Emory Cook (1913–2002) was an audio engineer & creator of the world's first commercially produced stereo 12" LP records – the Cook Binaural System - in 1952, using 2 tone arms simultaneously on 2 grooves: 1 for the right & 1 for the left channel.
Tho Cook knew of EMI's 1933 breakthru in single-groove stereo recording, he felt it lacked fidelity, leading to his 2-groove approach. His Cooks Labs produced "Cook Binaural" records from 1952-1958.
Cook donated his entire recorded output to @smithsonian which is now part of the Ralph Rinzler Folklife Archives.

nang hseng lurn kham, first track from nam khe mao het sak se. this might possess the dreamiest intro i have ever heard, it melts time into nectarous ecstasy, a twilit tableau of agarwood dangling smoke over buttery petals.

the second track from a tape by nan sin laban. such a massive recording, the sound field vibrating, expanding to full golden saturation, perfect languorous heat. i was unable to transcribe the track title, as the ink on the card had run, rendering it illegible.
