I imagine putting your lightsaber together for the first time is hard enough without an audience of Excited Older Brothers in the background, but Avi is doing her best

His name was Kairn, and he spent most of the war as a lieutenant, and then the last few months as the captain after a really really rough campaign :') (he has since been demoted to sergeant to make room for nat-born officers and even tho he remembers his name, he no longer uses it for... personal reasons :”D)

He served under Jedi Master T'aayli and her padawan Avi :3 Their battalion did a lot of time on a smaller planet i haven’t named yet, and also rhyloth. Poor guy used to be... I wouldn’t say cheerful, but definitely not full of dread and grief like he is later on.

Who is 8565’s favorite in his squad?

borrin reminds him of some of the shinies he used to command, who got sent to the front too early :') so he's got a soft spot for the kiddo

You would think it's a no brainer!!!! but honestly I haven't decided because each option is so tasty?? It really depends on my mood which one I lean towards lmaooo

Bc like, for example, if Avi lives, she's gotta grow up knowing her brothers turned on her and her master. She won't know why, bc nobody except like... four people know about the chips lol. but that fear and anger-- I'd imagine it turning her towards the dark side. Picture older!Avi (an inquisitor??) running into 8565 again >:) The drama of realizing you didn't murder your kid sister but now she's something worse. But T'aayli.... man, there is so much she could get up to. A rebel fighter, maybe some kind of robin hood-esque pirate on the outer rim (Rescued by pirates??? PERHAPS), or maybe someone who has to race ahead of inquisitors and rescue force sensitive children. I think that would be neat. Either way she's got a sick eyepatch, and fights storm troopers regularly so u kno :") And of course, if they're both dead that's got it's own level of horror >:)

Any which way it goes, 8565 doesn't know they're alive (if they're alive) and the memory of him firing at them both plays on repeat in his mind all the time <3
