me, gearing up to explain why the dragon prince's latest seasons have continued to disappoint me, that while i love the lore and worldbuilding and characters there are clear pacing issues that are so jarring it takes me out of the experience, and that i say all of this with great love for the series but there's only so much good concepts can do before animation has to catch up in order to retain the average viewer's attention. that although season 4 and 5 have been branded as "the mystery of aaravos" the titular character barely appears and that is a crime to me, that even if it's for the suspense and intentionally leaving the viewer/main characters in the dark it's not doing a good job at building up his character and i fear for the exposition dump that will inevitably happen later on. that i will be harsh in critiquing this series because i love it so much and want it to be the best it can be: *inhales*

"this way!" you call to Dan Heng, dragging him along as you led him from exhibit to exhibit. After spending hours working together on a grueling school project, you had offered to take him to the new museum that had just opened downtown. Dan Heng had taken you up on that offer, and now your boyfriend was following you around like a lost puppy.

"Dont go too fast, you might trip..." his voice was soft in mild concern, yet his eyes sparkled in amusement. He loved seeing you so genuinely happy, and he would follow you through 100 museums if it meant he got to see you smile. You only giggle in response, squeezing his hand as you walk towards the nearest gallery you saw.

"Perhaps if the weather holds out, we can head back to my place and finish some more research?" Dan Heng was ever so studious, and you could tell it would take some time for him to relax from the idea of constantly working.

"Chill out, enjoy yourself!" Your bubbly attitude makes his usually stern expression melt into a genuine smile, and your heart flutters at the sight. Aeons, he was gorgeous. Suddenly, another exhibit caught your attention and you turned swiftly.

"Dan Heng honey, look at this!" You walked towards what had piqued your interest, pointed excitedly at the exhibit in front of you. You pulled out your phone to snap a photo, freeing your hand from Dan Hengs while doing so. Your boyfriend came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and grinning sweetly as you flipped your phone camera to take a selfie of the two of you. His eyes followed yours in pure adoration, and your dark-haired lover smiled dorkishly into the camera. You took the picture, staring at your happy faces reflecting on the screen.

"This way!" you turn suddenly, looking at the next item that caught your interest. Dan Heng followed your steps, and reached out to take your hand once again. Your fingers laced together perfectly, his hands practically engulfing yours as he watched you admire the art in fromt of you.

"Your more beautiful than anything in here", he whispered softly. He said it so quietly you almost didn't hear him, and your cheeks warmed at the compliment. You turned and pressed a kiss to his cheek, giddy from getting to spend a wonderful day with your boyfriend.
