do you think the members of Organization XIII ever thought about their Nobodyhood and lack of humanity? that was a rhetorical question, there's quite a lot of evidence that they think about it often. but do you think they ever thought about how despite appearing human, on the inside they're more similar to the writhing creatures they command? that they looked at their own personal Nobodies, the Dragoons and Assassins and what have you, and thought about how those were made for the ones they serve, mirroring their mannerisms, their techniques, everything? what that meant about their place in the universe? how undeniably inhuman they are now?

Thinking about arrogant princes today and my writing of how Namor first came to the Atlantean Court bc yeah you COULD go with silver age canon of Fen raising Namor in court but why would you when you should go with Golden age canon of Tha-Korr being a massive asshole and exiling his only daughter for 10 years because she defied him and loved a surface man and bore a half human child.
So Fen then takes Namor into the wilds to survive for 10 years before she is allowed to return, so Namor went from being a happy, well loved, cared for child to the center of the Viper Pit that is the Atlantean Court where he very quickly had to learn to survive the lies/deceit of the nobles while his mother's attention was constantly taken by her father's demands and orders she return to her princess duties to care for the people, and Namor doesnt want to be the cause her having to leave again, so he suffers alone, silent, taunted by his cousins and others who hate him except for his one friend, Dorma, and so he had to create this mask of arrogant indifference because he learned early on that weakness meant pain and humiliation. Condemned to his Princely obligations while yearning to be free of them and missing his carefree childhood.
