So I thought I already posted this but then I saw it sitting in my drafts, whoops

I don't actually have a fully cleaned-up profile pic for Laurence yet. The entire reason I drew him with his hands in his pockets to begin with was to have him pull out a bunch of tickle-tools with a shitty grin. It'll happen eventually, lmao.

Personality: Overall he's a gentle giant. Outside of costume, he's quiet, soft-spoken, and keeps to himself. He seems low-energy and a little melancholy. His playful, fun-loving demeanor comes out more when he's having fun at arcades, movies, amusement parks etc. but he's still more energetic in costume, where he allows himself to be goofy and theatrical, and feels like he can be more true to himself. A bit of a cheeky prankster. Very protective & paternal towards his friends.

Background:

Laurence always loved theater & performing, especially at circuses. He was in theater classes for the majority of his middle and high school years. He eventually insisted to his mom that he would like to be a circus performer, or at least a party clown to start with, and she more or less laughed him off. She and his teachers all insisted he use his skills in networking and coordinating for something more "useful" or lucrative, like a manager or director. She even partially hoped he would keep performing as a hobby and pursue other careers. This caused a rift to form between them, and made him feel like he had to hide his true passions and personality. But in spite of their discouragement, he got a degree in performing arts and started landing circus gigs.

Over the years, he began to realize he had a tickle kink. He adored peoples' laughter, and got a rush out of tickling & being tickled. In his early twenties, he browsed dating sites, servers, forums, etc seeking out other knismos - especially people who had an affinity for clowns. It's nice to see a character nip a cycle of abuse at the bud ah! He deserves all the applause cause honestly, the situation isn't exactly on his side but he stood up for himself and for others in the future, too.

Yeah, ZR reflect on your behaviour. A bad childhood isn't an excuse for abusive, harassing behaviour as a grown up.

Okay! Third time’s the charm :3 this has been sitting in my askbox for a hot minute because I’m. a fool. I don’t back away from a challenge though, so here we go! Absolutely. It becomes a war eventually. Aki starts it by taking his scarf when she goes out for a bit and wants some reminder of him. She comes back home to find G’raha in one of her oversized sweatshirts. Aki has the upper hand, because she can fit into anything of his if she’s okay with drowning in them. Cons of having tiny gf: clothes too small to snipe. He has to get real creative, but he is nothing if not determined.

Omg. They so would. Aki loves enclosed spaces, and if that space contains pillows and her partner? Shes over the moon. They would spend so much time in there before taking it down, they would definitely have little slumber parties in there.

I think its a tie! Aki prefers to speak with her actions, but G’raha is just. Super passionate in general, so I can see them both doing it.

Aki HATES mornings, so unless she is dragged out of bed, she is sleeping in as long as she can. And how is she supposed to sleep if her partner decides to be productive? G’raha learns to bring books and stuff to bed for when its one of their lighter days, since how could he say no when Aki asks him to stay so sweetly?

Who is the light weight that needs to be taken care of after a party?

G’raha! Aki holds her alcohol really well. She also doesn't drink much anymore, so they only one who even has a chance of going over the edge is G’raha. She knows all the tricks, so she takes really good care of him.

G’raha once again. I feel like he would do SO well in the kitchen. Aki also likes to play with fire a bit too much, metaphorically and literally, so she always has a higher chance of screwing up the dish lmao. They like to cook together though, so when he’s there to keep the dumbass INSIDE of Aki, the stuff they make is amazing!

Which is more likely to swear?

Aki dosen’t know how to NOT swear. She swears a lot, any chance she gets. G’raha picks up on some of her more colorful vocabulary and its the funniest thing ever to the Scions.

They both would, if given the chance. And they both expect it from each other at this point, so they have a LOT of talks about it where they both promise to never do it… but if it were to come down to it, they both would prefer to die a liar than to watch their beloved die.

No, they’re really open with each other. Aki can’t keep a secret to save her life, but G’raha would be in endless trouble if he were to keep a big secret from her again.

If the water was warm and they were in a secluded area, then yes! If those conditions were not met… absolutely not.
