1. If you had to watch one drama forever what would it be?
Uhm. Tbh I’m not much of a rewatcher, at least not very often, so this feels like some elaborate method of torture lmao
Maybe The Miracle of Teddy Bear because it’s super long with a lot of different storylines so it won’t be boring (until it kills me dead in the last ep).
Or maybe Gen Y because lmao lmao at least it’s entertaining 🤡
2. If you could change the ending of a drama which one would it be?
If there won’t be another season of Kinnporsche I’d just want some closure for KimChay. It doesn’t even necessarily have to be a happily ever after, just something more than crying alone in a room that isn’t even Chay’s room (he looked so lonely and trapped 😭) with a future that’s uncertain. And don’t even get me started on Kim.
Also, I need to see Korn lose. 😒
3. Name your favorite drama and tell who your favorite character was.
I can’t choose, I have so many and they change so often. 😭
I have a soft spot for Our Days and Mon is definitely one of my favourite characters. I have so much love for everyone involved in this production in general. 💜💜
Other than that, there’s Teh (ITSAY & IPYTM), Bar (En of Love, Love Mechanics), Toh (SCOY), Ae (Love By Chance), Prakan (Dear Doctor) aaand I want to say Kim (Kinnporsche) but there simply wasn’t enough of him in the show to count as a fave lmao
4. Name a drama you dropped within the first few episodes ~ we all have at least one!
Right now, it’s Check Out. I love Best Vittawin so, so much, but I can’t watch this. I can’t. I’m too weak. I’m sorry, Best, I failed you. 💀
5. Name a popular drama you've never watched and why?
You’re my Sky & Light On Me. Idk the stars just weren’t aligned, I guess. Maybe I’ll pick them up later when my watchlist isn’t as full (yeah, right lmao).
6. Name a drama you regret watching.
Hm. Maybe the second part of Love Area? I had a soft spot for the first half and I love Kaitoon as a character (and his actor too - I hope he’s going to be in another drama eventually) but wtf was that? I didn’t even mind the open/bad ending. Sometimes things just don’t work out and sometimes people are just toxic for each other but... make it make sense, at least! What’s with all of these side characters? Why did you underutilise Jeff Satur? Why did the screenwriters hate Nont so much? And the sound editing and continuity were really rough all of a sudden.
7. Name a drama you thought you’d never watch but did and did you end up liking it?
Uh. Probably 2Moons2. I read about the controversies before I watched the show and I was prepared to hate it but then I didn’t. I actually really liked it (for what it was... I mean, it isn’t a masterpiece or anything lmao).
8. Name a pairing you want to see?
Prom Ratchapat & Mark Siwat. They better deliver on that cameo because now I’m invested!
Also, Mos Panuwat & Bank Mondop because I love their travel vlogs so much. Actual hearteyes, they’re so 💜💜💜
And Perth Nakhun & Nodt Nutthasid because we all need at least one ghostship. 🤡
9. Name a pairing you didn’t think had chemistry?
Thanu & Wayu in Gen Y. What even was that? Like, what was the goal there? Was I too hung up on Thanu/Phai and Pha/Wayu to see it? I feel like if they had just allowed the actors to use their natural chemistry (like it shone through in the funny scenes) everything would have been fine but instead they just stared at each other during their “romantic scenes” and managed to convey not a single emotion that way. AND PHA DIED FOR WHAT? 😤
Also, Best Vittawin and Chahub Marut. They just don’t work for me tbh but it could just be that Check Out is so ?? ???
10. Name a pairing you have seen in another drama that you like?
Uh, as in - a drama I haven’t watched but where I like the pairing? Or a pairing that’s been in several dramas?
Idk I’m confused but I think Jame Kasama & Jet Jetsadakorn are Starhunter’s best acting pair and it’s time they realised that and gave them another show (Big can come too, as a treat).

Wei watches 2Moons2 Ep 7: HAPPY INTERNATIONAL FORTHBEAM DAY
Today’s ep is pretty interesting because we get something for all three couples. I’m excited. Phoom and Dome have also been trying to get us all hype for the ForthBeam section so let’s go in READY!
Kit’s expressions here over the cake? Amazing. The conversation between him and Ming about the cake? Cute. Kit asking WHY HASN’T MING ANSWERED HIS TEXTS? Next level. The full MingKit experience is coming soon.
Pha asking Yo who he’s with is pretty controlling, but standard for Pha. At the very least, PhaYo seem to respect each other’s time and choices, which is something I’ve seen other people say in their liveblogs. See, this is how you do “artistic interpretation that updates and enhances the story.” Take some fucking notes Khun New.
So cute that Pha ran over to give Yo pink milk though.
Montry’s advice to go see Pha was good, but Suthee the relationship councilor was better. I can’t remember for sure, but I think in the novel that Yo says that Suthee is nice to talk to, so it’s good to see that reflected here.
I also love that Kit wonders what’s up, and then sees Pring all over Pha and rolls his damn eyes because shit Pha, you know what that would look like and you need to stop her. I also love how Beam is a shit and is like, “Look boss, it’s your boyfriend come to see you!”
Ben’s surprised face and then “Oh shit, he’s mad” face were alright. Could use a bit of work.
But after seeing Pring’s face when Pha is like, “Look at my boyfriend!” I know we’re definitely in for jealous Pring and shitty Park arc. And that upsets me. I was hoping with how they had de-emphasized Pring that we wouldn’t see this arc. Alas. Maybe we’ll only get a piece of it.
They are giving MingKit all the soft, “I am saying I like you without saying I like you,” lines and I’m down for that. Like Kit saying, “Don’t back up for too long,” is the same thing as, “I miss you and want to see you more often. Don’t keep running for too long.” and I think that’s beautiful.
Kit’s gay panic at seeing Ming come to pick him up was just as fun.
And at last. The moment we were waiting for. We saved the best for last. The ForthBeam section!
The party at Lam’s is so so, but the ForthBeam conversation? That mood lighting? The way they went for it? So good. It is a lot more emotional than the way it sounded in the novel, which is good. It makes what happens here less of a drunken fling and more seeking emotional comfort, which is what Beam was probably wanting. And their kisses did not disappoint. At all. Like, I knew I loved you for a reason Phoom. I have to throw Dome up there as well now because he did a great job too.
Their conversation the morning after is a little difficult to follow. We’re not exactly given enough context as to why Beam is upset with himself, or maybe I just didn’t catch it all. It’s also interesting to note that Forth is being pushed as the aggrieved party because I’m guessing he feels used?
Based on the closing line, “I don’t like one night stands,” I’m guessing Forth is actually interested in Beam since before all this happened. At least to some extent. OR he’s just that kind of charming man that wants to date you properly while blowing your mind. I’m good with either scenario here. I am also sad that we don’t get a lot of Forth’s internal dialogue because it explains why he suddenly realizes he’s into Beam, or at least why he wants to date Beam. Maybe we’ll get that in the next ep.
Overall, a good episode. Lots of forward motion for all three relationships. And at least they didn’t fishbowl us. They just faded to black tastefully. At least I got to see Phoom’s nipples? Happy ForthBeam Day everyone!

Hope Less Romantics
Pairing: Ming x Kit
Words: 1.5k
Summary: Kit was not, by any stretch of the imagination, a romantic.
(A Kit character study drabble that got way out of hand.)
Warning: the formatting got fudged here, so just read it on AO3 if possible, otherwise, enjoy!
Kit was not, by any stretch of the imagination, a romantic.
Or, well, he didn’t think he was. Sure he eventually wanted to love and be loved (particularly after seeing how happy Pha and Yo made each other, although, he was sure that they could make even the worst of skeptics into believers - they were just that sickeningly sweet), but he wasn’t exactly what one would call ‘expressive’ with his feelings.
He knew he was blunt and stubborn, and too quick to anger or become defensive when he got flustered or embarrassed. Of course, while he knew this didn’t mean he was unlovable, he knew he didn’t make things any easier either.
And then there was Ming.
Kit acted like he hated it, but he knew he was falling hard and fast for the younger boy. He could talk about lack of sincerity, of being annoyed and pestered, of never being left alone, until he was red in the face, but he knew those things wouldn’t make his feelings any less than what they already were.
Kit knew that sooner or later he’d give in. It was almost inevitable.
(And he was already halfway in love with him, anyways.)
That idiot had somehow managed to basically annoy his way into Kit’s heart, as ridiculous as it seemed. Ming, whose affection was loud, just as he was, and who was quickly becoming a staple presence in his life.
It was like there was no escaping it. Ming was there when he got out of class, when he got back to his dorm room, when he was sitting in his usual study areas. Ming was there even if he wasn’t, always niggling at back of Kit’s mind even when he was trying to eat, to sleep, to study - giggling and laughing with that stupid bright smile of his. Ming was even there in that tingling feeling that pressed into his wrist and made warmth radiate throughout the rest of his body whenever Ming would show up to pester him into spending time together. The warm feeling lasted for what felt like hours after, an afterimage of that bright feeling Ming always seemed to give to him.
(And God, if that kiss hadn’t completely shorted out his brain for a second.)
But Kit was good at lying to himself. And if he didn’t want to deal with his steadily growing feelings for Ming, then he would not.
(Maybe he wasn’t as good at lying to himself as he thought.)
. . .
Kit was forced to admit that after 3 days of Ming’s sudden absence, it felt strange - foreign even - to be by himself in the spots that usually found both Ming and him bickering (or Ming doing something and Kit pretending he wasn’t sneaking glances across the table, tracing the sloping shape of Ming’s nose and furrowed brow as he concentrated).
Whether it be near his classes, at lunch hanging around the cafeteria, outside their opposing dorm buildings, it all just felt quieter somehow. Not that quiet wasn’t nice for the first few minutes, but then everything just felt somehow more empty.
(Kit privately thought he might have missed having Ming around, not that he’d ever admit to it in the light of day, and especially not out loud.)
Thankfully, because he was busy studying for exams, he didn’t have much time to not miss Ming anyways. But, he was still relieved when Ming, looking particularly soft with his mussed hair and pajamas, appeared again, even if it was horror movie style. They bantered as usual, until Kit couldn’t contain it any longer.
“Why do you keep disappearing, lately?”
‘Maybe I’ve been too harsh on him,’ he thought as Ming went silent for a few seconds, the barest whisper of a sigh slipping from between his lips.
He looked so tired and resigned that Kit almost couldn’t bear to look at him, instead staring off into the night, his mind drifting to the clusterfuck with Beam. And what he wouldn’t give to have that never happen, hurting his best friend, Ming, and also somehow himself in the process.
“I’m...scared” said Ming finally.
Well of all the things that Kit had expected to hear, it hadn’t been that.
“Scared of what?”
“Everything. You can call me a wuss, but I really do have feelings for you.”
Kit shifted uncomfortably, but kept his face as carefully neutral as he could. If that comment didn’t make Kit feel like running for the hills. It was easier, almost, to think of Ming as some ridiculous playboy who would get over him in a few weeks, anyways, so it wouldn’t be worth pursuing anything and putting his heart in even more of a disastrous situation than it already was.
“And I know that I was wrong in how I approached you, so I’m scared that if I see you too often, you’ll get annoyed.” Ming continued. That was fair enough.
“I feel like I’m backing up.” finished Ming. Kit took a second to process that, blinking at Ming incredulously. He’d never understand his thought process. Spending all that time fighting for Kit to recognize his feelings and then all of a sudden he just gives up? Did that even make any sense?
Kit began to trudge up into his building, his feet and heart just a little heavy, ready to collapse into bed. He made his good nights, debating it over in his head, but ultimately chose not to react to what Ming had just said until he’d had more time to process it (and he wasn’t running on 85% coffee. He was honestly fairly convinced that his blood was more coffee than blood, right now).
(And besides, he was sure that was most of the reason why he had said anything at all, never mind the fact that it had been bothering him more than he’d allowed himself to think about.)
He paused again. He wasn’t quite sure what to say, but he was sure that he couldn’t leave it like that, not with Ming’s face beginning to pull down from disappointed into pained, making his own gut twist painfully.
“Ming.” he said finally, turning to face Ming once again.
“Yes.”
He paused again, and hoped it would be enough. He’d never been as good with words as Beam.
“Don’t back up for too long.” Immediately, Ming’s expression lightened and Kit sighed as he turned and finally made his way inside, his bed was giving off a siren call that he could no longer ignore.
He didn’t look back to see if Ming was watching him go.
. . .
Dropping his things in their places, Kit flicked on the light and flopped onto his bed with a relieved sigh, his phone vibrating in his pocket.
Moong Ming:
Sweet Dreams.
I’ll pick you up after your exam tomorrow.
KitKat:
Dream on.
Kit huffed, annoyed at the audacity of his junior.
(He was getting worse at lying to himself too.)
It was then, bathed in the soft glow of his bedside lamp, that Kit allowed himself to smile giddily, barely resisting the urge to clutch his pounding heart.
. . .
Kit stretched languidly as he exited the exam room, Beam doing the same on his left as they grumbled about the exam together. His head was scrambled, and he couldn’t wait for the three of them to get out and finally just relax for a little while before having to go back to the grind.
“Ai Beam! The Professor wants to speak with you!” called Pha.
“Hey, what about me?!” Kit called in response to their retreating figures. “Ai Pha!”
He scratched his head awkwardly, then sighed and turned to go, shaking his head slightly. He figured he could get a head start on relaxing and just let them know where they could meet up.
Then he registered who was coming through the door.
And suddenly all of those dumb romantic cliche’s seemed to make sense to him. Ming walked through the door, pushing both sides open to enter through the centre, his hair slicked back and wearing a varsity style jacket and a t-shirt and jeans, but it was like it was happening in slow motion. Like the sun had come out on a dark, gloomy day just to add sparkles around his stupid perfect face. He smiled that smug half smile that Kit hated to find so attractive, and strolled right up to him, his smile growing as he came closer.
It felt like all the air had been sucked right out of the room, like the floor had given way beneath him and he was falling through.
He swallowed and tried to remember how to speak, his heart beating double.
(And god, he really freaking liked him, didn’t he.)
He was sure that nothing around him had changed, but things still seemed different.
Maybe he still wasn’t ready to get into this, to deal with the many problems and risks associated with being in a relationship with someone like Ming, he was stubborn to a fault after all. But maybe, just maybe, that didn’t have to mean he still had to lie about it to himself.
(Okay, so maybe he was a little bit of a romantic.)

1. Your all time favorite bl/gl character and why.
Only ONE? JUST ONE? BUT I HAVE A LIST OF BOYS! Ok I guess the person at the top of my list would be Zhou Shu Yi from We Best Love. I find his honesty and ignorance quite endearing. I like that he reacts with his emotions first, you can literally always tell how he’s feeling no matter how he tries to hide it. I love that he’s so intelligent and yet a little dumb. He’s just a passionate character and he makes me so emotional and I love him and he’s so perfectly imperfect!
2. What's your one character from a bl/gl you wanted to punt in to the stratosphere (you only get one so choose wisely)
Fu Yong Jie (the creepy younger step brother) from History 4. He was a scary and creepy character to me. I did not like him and I literally had to skip the entire 2nd couple’s storyline because of him.
3. The best music moment from a bl/gl
I can’t remember what ep it was but in TharnType s1 when Type sees Tharn perform on stage for the very first time...honestly all of Tharn’s performances were great. But that stage unlocked a whole Kink Type didn’t even know he had and also Tharn’s stage presence during that scene was hypnotizing.
4. What's a popular heterosexual text that you would like to see adapted into a bl/gl?
I really don’t have an answer for this question. It’s not anything I’ve ever thought about. PASS.
5. A scene from a bl/gl that always makes you laugh
That one ep in Together With Me when Korn kept running from Knock. Like he was in a full on Forrest Gump run from Knock. And Knock and all their friends were like “What the freak is going on??”
Also the scene in Light on Me when Taekyung accidentally poked Shinwoo’s butt with that dildo!?
That scene in My Engineer when Thara offered to give Frong a lift back to school on his “ride” and he came screeching in with his bicycle.
6. Biggest disappointment?
I didn’t like how the conflict was resolved in My Sweet Dear. By the end of the series the whole “cook-off to see who is head chef” competition felt unnecessary. It didn’t actually solve anything and that time could’ve been used to resolve the actual deception Chef Choi caused.
Also Jun Ho actually d-wording at the end of Kissable Lips??? I actually cried so much and I really, really hoped they could’ve figured out a way for both Jun Ho and Min Hyun to survive. Like the series had so much potential! I love them both tho!
7. What two random bl/gl characters would make hilarious exes?
Forth from 2moons2 and Win from UWMA. The clash of the Bi Motorcycle Himbos. In all honesty they would never work as a couple because they are so much alike and I imagine their breakup would be the most amicable breakup in history. Like what would their origin story even look like??
8. Who would be funniest person to force to watch a bl/gl in it's entirety and which one would you make them watch?
Funniest person in my life? Probably my older sister. I feel like she would genuinely be confused but also so intrigued by the BL universe and I’d probably have her watch something like My Engineer or YYY the series or Y-Destiny. You know something more comedic and less plot heavy so she can just take in the chemistry between characters.
9. Best wardrobe moment/or character wardrobe from a bl/gl (screenshots if you are brave).
Y’all know I love a well styled character and I have to say that some of the best wardrobe styling I’ve ever seen in a series was in Oxygen the series. All the characters had clear personal styles and seemed to wear a lot of the same colors and I loved that so much. Phu wore a lot of grays, Kao wore a ton of red, Gui wore a lot of blue, and Solo wore pretty much all black and white.
Solo has some of the best styling I’ve ever seen in a series. I just love a lot of the pieces in his wardrobe. He always looks good.

Highlights of 2020

As I wrote this, I realized that this is in no particular order because I was wracking my brain.
1. Cherry Magic
What to say - this show literally carved itself into my heart and forever be such a warm memory as the year ended. I never felt such a visceral, soulful PURE LOVE at this level in a LONG time. This drama felt... real, relatable and just PERFECT? Kurosawa was such a disaster gay - to be in a one-sided love for 7 years??? WHAT. Adachi.. his clumsiness and his insecurities felt so GODDAMN relatable that I rewatched the show from ep 1-12, 4 times!!
Thank you Cherry Magic for being such a surprising, yet wonderful gift.
2. Until We Meet Again
I know that the chemistry between Korn/In and Pharm/Dean really struck me as being so painfully beautiful. It got confusing a bit but their pain had a searing affect on me. Watch for the gut-wrenching love and stay for their chemistry.
3. He’s Coming To Me
THIS WAS THE SHOW THAT INTRODUCED OHM TO ME so I’m forever grateful because MY GOD CAN THIS KID ACT??? He just breathes pure talent. The story is bittersweet if you think about it but OH-SO-WELL-DONE by both Ohm and Singto! The story felt like fate and it can get super depressing but then it hugs you like a soft cloud.
4. 2gether The Series
I don’t think I cannot put this show - I was so beyond invested that I would watch even when subs weren’t uploaded on time hoping that I would magically understand Thai. At first, Tine was a complete doofus and in a way grew onto me as an endearing doofus. Then, when Sarawat’s story came to be - I think I literally saw my heart leap out of my throat. A must watch show!

I know people were apprehensive about a remake, as was I, but I was willing to give it a chance to see the other two couples’ stories fleshed out. BOY, I was... just invested in Ming/Kit + Forth/Beam more than I thought I would be. It was just nice to see what could have been with the original.
6. Where Your Eyes Linger
AH SHIT THIS GODDAMN SHOW WHAT THE ACTUAL HHOLY HELL WAS THIS SHOW MY GOD. MY HEART. RIPPED RIGHT OUT. DOA. DEAD ON ARRIVAL.
Tae Joo and Kang Gook.. truly.. TRULY.. were precious and all I ever wanted to do every goddamn episode was to give them the warmest hug. They both needed it. The episodes were shorter than I would have liked but creatively (screenwriting, acting, direction, cinematograph) well-executed. I mean I felt the tangible ANGST between these two IDIOTS whenever they breathed.
7. Your Name Engraved Herein
Why does this show exist to just hurt me. It’s rhetorical and there’s no if/way about it because even if I were to re-watch it, which I won’t because I maxed out on pain already for 2021, I would bask at the beautiful acting, direction, lighting of this show.. There were many times where I would literally be clutching my pillow with a deathly grip as I watched the pure heartbreaking sadness consume me. So many Oscar worthy scenes SO MANY. I felt like bawling so many times but I would have never finished it if I had let those flood-gates open. What a beautiful, yet macabre movie.
8. Theory of Love
oh man.. this show.. for me, THIRD carried this drama (not that the other actors didn’t do their best). He is one of the best actors I’ve seen and it’s just really refreshing to see someone with NUANCED acting. He conveys his unrequited love with a breath of fresh yet suffocating air. Khai... oh Khai... I don’t think I would ever understand you but thank you for coming around and giving love back to Third.
9. Gaya Sa Pelikula
MY first Filipino BL and it literally blew my goddamn mind?????? LIKE WHAT. The premise of it was literally ‘like a movie’ and so I stayed because I was immediately captivated. If you’re hesitant about watching it because of whatever reason, just know that Vlad and Karl have immense chemistry and truly bring justice to the story.
10. I Told Sunset About You
THIS..fucking show. I MEAN PURE TALENT exists with Billkin and PP because where in the actual fuck did they find these actors? I honestly thought I lost at least 5/7 lives during this show. It is a damn masterpiece and I’ll be damned if I don’t watch it another 11 times. Teh’s internalized insecurities are just so beautifully fleshed out, which is such a contrast to Oh-Aews struggles. To be ripped apart by circumstances at no fault of their own (well Teh had his moments), to find each other once more.. UGH CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL.

1. Your all time favorite bl and why
It's Bad Buddy. I am sorry to sound generic but an introvert like me started POSTING on tumblr because of this show. It's Bad Buddy. I have no qualms. Come @ me, I DONT CARE.
As for the reason, I think BB kind of has paved the way for a better future for the BL industry. Its characteristic feature is that it employs literally all BL tropes but in a way that doesn't make us cringe at the misogynistic and heteronormative undertones that every other BL shamelessly over - employs.
(Honestly how I am supposed to watch another bl after this, I have no clue).
2. That one bl that scarred you for life
I won't say it SCARRED me but the last few eps of Bite Me were truly upsetting. The one thing I hate is half assed endings that do NOT keep up with how the first half of the series went. It sucked and I was so sad that I couldn't even watch it after ep 7 or something. And I was even an actual fan of the slow romance. (I Know it's an UNPOPULAR OPINION OKAY)
Other than that, I just simply do not watch emotionally scarring stuff. Sorry, I am fragile and CANNOT do bad and sad endings.
Also, perhaps the fact that BB almost was about to give us a sad/ambiguous ending did emotionally scar me 😌
3. Is there any bl that made you feel very single
I mean other than BB as a whole bl that made me feel super uper duper single, cuz OHM and NANON, I also felt weirdly single when I saw Mark and Kit interactions in Gen Y S1. Idk, it's something about the whole sunshine and tsundere chemistry that STRIKES me. OH other than that, there were so many instances in 1000 stars (ESPECIALLY EPISODE 5 WHERE THEY LITERALLY BLUSHED AND FLIRTED WITH EACH OTHER asking for kite matches and whatnot ugh it was too much for my heart to handle).
4. If you could change one thing from a bl, which one would it be?
Make Pure and Folk the main couple of My Gear and Your Gown (2020). They were splendid, and although I like Marc, babe, I think you need to work a bit more on your acting skills.
5. That one bl you detest (don’t hold back)
I dont really detest any. There are millions which made me cringe so hard that I stopped watching, though. There is no space for detest in my heart 😌🤣.

(this isn’t 100% accurate cuz I’ve decided to include shows that are still airing and they may move up or down on the list once they’ve finished airing. Shows with multiple seasons/spin-offs will be counted as one unless I decided that they’re too different to be in one rank. And lastly, I don’t dislike the shows that are low on the list—unless I explicitly say so—I’ve just watched a shitload of dramas, so don’t attack me if ur fave is at 26 or smth lmao)

Again, should be pretty self-explanatory. The plot? The acting? The tropes? Utter perfection.
