my brain isn't functional enough to provide any effective analysis but if I ever think too long or hard about it it does just end up pissing me off so this is how we get me making the occasional post reminding everyone that I dislike tears of the kingdom. in case we all forgot. I dont think it's a good game its flaws outweigh its heights so severely for me. im mostly just tired that this is the state of one of my favourite game series of all time; just nigh fucking endless filler justified by a mechanic that doesn't belong. I really wish I liked this game more and it's not that I think it's all bad, I had some really high highs when I played it and I recognise the value and fun to be had in the ultrahand mechanic but it's not something that I find value and fun in, and without that the entire game fucking falls apart. six years we waited six years for this. im not buying the next zelda game day 1 I don't think I can do this again

The Hero - Skylar
Nature: Naive
Characteristics: Somewhat of a Clown / Highly Curious
Ability: Cute Charm
Moves: Sing / Wide Slash / Dig / Blizzard
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BELOW THE CUT
Fitting to start with Skylar's references first. I recently redid them which gave me some fresh new ideas for her character too.
Her first ref sheet is of her human form. I put a lot of thought into how she'd interact with Grovyle and the others like this and my conclusion was to use the power of psychic pokemon. Her necklace is an espeon pearl that essentially gives her telepathy, a very important item for her.
Aside from that she carries round and assortment of dungeon crawling materials. A small dagger for cutting through foliage, a not as small bat for knocking Sableye into next week. Since she's super active and basically has to throw hands to defend herself she's got some decent muscle on her. She can also use the psychic powers from the pearl to add an extra kick to her bat attacks but that doesn't do much when you're punting small dark types.
I like to think if she had a pokemon type she'd be fighting / psychic (dimensional scream counts as psychic powers, right?) Pokestar studio style.
Then there's her pokemon form which needs less explanation. I think the most interesting new lore I added to her was that she'd naturally have the psychic tera type. I used to really like to draw her with her eyes open when she was shocked or surprised in the past but I think that's an honor reserved for when she has dimensional screams now.
As a delcatty I tried to give her tail a more feather like appearance to kinda match her name. :)

PMD: Gates to Infinity Timeline
Rescue Team
I wanted to document the in-universe timespan of the story of every PMD title in detail and originally make it all into one post, but decided to split it into four instead. Every PMD timeline post will have links to the other titles as I progress with this little project.
Know that I'll count vague timeskips to the best of my judgement, the one dungeon = one day rule doesn't strictly apply (yes, even with the V-Wave mechanic in gti), and I document every game up until the hero and partner reunite, though I might make additions for post-game story later on.
Introduction Arc
On day 1 the hero meets the partner after landing in the Pokemon world, and on day 2 you play through Gurdurr's arc to get him to build your house. The construction starts on the evening of day 2 and is said to last a few days. Not counting day 2's evening, I'll make it three days, making day 5 the day where the house is finished.
On day 6 you meet Dunsparce, Emolga, and Virizion who join your team by the end of the day. The team is officially established on day 7.
Gurdurr's store is established on day 8 and he asks you to bring him materials which you give to him on day 9. Gurdurr opens his store on day 10. Nothing happens on days 11-12 but on day 13 Victini arrives in Paradise and the hero has a dream the following night. Day 14 is uneventful, the fata morgana of the Great Glacier appears on day 15, and day 16 is uneventful again.
Umbreon and Espeon Arc
On the night before day 17, the hero has another dream and Umbreon is approaching Post Town. A warning about a dangerous Pokemon in the area goes out in the morning. The following night, Umbreon comes closer to the town and on day 18 Swadloon disappears to Inflora Forest where the team picks him up. Umbreon arrives in Post Town on day 19.
On day 20, Umbreon demonstrates the summoning of a Magnagate and the team takes off to rescue Espeon. Umbreon and Espeon join the team on day 21. Virizion and Dunsparce have a conversation on the hill the following night. The next morning, on day 22, Quagsire tells the team that one Pokemon has to stay in Paradise and can't go to the expedition.
Great Glacier Arc
I was debating on wether to apply the one dungeon = one day rule in this arc since technically we don't get any indication that a night passes during the expedition but I decided yes, both because its supposed to feel long and for another reason*.
That being said, day 23 marks the day the team make their way to the Great Glacier via a Magnagate dungeon. They arrive and make their way through the glacier on day 24 and take another Magnagate dungeon on day 25. Day 26 is the day they make it through the Glacier Palace for the first time and return home in the evening.
On day 27 Emolga uses the Frisms to mess with the team before telling them that during their absence, floating lights that could be seen from the hill appeared. The hero has another dream and on the morning of day 28, the partner asks the hero to promise them to stay in this world after fulfilling their duty. On day 29, one floating light can be seen from the hill. *If you talk to Ducklett, they'll say the lights first appeared about a week ago which adds up the best if you assume the expedition took four days.
Munna and Hydreigon Arc
Munna finally manages to make contact with the hero via their dreams. On the next day, day 30, the hero and partner take a Magnagate to Kilionea Road. They plan to sleep over the night outside the dungeon, but are alarmed by Munna, prompting them to make it through the Forest of Shadows at night. They get ambushed at Mount Kilionea afterwards but escape.
The hero makes it to Daybreak Ridge on day 31 where they're attacked by Toxicroak and saved by Hydreigon. When they wake up, Hydreigon says they've been out for a while, possibly making it day 32. Hydreigon and the hero team up and make it through Ochre Quarry and in the evening, Hydreigon explains the situation.
On day 33, the hero and Hydreigon make it through Withered Savanna where Purugly confronts them and tells them that they've got the Partner as a hostage. Presumably on day 34*, the duo makes their way to Holehills to rescue partner. On day 35* hero, partner, and Hydreigon make their way through the Scorching Desert. They're attacked by Kyurem in the evening and hero and partner are found and rescued by Emolga and Dunsparce.
*Withered Savanna, Holehills, and Scorching Desert could all be happening on one day but I decided to apply the 1d = 1d rule because otherwise it'd last as long as the glacier expedition and based on how long the arc feels, how the road takes up a chunk of the map, and how Emolga says they've been searching for hero and partner because they were gone for so long and started to get worried despite Mount Kilionea being established as a far away place, I think it makes sense that it lasts longer.
Finale Arc
The hero recovers from their injuries and wakes up on day 36 as the team decides their next course of action. They explain the situation to Post Town on day 37 just before Glacier Palace rises into the sky. Umbreon and Espeon make their way to Great Glacier that night and the team follows on day 38, on which they make it through the palace and destroy the Bittercold. The hero leaves the Pokemon world the next morning on day 39.
Worldcore Arc
A vague long timeskip happens, but if you look at the story summary by either exiting and entering the game or switching between Friend- and Hero Mode, it says months have passed, so we'll go with three months here.
On the evening of day 1 post-skip, Dunsparce and Emolga talk to Hydreigon in the Inn while Virizion and Keldeo have a conversation on the hill. Dunsparce approaches Hydreigon on day 2 and Hydreigon disappears the next day. He returns on day 4 to tell the team about the Worldcore where the partner manages to make a wish and be reunited with the hero.
Conclusion
The main story lasts 39 days while the post-game story lasts 4 days. Counting everything together with the time skip and assuming the timespan includes two 30-day and two 31-day months, the entire story of Gates to Infinity lasts 134 days or 4 months, 1 week and 5 days

punch out pokemon au ‼️
so i realized that punch out wii has 13 opponents (not counting donkey kong) that are divided up in such a way that they could all be opponents in a pokemon game! the minor and major circuits are the 8 gym leaders, the world circuit is the elite four, and mr sandman is the champion! it's too perfect! i've at least decided everyone's type specialties, sooo....
gym leaders (minor & major circuits):
- glass joe: flying types
i imagine joe is not as miserable in this au, since the first gym leader's job is literally to lose a lot to young trainers. he's not too skilled at battling, and became a gym leader by accident. his team is made up of two measly kalosian flying types, fletchling and vivillon.
- von kaiser: rock types
i know herr kaiser is typically associated with steel, but steel types are way too cool to be the type of the second gym. sorry. i imagine his students are his gym trainers. his ace is rockruff, and maybe he uses something classic like geodude as well.
- disco kid: electric types
these moves are ELECTRIC! i think this one is self-explanatory. disco kid is pretty good at battling, at least good enough to secure a spot as the 3rd gym leader, but he also doesn't take things too seriously. his team is made up of pokemon that he befriended first and trained for battle later, with his ace being raichu.
- king hippo: ground types
did i give him the ground type just so i could give him hippowdon? ...maybe. there's not much else for me to say about king hippo... he's just chilling. good for him. i was originally gonna give him the poison type, but i'll be giving that type to someone else. ;)
- piston hondo: ghost types
what can i say? he seems like a ghost type guy. obviously he gets a revaroom, because honda and all that. he absolutely feeds his pokemon only the best of snacks.
- bear hugger: normal types
what comes to mind when you hear "bear hugger" and "pokemon"? obviously it's bewear. that is his ace, without a doubt. he also has a greedent and a snorlax, it's way too perfect! and of course, they all like raw fish.
- great tiger: psychic types
yeah i don't think i need to explain this one. the man has a medicham (his ace) and an espeon. this also fits the theme of psychic gym leaders tending to have psychic powers themselves. do you think it's legal to use your own psychic powers to trip up your opponents in a battle? let's not worry about it...
- don flamenco: grass types
it goes without saying that this man has a roserade for his ace, as well as an equally powerful arboliva. maybe carmen is one of his gym trainers, or perhaps she's only there to cheer him on? and do you think he would acquire a shiny roserade for his title defense fight to match his all-black look?
elite four (world circuit):
- aran ryan: bug types
what an absolute bug of a man. starting off the elite four strong with a not-so-strong type, aran ryan chose the generation 7 bug type vikavolt to be his ace. he also has a shedinja, which sports the electric tera type and the air balloom item in his title defense fight. really? (for non-pokemon nerds, this setup makes it nearly unkillable. it's practically cheating!) aran has a questionable background, and seems to have been affiliated with some shady people in the past...
- soda popinski: water types
mister popinski has a love for both water and ice types, and he's in luck because a good few pokemon are both! his ace is one of those, that being walrein. he also has a lapras. he's quite fond of giving his team the soda pop item as opposed to normal healing items during battle.
- bald bull: fire types
red is the color of anger, and also the color of the fire type, so naturally this angry man would gravitate towards fire types, especially the fire type bull that is paldean taurous. he also uses a magmortar. of course bald bull isn't angry ALL the time, and spends his free time relaxing with his pokemon. warm pokemon give warm hugs :]
- super macho man: dragon types
of course everyone's "favorite" show-off uses what's generally regarded as one of the most powerful types. his ace is a kommo-o, a very cool one at that. (i like smm and i like kommo-o. but it works!) he also has an appletun, which was a gift to him from a certain someone... oh my god, this au lets macho man literally release the beast. amazing.
the champion (mr. sandman)
sandman does not use just one type, as is the case with most champions. he has a gengar and a musharna, for obvious reasons. he also has a crabominable and and a hydrapple. he was mysteriously missing after mac defeated the elite four, but i'm sure he'll come back soon. right?
i'm sure nothing bad will happen ;)
feel free to suggest ideas for this au, i still need to flesh out all of the teams so i am welcome to input :3

[fanfic] Al-Haitham (ft. Kaveh and Nahida) // Celebi
Al-Haitham is introduced to one of Nahida's new friends after being followed by it for weeks. [Another snippet of my Pokemon AU // Word count: 2774]
Al-Haitham spots it on an inauspicious day.
It was really only a flash of movement, but Al-Haitham isn’t one to let something slip by his attention. Usually, something like this would just mean an average Pokemon, a flying-type descending to perch, or a small rodent-like Skwovet darting along a branch.
Al-Haitham paused in his step, looking afar where he spotted the flash of green float by. There was a slight furrow in his brow, eyes narrowed as he tried to catch any further motion. After another three seconds, Al-Haitham dismissed the motion as insignificant to investigate further.
He continues his walk to the Akademiya.
-----
He spots it again a few days later.
Kaveh had dragged him out to shop since Al-Haitham had used up some of the spices he was planning to use for their dinner that day. It was another flash in the corner of his eye, this time Al-Haitham caught the vague shape of what must be a Pokemon or spirit.
He stops, eyes searching with a faint frown on his face. Espeon, walking at his side, stops a few steps ahead and turns around to let out an inquiring noise.
“Al-Haitham?” Kaveh calls out, realizing he stopped following.
Al-Haitham doesn’t respond, not for a few seconds at least. Finally, spotting nothing, he looks down at Espeon even as Kaveh drawls out his name for attention. “Can you keep an eye out for something small, floating around and green. Around the size of the Traveler’s white fairy.”
Espeon yips, brushing her head along his calf.
“Al-Haitham!”
He sighs, turning back ahead and catching up with Kaveh. “I heard you the first time, there’s really no point to keep shouting my name like this.”
He sees Kaveh scowl, and he moves on from the strange figure he’s spotted, getting swept up into another banter with the blonde.
-----
Al-Haitham understands that humans often correlate events to a pattern, even if it's untrue, but at some point, he wonders if he's actually being followed.
The third time the flash of a green sprite appears, he's sitting on the deck of their home's backyard. Espeon rests curled up on his lap while he reclines back on one of the outdoor chairs Kaveh had picked out not even two weeks into moving in. His Sceptile and Scolipede are also curled up and sunbathing, wrapped in a ball together on the grass.
Just as his eyes flit to the next open page to carry on reading, his gaze catches a flash of green bobbing just over the hedges that frame the yard. Al-Haitham narrows his eyes but keeps his movements still. Whatever is there, obscured mostly by the leaves, remains.
Now, he wonders whether it's worth approaching it himself or having Espeon sneak up on it. His hand moves slowly to rest on top of Espeon's head, scratching behind the ears in a way he knows will wake her up. The second his motions process, her ears are twitching up with attention, her two-ended tail rising and curling around his arm. It hides the slight way it quivers.
"Careful. It's back again." Al-Haitham says quietly, keeping his attention on the hidden green sprite even though his eyes remain on his book. "Can you sneak up to it?"
His Espeon doesn't reply vocally, instead, she uncurls, as normal as she would any other time, and hops down from her napping spot on his lap. She prowls over to the bushes, the gem on her forehead a striking red glow.
Just as she gets within a meter range, the sprite's form seems to jolt. Al-Haitham stands up, just as Espeon pounces through the hedges, but as Al-Haitham uses his vision to get on the other side, Espeon is shaking out the small sticks and leaves off her form. There's no green sprite in sight.
Al-Haitham sighs, picking Espeon up and helping her by plucking out some of the twigs and then brushing out anything else out of her fur.
"You saw it too this time though, didn't you?" He asks, earning an affirmative yip. Al-Haitham lets out a small huff, "whatever, it must've been lurking for a while. I'll have the others help keep a better watch."
Al-Haitham's biggest worry was that it wasn't some creature with curious intentions and instead, some kind of thing done to grab Intel and stalk either himself or Kaveh. It was unlikely, and Al-Haitham greatly doubted it, but it was still a slim possible threat.
----
"Al-Haitham why has Scolipede been following me around?"
Al-Haitham looks up from the pan he’s cooking dinner in. In the doorway of the kitchen, there was no sign of his Scolipede behind Kaveh. “If Scolipede entertains himself with following you around, it is hardly an issue.”
Much better than Scolipede destroying all the divans again, anyway. The only reason nothing else was torn up was because of Al-Haitham’s interference. Al-Haitham is only reassured because extensive training has avoided such a similar incident the following few years up to the present time.
“He’s– okay, he’s not following me. Not exactly, but I swear he’s conspiring something. Why else has he been watching me whenever I come to the living room? I woke up this morning and he was asleep in the doorway! I had to climb over him because he wouldn't budge or wake up.”
Yes… Scolipede would struggle to fit into Kaveh’s room without knocking over something. Al-Haitham mused, his attention shifting back to cooking.
“So?”
“So… so!” Kaveh sputters, he crosses his arms, “do you not have any clue as to where this peculiar behavior came from?” Al-Haitham debates mentioning the strange green sprite, but in the end he leaves the opportunity to bring it up. Not until he learns anything else.
“Try asking Scolipede yourself.”
He promptly sidesteps the slipper flung at his leg.
----
He’s taking a walk outside the Akademiya during the fourth occurrence. Now, however, Al-Haitham is quite convinced he is being followed.
The green sprite is currently actively following him. Al-Haitham believes this because Espeon’s tail keeps twitching, and it only does that when her attention is focused on a person or Pokemon she’s at least wary of. Then he is able to confirm it when he takes a path to the Razan Gardens and a familiar flash of green darts into the canopy above.
There’s practically no one around, not while most lectures are on and it’s nearing the exam period. Most students would be inside, attending lessons or studying at the House of Daena, and most researchers don’t often come to this spot of his. Al-Haitham picks a secluded area and takes out the packed lunch Kaveh prepared this morning before he left for his project. Espeon sits on the stone bench next to him, her ears flicking minutely.
Al-Haitham places down the small container of sliced sunsettias on one side, then he turns to face Espeon while he begins to eat his lunch.
He sees Espeon’s ears shoot up in attention before he hears the sound of movement fluttering down behind him. Espeon stares past him, she hardly blinks, but cranes her neck down when he holds out a piece of his meal for her to bite.
There are no further sounds from the curious little creature following him, and certainly no sounds of eating.
"They're for you." Al-Haitham says out loud and the wind whips behind him, likely startled. The sound of movement was just loud enough for him to notice. He continues because Espeon hasn't indicated that their tailer hasn't left completely, "otherwise I wouldn't have set them out like that."
Espeon finally stands back up on her four legs and walks over his lap to the other side of the bench behind him. Al-Haitham still doesn’t turn, but he hears his Pokemon’s greeting. The response of a chirping-like noise came less than two seconds later.
Al-Haitham finishes his meal and makes it very apparent and deliberate when he slowly stands up. There’s a squeak and then a fluttering jingle. Al-Haitham finally turns at the call of his Pokemon’s signal. The sunsettias are all gone, and so is the third party. Espeon sits next to the empty container, staring up into the sky.
“That certainly crosses out some things.” Al-Haitham mumbles. His fingers subconsciously moved to scratch the back of Espeon’s ears when she came over to rub her head against his hand.
----
Lesser Lord Kussanali meets him in a dream less than a week following this event.
“Al-Haitham.” She greets him, swinging back and forth on her seat of dendro. Al-Haitham dips his head in lieu.
“Nahida.” He glances around. The dreamscape is nothing significant, greenspace outside of the city of Sumeru. "Is this an urgent matter?"
“From my perspective, not necessarily. I actually have a request for you.” Nahida says, "it is who requested it who'd argue that it's rather urgent…in regards to importance."
“Oh?”
“Would you perhaps make time to come to a meeting with me and a friend tomorrow afternoon?” Nahida asks. She gives him a lopsided smile. “I know it’s a bit to ask so soon, I can assure you none of it will be business related though.”
It is soon to be asked for. Al-Haitham wasn’t working tomorrow, but he was going to go to the Grand Bazaar with Kaveh for more coffee beans. Still, Nahida’s company isn’t disliked. She’s the God of Wisdom after all, Al-Haitham’s discussions with her are usually intriguing and provide much mental stimulation.
“I can make time at noon after I finish some things.”
“No need to rush!” Nahida straightens up, but she’s smiling a little wider at him. Despite her earlier words about it not being urgent, Al-Haitham would say she’s just as excited that he accepted. “Thank you Al-Haitham. We’ll see you tomorrow afternoon in the Sanctuary of Surasthana then! Oh– and please bring along your Pokemon with you!”
Al-Haitham nods. “Until then.”
----
Al-Haitham pushes open the doors to the sanctuary, Espeon bouncing through past him and towards the center of the room. Al-Haitham follows after her, greeted by the sight of Nahida sitting at a round table of three empty chairs, snacks and tea already set up.
“Good afternoon, Al-Haitham.”
“Good afternoon.” Al-Haitham greets. At Nahida’s gesture, he takes a seat across from the God of Wisdom and Espeon hops onto one of the last two seats between them. Nahida hands Espeon a plate of Pokemon-catered treats and invites Al-Haitham to any of the food present.
“I’m sure you’d like to know right away why I asked you to come today.” Nahida smiles at him. It’s not something Nahida would have to look far to know. Al-Haitham nods. “I did say it wasn’t my request. I’d like to introduce you to someone, I’m sure you’re already vaguely familiar with it.”
“The Celebi that’s been following, you mean.” Al-Haitham says.
“Oh, so you do know.” Nahida lights up a little more at his inadvertent admission. That’s when he felt a tug on the strands of hair curled over his head. Al-Haitham raises a brow and Nahida giggles. He tilted his head to look above him, and there, just above were two wide, curious blue eyes peering down.
After his encounter with the Legendary Pokemon during his lunch break, he delved into the library and archives for a match. Since he didn’t get to see the Pokemon himself, it was up to Espeon to show him when he found a matching description. Apparently, it had been a long time since the last Celebi sighting was recorded in Sumeru. It was mentioned as brief, as though the Pokemon couldn’t bear to stick around here long enough to enjoy itself.
“Hello there,” Al-Haitham greets, all while smoothing a hand over the top of his head, the silver strands of hair that tend to puff outwards sliding out of Celebi’s mischievous hands.
The Pokemon of Legend chirps and trills at him, floating down and sitting right on his leg. Al-Haitham blinks, feeling taken aback as Nahida laughs. Celebi points with a tiny finger at the small bowl of custard. Then, without shame, looks up at Al-Haitham expectantly. Al-Haitham glances at Nahida, who watches over her cup of tea. Her eyes are squinted, clearly smiling behind the porcelain.
Al-Haitham grabs the small bowl and sets it down in front of Celebi along with a small spoon. Celebi chirps up at him with happiness and begins to eat with notable enthusiasm. Al-Haitham shifts his attention back to Nahida and Espeon, though his own Pokemon has already used her abilities to grab her own snacks at Nahida’s invitation.
“How long has Celebi been present?” Al-Haitham asks. Nahida sets down a piece of her crunchy candied dessert.
“Only three days prior to your knowledge. In fact, Celebi happened to wander its way here before exploring the changed political scape of Sumeru.”
“And it was this change that compelled it to show up in the first place.” Al-Haitham muses. Nahida nods along to his words.
“For Celebi to have appeared…” Her eyes fall to the table, looking melancholic. “Well, I suppose it can be seen as a reason to celebrate. So long as Sumeru is under me, I will have to make sure there's enforcement on the people’s treatment towards Pokemon.”
Al-Haitham looks at Espeon, whose tail sways back and forth, a sign of enjoyment as she eats her fill eagerly. There already has been work done to enforce stricter laws and regulations when it comes to Pokemon research. But he’d be naive to think that in itself is enough. Al-Haitham’s Espeon and Kaveh’s Umbreon were two Eevee kits that were bred for experimentation decades ago and were going to be simply tossed into nature. Without a doubt, had Celebi or any Legendary been caught and taken in under the jurisdiction of the old Sages, there’d be no telling what kind of research they’d do.
As they talk, Al-Haitham looks down when a small hand pats him for his attention. Al-Haitham tilts his head down, and Celebi points to the next treat on the table.
“Is that all?” He asks. Celebi puts a finger at its mouth with a contemplative sweep over the remaining snacks. Celebi nods, and Al-Haitham, in an automatic act, pats it on the head. He retracts his hand just as fast, an apology on his tongue because Celebi isn’t one of his Pokemon and he’s only actually met Celebi today. But Celebi catches his hand with one of its own and pats him reassuringly.
“I think there’s no need to feel formal, Al-Haitham.” Nahida offers, “Celebi’s eagerness to meet you means it would love to have your friendship.”
Al-Haitham’s hand lowers back down and he lets himself relax as Celebi leans contentedly into his palm.
“Honestly…” Al-Haitham sighs, but he’s quite happy being here. Good company is good company at the end of the day. While Al-Haitham won’t typically seek the company of people, they are likely the best presence he could be in.
-----
“I’m home.”
“Welcome back.” Kaveh calls from his spot in the living room. Al-Haitham finds him sprawled on one of the divans, Scolipede laying his head over Kaveh’s thighs, Umbreon curled on his chest, and Duosion resting in the crook of his neck. “How was your ‘outing’?”
“Very good, actually.”
Celebi chirps in agreement. Kaveh’s eyes shoot open, but he can hardly sit up in his position. Espeon skips around their coffee table to avoid Scolipede’s sleeping body to reach Kaveh and hop up onto the other unoccupied side of his head, curling up against his shoulder. He can see Kaveh trying to lift up his head.
Al-Haitham continues unperturbed, really just trying to get back at Kaveh for bringing home the Klefki that ate his house key. “You look quite cozy, how long have you been lying there?”
“I went for a nap soon after we got back home. I’ll have you know I had no say in waking up this way!” He hisses, quiet enough not to disturb the sleeping Pokemon. Al-Haitham already knows Kaveh would be glaring his way if he could. “And what, pray tell, accompanies you home today?”
“A Pokemon, I’m sure you can tell from there. It’s Celebi.”
“You can’t give me crap for bringing Klefki back with me when you–” Kaveh suddenly quiets. “Celebi?”
Al-Haitham turns to the Legendary Pokemon who flutters at his side with wide eyes of curiosity. “Given how long you lingered around before, I’m sure you know this is Kaveh, my roommate. Don’t be afraid to ask him in you need something whenever you drop by.”
“W-Wait– H-Haitham! What do you mean it’s Celebi? Haitham? Haitham!”

Hello, my name is Tessa and I work at the Hoenn Museum of Nature (or the Museum of Natu according to some of our younger kids.) We're just off of route 120, feel free to pop in and see our exhibits.
I often work behind the scenes with our collections, taking care of all sorts of specimens, but I've recently been coming out of our lab more often, organizing exhibits and doing outreach with children.
Much of our outreach is about teaching people the importance of conservation of more "uncharismatic" pokémon, and helping to clear up some of the misinformation out there. My "oldest" partner Sol is an absolute asset in that respect, even if he's not a traditional battler.
I've travelled quite a lot over the years and I've been pretty much everywhere, helping restore all kinds of collections all over the world. My passion is for bones and fossils, but I've been known to dabble in pottery restoration (as Arsenic can attest to)
Most of the pokémon that I have are actually registered to the museum, and work as wildlife stewards. I've also trained some service pokémon in my time, having unofficially started with my own Umbreon back when I was a child.
My "team" are more companions than anything else, but they're trained to battle...even if the "battles" they do are mostly against substitutes in order to exhibit their natural behaviours to the kids, or occasionally to have a fun little battle with one of the youngsters.
More under cut
My personal Pokémon:
Ve: My Espeon, who's been with me since I was a little girl. Ve helps me with sensory issues and is an absolute delight. I can always count on her to ground me, and to make sure that I remember to eat.
Sol: My absol, the first pokémon I ever caught myself. Has been helping dismiss the myths of them causing disasters ever since I had him. He's definitely not a young boy, he had already been old when he saved my younger self from being lost in the mountains, but he's now settled in to a comfortable retirement with all the berries he can eat.
Arsenic: Sinistea. I can't call her "mine" because she doesn't seem to like it, but she's a real character. I found her when I was in Galar to help with some of their specimens, having a massive crack in her poor body. I spent hours repairing her cup with techniques I had found on omanyte care forums and stuff from my classes, and now she is my favourite little menace. 11/10 would be haunted by again.
Tumblr media
Some of our museum Pokémon:
Natu: Natu. He just wandered in one day and decided to never leave...so he lives here now. Only has a pokeball because we had to take him to the center for a check-up, but he's never in it, instead roaming the museum.
Three: Wurmple, our current bug steward. His full name is 0118-999-881-999-119-725...3 after the phone number in that one Galarian comedy, because we got tired of our temporary pokémon having boring numbers. When he finally pupates he will be released along with all the other beautifly that are part of our current exhibit on metamorphosis.
Yam: Yamper, failed service pokémon who flunked out due to being too friendly and easily distracted. She now helps show our kids some of the possible tasks preformed by a service pokémon, and helps out in our school visits.
//sideblog, same mun as hauntkid, will follow from orphanedshadow.

About to lay down. I am working on a new little Arven and Gladion drawing, but I think I want this one to be digital before I post, so it won't be done today...buuuuuuut
As a treat before I go to bed.
(!!!Pullup mention!!!)
Tumblr media
(Feel free to use this icon if you want, but please credit me.)
Little Giacomo headcanons!
His headspace is around 2-3, on average, but he enjoys alot of stuff intended for a younger age regardless. (Like pacis, teething rings, probably even pullups and/or onsies)
When he's had a very rough day or just feels drained in general, his headspace can drop extra low, around 1-ish. Counting's too hard.
Atticus is his primary caregiver ('Da') that he shares with his older brother, Ortega.
Eri babysits whenever Atticus has anything to attend to (especially because I say he would do alot for the art and theater class), and the two boys have play-dates with Mela. It's more of a play-date with Mela and Ortega though, as Giacomo doesn't like being around others very much when little. He doesn't dislike it, but definitely appreciates Eri ('Mama') letting him color and play with stickers in her room, in her bed.
A very clingy, sleepy, and quiet baby. He would be content just watching movies all day and cuddling.
His favorite stuffed Pokemon is an Umbreon plushie. The 3 of them have matching Eevee p plushies. Atticus having an Espeon and Ortega with his Sylveon.
He is very bad with his words. It's not that he doesn't know what he wants to say, he just doesn't like saying it. Words are scary, and some of the words are much too big for a little guy to be using. Atticus doesn't mind though and is very patient with his little star.
He has alot of sensory issues and tends to carry headphones everywhere. Even when little, a pair is always within arms reach.
His favorite little foods are anything he doesn't have to use a fork or spoon to eat. He likes eating 'finger foods' like chips or crackers.
Atticus calls him 'little star' and Ortega is 'little prince.' They're both Atticus' "little treasure."
Giacomo's favorite 'sippy' is a bottle with Applin designs.
He's too embarrassed to wear anything else, especially infront of his brother, but Atticus insists he atleast have a pullup on when he's little. Especially with how scared he is of the big boy bathroom.
Carries around a pastel yellow baby blankie around like he'll simply die without it. It has yellow edges and it's white in the center with various yellow Pokemon designs on it. Mostly cute electric types like Pachirusu, Emolga, and Dedenne.
So sorry that's all I've got for today. I'm eepy. I wanted to get these out though. He's been occupying my mind alot.

.•★Head Canons + Things To Know★•.
★ Penny moved to Paldea with her dad when she was still young after her mother's death. Her father was Paldean so he brought her back to her grandparents' home.
★ She suffers from major depression and social anxiety. This is in part because of dysphoria and not wanting to be misgendered so she lives mostly online because she can be who she really is. The other part is her mourning her mother and the sudden move causing her to isolate.
★ Her father supports her and calls her by her name and fills her wardrobe with whatever clothes she wants. It does a lot to help her dysphoria and is the only reason she even manages to go outside at all.
★ Penny adores Eevees, the ability to transform into anything that suits them is admirable. She has raised many of her own and took their own desires into account when evolving them.
★ She doesn't have an Espeon currently because she's mostly been a recluse and doesn't often leave her room, certainly not enough during the daytime to allow for an Espeon Evolution. Her Room tends to be darkly lit and would probably count more as a Cave, so Umbreon is the only friendship evolution she can currently achieve.
★ Penny has made more friends online than in person or at school, including some trainers from Galar.
★ When Penny returned to Galar to serve her punishment for the whole Team Star thing, she was sent to live with her Maternal grandparents. They didn't approve of her identity and for the time she was living there, she was forced to cut and keep her hair short and wear masculine clothes and was only referred to by her dead name. It was a traumatizing experience and when she returned to Paldea, she became more reclusive than ever.
★ Her father became even more doting and supportive of her when she got back, to the point of being overbearing and embarrassing. But he helped her get her hair styled in a more feminine cut and bought her clothes to replace those her grandparents threw away.
★ While Penny is on HRT, she has no plans to get any surgeries done, her dysphoria more focuses on how others perceive her than on her physical form.
★ Penny loves anime and manga, it was what she filled most of her solitude with. She's far more in the content consuming than content creating side of fandoms, but she always comments on fics and stories she likes and will occasionally offer her own art or headcanons.
★ Penny is a fujoshi and the majority of the few drawings she does share are ship art of some kind between her favorite pairings. She has the tendency to be into Niche ships so her contribution is usually very appreciated.
★ Penny is very good with technology. She's able to hack into complicated systems like the League Point System of Paldea, as well as smaller systems like changing the amount of likes her favorite fanworks have to boost engagement and the creators' self esteem. She doesn't hack as much anymore, but she can find and fix almost any problem you might be having with some piece of technology. As long as its software/code based and not hardware based. She isn't nearly as knowledgeable about the physical part of a computer system, though its on her to-do list.
Bonus just for fun Headcanon that has no bearing on her actual character:
★Penny is Melli's descendant

Here's the next installment of the pokemon transformation list for my Get Along AU:
As I said in that post, dividing and limiting the settlements really helps with getting my inspiration flowing and keeping things consistent. This post we'll go over Diamond Clan, Pearl Clan, Ancient Retreat basically anyone outside of Jubilife Village (including Volo gonna bring him up again cause he belongs here)
Most of the clan members are unremarkable NPCs so they can be whatever pokemon found in their region. Personally I don't remember any of their names or personalities so I'm not picking distinct ones like last list. The Wardens aren't included under these rules obviously. The only really important characters are the leaders. I decided as an added challenge that I really wanted to make the leaders Hisuian specific pokemon. It puts a spotlight on their duty to the region and plays into what they can learn as pokemon.
The Diamond Clan are turned into pokemon found in the Crimson Mirelands. Adaman is a (Hisuian) Goomy. Turning into a Goomy is a bit of a nightmare for Adaman. He's slow and a bit slimy and falls asleep if he dries out. He's used to being the strong, confident, and overly punctual leader of Diamond Clan. As a Goomy, he has to learn to rely on his partner pokemon and clan if he wants to get anywhere at a decent pace. He struggles with how the transformation has ruined his reverence of Almighty Dialga's time, but he'll learn to adapt a different way to honor it.
The Pearl Clan are turned into pokemon found in the Alabaster Icelands. Irida is a Hisuian Zorua. I'm debating if the clan runs her out thinking she's causing a mass hallucination, but I think Glaceon, Espeon, and Flareon will stand up for her and eventually the Wardens will visit and back up the story as well. (As I'm sure everyone knows,) Zorua were created by human cruelty, and came back to inflict their own cruelty on humans. It's a vicious cycle Irida will learn and eventually work toward mending. As a Zorua, Irida is welcomed into the Zoroark packs as they see a lone baby Zorua. Even after they learn about the transformation, they still watch her because they've developed such a strong pack dynamic to survive in the wild. She has to fight her own biases against the Zoroark and Zorua, and grow to recognize the Zoroark line are sentient creatures with feelings and not just monsters. She will grow to understand that by previously ordering the clan to hunt down Zoroark and fostering the cycle of violence that they are more alike than they think, and it's her duty as leader to bring peace between these pokemon and humans.
Ancient Retreat is a bit of an odd case because it doesn't really have any wild pokemon (I don't count Enamorus). But! I did decide on which pokemon the two (kinda fitting Volo in here though he doesn't exactly fit) and coincidentally they both can be found in the Cobalt Coastlands.
Cogita is a Glameow. Something about her tired eyes, fancy clothes, regal demeanor (okay that's probably just me but), and the giant white flowers on her hat remind me of Glameow. (Debated making her a Hisuian Qwilfish but it didn't vibe.) She doesn't have much of her own story besides Enamorus hanging out with her as a baby pokemon, but I really want Volo and her to reconcile. She's willing to forgive Volo once he has his whole character arc and comes back begging for forgiveness from the one (idk religious? cultural?) personal connection he has. She's pretty cold to him in-game but I think they matter more to each other than they show. Kind of like cats.
speaking of cats because volo is a pathetic wet cat lmao
Volo is a Togepi as I said in the last post. He's out in the wilderness after failing his master plan and running off in disgrace. (I like to think he's hiding away on one of the tiny islands where Togepi can spawn as a joke.) His big character arc is about - you guessed it - redemption. He isn't out for everyone's forgiveness or even the MC's (considering they're gone lol), but he is pulled into growing into a better person. I don't have all the plans laid out but I like the idea of Melli and Ingo finding Volo out in the wild while his team of pokemon take care of him. Personally a fan of Melli and Ingo friendship so I think they'd work well in befriending Volo against his will and helping him grow to care about the current world and work through his complicated feelings about god rejecting/ignoring him. I do think his team of friendship based evolution pokemon actually being able to talk to him helps a lot in this regard.

Hey, could you cover the Pokémon for each of the Chain’s teams and why you chose them? Also each of the starters for them!
You can keep it to the ones who have had their Pokémon revealed for now as well.
Also, nothing will convince me that the Lord of the Mountain isn’t just Xernas! It just works too well in my brain.
Oooh thank you for the ask!!! Yeah hfgsdh when I was figuring out the worldbuilding, I had thought of Xerneas taking Satori's place. But as I was working out the region, I really wanted to keep some of the Zelda creatures, so Satori became its own Mythical pokemon, a Fairy/Ghost type! But since Mythicals are a level below Legendaries, it does fall under Xerneas's domain. Kinda like Celebi and Dialga both being Time-related.
But teams! I've got them listed below the cut. Most of the teams were chosen by vibes or connections to characters/features/things in the Zelda games, with lots of help from lots of friends fgdsh. Starters are a bit looser in this AU. There are official Professor-given starters, but it's much more common to find a pokemon to be your partner on your own.
Sky: His starter was Rufflet, who's now evolved into Braviary. He has a Honedge nicknamed Fi and an Altaria that's twins with an Altaria that Sun has. He has a few more pokemon, but he'll get his debut soon.
Four: We've met Shadow already, an Umbreon. He also has Red (Flareon), Green (Leafeon), Blue (Vaporeon), and Vio (Espeon). Which one is his starter? There's a fic coming for that one.
Time: His starter was a Cutiefly named Navi, who's since evolved into Ribombee. The only pokemon we've met of his so far is Saria, the Phantump he found in the Lost Woods, but he has a full battle team aside from her.
Legend: His starter was Scorbunny, who's now Cinderace. His Meowstic is twins with Fable's Meowstic, and we've met his Sableye briefly. After The Main Event, he gets a service pokemon, a Musharna named Marin. She doesn't count to his carry limit, but he has a full team that we'll meet in the next chapter.
Hyrule: His starter was Dedenne, and the rest of his team was introduced in Welcome to the League. Ariados, Fennekin, Klefki, Vivillon, and an Eevee egg... I wonder if that will hatch soon...
Wind: His starter was an Oshawott, who's now a Dewott. I posted a little snippet here where he met Piplup early on in his Gym Challenge adventure. That was a few years ago to present-day, so he has a full team now that will be introduced soon.
Twilight: His starter is Epona, a Mudbray that's now evolved into Mudsdale. It will come as no surprise that he has a Gogoat, along with a few other aptly-themed pokemon for his character fgsjkh.
Warriors: His starter was a Ralts, that's now evolved into Gallade. His Pyroar and Corviknight have been introduced in Ups and Downs, but he also has a full team that will show up soon.
Wild: His starter was Rowlet, who's now evolved into Decidueye. She's a shiny, because the color scheme of the shiny reminded me of Wild's cloak (thank you Karo for pointing that out to me!). His Flapple was one of his early catches as an Applin, and the rest of his team is Arcanine, Boltund, Sawsbuck, and Scraggy.

oooh I do wanna know!!
eevee.
okay!!! this backstory info is gonna be used for some emotional impact in a MUCH later scene in my fic, which'll come a lot later as in like a really really long time from now
it doesn't count as fic spoilers BUT if you want to keep all monty's backstory info a surprise for yourself then don't hit keep reading
specifically, still an eevee even after living for so long. monty's been a lonely guy his whole life, since he was a kid. he wasn't really well-liked since he's such a klutz. and a weirdo. nerd and all (in the 80s-90s when it was much more no bueno iirc, since i have yurushite set in 1995)
so he wouldn't have had a friend his whole life. maybe those kinds of friends who later replaced him, but not a real friend.
so he'd be an eevee who couldn't evolve into an espeon or umbreon(or sylveon ig) because of his lack of friendship. i guess you could say he could've just went for any of the other evolutions but shut up this is more emotional

Red's Journal - Entry 9/16
I had a dream in which I talked. I held a record in my hands and said to an unknown someone, "this is the best track ever made." I dropped the needle and my breath caught on the grooves, the song consuming me. Breath is universal yet unknowable, a constant that fluctuates whenever we force it up our throats. I don't use breath for much other than its foundational function - to keep me alive - yet for others, to speak is to live. And in dreams I am alive. I handed the record to the man before me and I woke up right after. I will never know if he listened to it. He never said a word.
Yesterday I lost track of time amidst missed communications and other comedies of effort, metaphoric mixing intended. I finally sent Will the email I owed him (yay). I finally cleaned my healing machine (it wasn't as gross as I thought it would be; it's just incredibly dusty from my previous lack of care). And I finally got around to the trails. I procrastinate on my monthly trail-checking because it feels high-effort and low-impact: People on average climb this mountain once a month, whereas it takes me a whole day to scout the paths and ensure they're secure. Yet every time I make the trip, I remember why I love this mountain so much. Most importantly, the cold. Heat and cold both embrace your body, just in different ways - and as much as I love the sun's hugs, enthusiastic and freeing, the cold grips you with a desperation with which I resonate. The cold yearns for you. It clings to you, solidifies your skin and all its secretions, and buries beneath them, begging you to acknowledge the power of its presence. It's hard for most to befriend it, but I, for one, appreciate its company.
After I smoothed out the paths and adjusted some boulders, I went back to training Blastoise. Not a lot to say about that one; it's just been more of the same. The reason I've been tunneling so hard on training, however, is in service to a daydream that keeps running through my mind. I foresee myself in the spotlight at the Johto Conference next spring, enveloped in the effervescence of a showcase battle. I can't envision my challenger, but I know they're an even match, and the sounds of Psychic, Surf, and Substitute sustain the excitement of the roaring crowd. Just a week ago or so the thought of battling before an audience would have turned my stomach… and here I am, fantasizing about it again. My moods change like weather 'round a Castform, I suppose.
I know that I've been dancing around a few pressing events - namely my visit to Blue's gym during my Pallet Town trip, and a rather damning text I received from Jasmine just last night. The truth is that I still need to process both events before committing any thoughts about them to paper. Give me some more time: I'm sure that I'll experience some kind of emotional swelling soon and it'll all spill out as it should.
This entry covers the last day and a half, so I'll end it there. Fridays are my favorite days because the weekend doesn't feel wasted just yet: There's still time to believe that I can make it count. And whether or not I do is Saturday's problem, not tonight's. So I'll curl up on the couch with the TV on and Espeon in my lap—maybe open a window to let the evening light in. And in this solitudinous twilight hour will I convince myself that everything is right with the world.

Unit Teambuilding - Eevee Elio & Selene
Oh I get it. Because Sun and Moon, Day and Night. Clever.
General Overview If you're familiar with last year's Eevee Day Variety Scouts, you're familiar with the structure of these alts. If you're not, the short is that all these Eevee Day pairs operate on the same general structures: field effect is set every sync, grants a team-wide benefit under that field effect, natural debuff in the kit with another debuff at 3/5, surprisingly strong sync damage, 2-bar status move of some variety, trainer move buffs two stats with one of them being shared with the whole team.
Elio and Espeon's iteration is Psychic Terrain, Status/Interference Immunity, -2 Sp Def naturally and -2 Atk on grid, Morning Sun, and shared crit with personal Sp Atk. Elio notably also has Aggravation 9 for sure-Confuse on Confusion, and Stop Hitting Yourself 5.
Selene and Umbreon's iteration is Dark Zone, Crit Immunity, -2 Def naturally and -2 Sp Atk on grid, Moonlight, and shared Sp Def with personal Atk. Selene also notably has Aggravation 1 on Bite for a 60% flinch rate.
These two differ from previous pairs in a few ways. First, note the -2 debuff rather than -1. That's because they only have single-target attacks. It's not great. They also focus on recovery, rather than application of a status condition or third debuff, which is...questionable but fine. They retain the central issue of "field effect does not last through to the next sync without ramping," so have fun dealing with that.
EX, Role, and Move Level? The EX is not strictly necessary, depending on how you use them. Having had the old Eevee Day pairs at 1/5-2/5 for a year, I can safely say their DPS and supportive effects are fairly sufficient, so move level is variable, though I tend to recommend at least 2/5 for some added benefits like MPR on trainer move. Their Role is Support. Their stats are not really high enough to make good use of that outside of Gauntlet, and I think like most Techs with only one damage type, Strike would be preferred, but this is what we get.
Teambuilding I'm opting against specific teams, because like all the Eevee iterations, these two are locked to on-type, which limits the variety of teams you can really aim for. Their debuffs do make them more versatile than last year's pairs, given that defensive debuffs are always valuable, but we'll talk a bit specifically.
Elio Elio's the newest top Psychic sync damage dealer, eclipsing Anni May by like 25% of her sync damage.  His DPS is fairly standard, but the -2 Sp Def aligns beautifully to the type, where everyone but Tate is specially focused. Sharing crit rate is also excellent for SS Lusamine, who wants to fast-ramp but needs +1 crit somewhere to make it work. Debuffing Atk as his secondary also aligns really nicely to Lucian, but using him at 3/5 to support Lucian at 3/5 is just clownshoes.
The bad news is, Elio's specifics make him a poor support for the type.  His trainer move's +1 crit being shared is the wrong trait, given that few psychics lack for crit, but several need the Sp Atk, including general options like Giovanni and Caitlin.  Sp Def debuffing is accomplished by Lucian, who is general pool and also gives speed buffs.  Many Psychic types are sync nukers, and don't want to give up their selling point to him just for Terrain.  Especially with Bianca right there in the general pool to provide it as needed, including on someone's sync.  Elio partners best with DPS pairs, but unlike Lucas and Lyra, there aren't many Psychic types that thrive on DPS.  They're mostly sync oriented.  And that's before the high count of transformations, like Giovanni and SS Lusamine, who demand sync. Elio functions more as another damage dealer, and to be honest, he doesn't impress me too much.
I'll also mention that, if you're really ambitious, Elio does have a Support Role.  His bulk isn't exactly impressive even with it, but the presence of Aggravation 9 Confusion and Stop Hitting Yourself does mean he can align with Will, who has the same disruption and the ability to hit with high DPS through Stored Power. Or you can go for a recovery tank, picking up +1 to both defenses on TM, debuffing Atk of the opponent per hit, and Safety Tether. It's not the worst approach for Gauntlet, but is likely too slow acting for CS or High Score.  I wish they had given it better bulk, because man, this could've been significant.
Selene In contrast, Selene's damage is fairly standard among the newest Dark types, and she has a lot more modern competition.  Physical Dark also consists of Akari, who does the Zone thing better and has way better DPS, and SC Zinnia, who has hilarious utility and a bonkers sync.
Selene's stat boost is Sp Def, which is only specifically relevant to NC Calem, whose Master Passive fixes physical bulk but not special.  The Dark Zone application on sync is nice, but very similar to Elio, many Dark types are sync nukers.  Sidney, Masked Royal, Nanu, even options like SC Zinnia; they all prefer taking sync, and only a few have great DPS. I think her biggest win is really her compressing Nanu's roles. Bite is a -2 Def move with 60% flinch rate, that's really good. Staggering 2 Marshal with Rock Smash is pretty good in Gauntlet, and this is doubling his every effect. That said, 3/5 for a flinch bot with some good defense debuffing isn't exactly what I'd want from premium.
Much like Elio, there's also a tank build. Selene has Support Role, and some survival traits in Safety Tether and debuffing Sp Atk per hit. the problem is that Aggravation is still her best trait, which makes it really hard to pick up Safety Tether without giving up better tools. Still, the ability to deny moves entirely feels a lot more valuable as a support pair. Lodge Blue does it. She just won't provide much offensive buffing support, which is something physical Dark tends to need pretty badly. So I'm not as convinced the tank role is her best option.
Final Thoughts Both Elio and Selene struggle to find any real foothold within their type as a supportive option. They stand out more as damage, which is an odd approach. They definitely work, but Psychic and Dark weren't truly hurting for damage. I do think Elio makes out a little better here. Optimal Psychic play involves a lot of AoE no penalty stuff that doesn't do so well single-target, and Elio's got plenty of fire-power on single-target damage, so he's quite nice to add, especially given the +1 crit for SS Lusamine to ease her rotations, or immediately topping off crit for NC Bede without taking Team Sharp Entry. Selene feels a little less impactful for her type, since Dark is pretty solved for at present, but has nice generalist tools thanks to Bite's 60% flinch and -2 Def effect. Neither is exceptional, but neither is dead weight.
Their problem is...they're Kris. Lucas and Lyra did well for themselves because they attached to the dominant support in their type and playstyle. Lucas perfectly complemented SS Morty for Sun, and has only really been dethroned with NC Leaf. Lyra perfectly complemented SS Kris for Rain, giving the speed she needed and debuffing Sp Def, and was only dethroned by NC Serena. Elio and Selene don't have that. There's still no Psychic Terrain support (Caitlin/Gothitelle when?), and Selene doesn't offer much to NC Calem given her sad lack of AoE. So they're more like Kris than Lucas or Lyra, and I do think that's ultimately to their detriment. The debuffs are good utility in a general sense, but being only single-target, you'd really need to ask yourself if the idea of a debuff bot is sufficient justification to pull something like this.

Kianga approaches the booth and extends the glitter covered tickets to Looker. He takes them from him and counts how many he found.
"Nice job, 8 tickets. Take a look at what prizes I have and take your pick."
He sweeps a hand over the displayed prizes.
"This isn't the end, though. Head to the port, but don't go aboard a ship. Instead, climb on a pokemon who surfs to find the last secret rumored to be hidden there."
Dratini Plushie with a pamphlet - 8 tickets Rare candy - 5 tickets Razz Berry Saffpop - 3 tickets Figurine set of the legendary birds - 7 tickets Ghost-type key chain - 1 ticket Copy of one of Sabrina's movies - 6 tickets Pikachu cotton candy - 2 tickets Poffin treat for Pokemon - 4 tickets
Pamphlet Text: This pamphlet is a three fold with a photograph of a dratini across the front, sponsored by ‘The Friends of Fuchsia’. Inside is information on the dratini of the Safari Zone, including their preferred environments, habits, and history. There is a section on proper care and the warning that these creatures are not pets and certainly not to be gifted as prizes at Game Corners. The last section in the pamphlet describes the dangers of poaching these creatures face.

The offer of another secret prize had Kianga's interest, but first he'd take his pick at what his Espeon, Lavender, was looking at in the form of a Poffin treat, some Pikachu Cotton Candy for himself, and two ghost-type key chains. He'd give the latter to his sister since she had a fascination with collecting things like the Corviknight she probably was.
"Thank you for hostng his. It was a lot of fun."
With that said, Kianga headed for the harbor, likely to ask for help from the local pokemon while he went surfing and looking.
---
-- KIANGA GRANDCREST receives a Poffin treat, Pikachu Cotton Candy, and two Ghost-Type Keychains in the form of a Snorunt Line and Gastly Line.
The Poffin treat is suitable for his partner Espeon, Lavender, and is in fact her favorite flavor. She speaks of it being soft and almost like tasting a cloud.
The Pikachu Cotton Candy has a striking taste to it, but it's soft and shareable with his partner pokemon. It's also got Pikachu's signature red cheeks and tail somehow made into it.
The two Keychains are to be divided amidst his family being he doesn't have a use for them, but he's sure they'll make cute additions to his sister and cousin's keyrings.
