Paul Simon in his New York City office (The Brill Building), 1990. Paul worked in the building briefly in the late 50s, songwriting and cutting demos for recording artists, and Paul & Art’s (who were under 18 so couldn’t sign) parents met with a record producer there in 1957 to sign a contract for “Hey, Schoolgirl” to be released as a single.
