I _really_ wanted a JC Leyendecker inspired piece when I started this bedroom (b/c when you move to a new country for love why not create your new space as Extra as you want it?) but I couldn't find anything that fit :(

Two of them are basically series of short stories on a common theme, two have plot (and I should really get on that). One I was cross-posting over from fanfiction.net and got distracted before I was done (*blush*). One is an original novel that is languishing out of lack of interest. From myself, and other readers. this is a very, very bold statement that i can 100% co-sign. i went from being devastated it didnt get a 5th season to being like... what s4? oh black sails, my favorite three-season-long show. if only ALL shows could end with a campfire heart-to-heart and loaded gazing from across a river. perfection.

Danny Matheson - We all know Kripke messed this whole plot arc up I didn’t expect to miss him.

Morgana JFC that woman can do whatever she wants to me and I’ll just say thank you, and maybe courtesy.

The Character You Relate To The Most:

Kirk - I have a bad habit of feeling responsible for everyone and trying to control things that I can’t, and I often look before leaping - bad life choices.

Miles (or Jeremy) - often painfully pragmatic; doing what has to be done then they messed up his character arc too

Gaius - watching while you’re favorite two idiots continually do stupid things, and they’d be so much better if they just did what you told them to do in the first place.

The Character You’d Slap:

In the reboot, Nayota Uhura. In TOS, Kirk because that man can’t keep a shirt on (or intact)

Rachel Matheson - so so many slaps. My hand would fall off before I was done having slaps for her.

Uther. What is the heaviest piece of something solid I can use to slap him with?! Maybe I can slap him with Rachel.

Nora. I was good with her at the beginning, but then meh, just meh.

Gwen. Again, started great then I’m just not sure what happened...

A Character You Didn’t Like At First But Do Now:

So this spot has to go to SPOCK because I didn’t get it at first - at all. Then, I grew up, and my brain cells started functioning so, that happened.

Tom Neville - the pilot was a rough intro for him (not that he’s a good guy or anything, but...) I really enjoyed him as the show went on though.

Again, Morgana - I don’t know what my problem was at first, but she is ALL THINGS.

1. ladies and gentlemen we’re floating in space (silverflinthamilton) - my latest longer work! it was so much fun to write, which totally caught me off guard. writing as thomas should have made me anxious because i’ve never done it before, but when i got around to it, i couldn’t stop??? i just. love my thomas so much haha is that weird to say? and it’s always fun writing antagonistic relationships, ESPECIALLY ones that are filled with UST, and it’s EVEN MORE FUN writing UST antagonistic relationships where they secretly start to care about each other khgjfhg my JAM

2. i - mwahahahahaahahahahahah-- sorry. i’ve never written anything before where people commented things like “HOW DARE YOU??????” “WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?????” and man. MAN. does that feel awesome mwahahahaha. i loved writing this because it was a totally different tone and style (and the sequel was even more different!!) and it made a real nice change. this is the fastest fic i think i’ve ever written, too? only a few hours! for such pain! mwahahahaha

3. not down on any map - god. 3x3 is my favorite episode (of any tv show ever???? yes.) and you all know i’m a big big fan of weirdly intimate non-sexual touching. the image of them, as exhausted and thin and pale and relieved as they are in those last shots of 3x3 -- like that, but also entwined and asleep on flint’s little cot all alone in the shadowy corner of his cabin, just...FUCK ME UP

4. the straight walk home - the cowboy au gets an automatic rec all the time because this thing was such a fucking B I T C H i need it read by exactly one thousand people a day. also, whatever, longest complete story i have ever written, huge accomplishment for me, an aspiring writer, yada yada, whatever. it’s a b i t c h and you should read it. 

5. st. augustine is that way - i was originally going to leave this off because i thought it would be too ~expected~ but then i felt horribly guilty to my stupid orange morons and all the friends they’ve accumulated (the mule, the cat, the other cats, the boss, a baby, etc). if i’m in desperate need to have them being in utter love with each other, starting something new obviously means i have to go right from the beginning, and sometimes that’s the fun! but with the orange fics, i can write silver cleaning flint’s fingernails for him while he reads or flint watching silver get drunk and try to put his trouser on but is trying to put his whole leg in the pant leg that’s been sewn closed and he’s not getting why it won’t fit, and it will automatically be filled with affection. they’re so fond of each other and i’m so fond of them. it’s become my home.

Jesus, right!? I think JKR said it wasn’t polyjuice potion, which kind of ruined the ‘he must be alive somewhere’ idea, but fuck that, tbh. Fake news. Sexy 1920s Colin Farrell is definitely still alive and just pleasantly, hurt/comfort-ingly broken.
