. i guess people can change with a miracle.

Sometimes, I think about that one disco elysium post about how the person just looked at Harry for so long that he became "normal" looking to them and what he huge reality check it was when they realised that people feel geniunely shocked when Harry is first shown in the mirror. And... that's just me with Trixie Mattel. I look at her drag and my brain goes "this is an average/usual amount of make up to wear"
