Unfortunately, I think the most likely answer here is that the few people who did change their skin did so to be actors in Grian’s explanation video for this season’s rules. As much as I’d like to believe that 3LS3 starts today, the odds of that happening are very low.
On the other hand, if Grian needs this many people to explain the rules, what kind of new rules does he have in store this season?

...honestly a shame that English doesn't have the word "kohtalotoveri" because with Double Life I think that works so much better than soulmate. The clunky literal translation of it is "fate companion" (or fate comrade, but that doesn't carry quite the same feeling) and I have so many thoughts over that but can't properly articulate them rn. I said this in the tags of a post I reblogged but honestly it deserves its own post.
So with Bdubs wearing his red skin while Scott wears a green skin, what if the gimmick for this season of Life was each player continues their arc from last life and has to team up with someone from the past season that they ended on bad terms with. Like the person who killed them (Lizzie and Bdubs would be a cool duo imo) or someone who betrayed them (Cleo and Big B…), and one of them is forced to start on red life while the other gets to start on green.
Idk what the endgame would be for this, but I just think it’d be really cool
