The different parts of Gotham War not lining up at all in terms of plot, character motivation and characterization is bad enough, but now that DC is suddenly trying to explain when other titles like Detective Comics and Batman and Robin are taking place in relation to Gotham War it gets even worse because now all of these storylines make so much less sense too.

Trucy's voice sounds so innocent and earnest, but if you look closely, there's strong hint of mischief hidden behind her smile as she shows Phoenix the letter she's holding in her hand. To be precise, it's a love letter, signed anonymously, one that Trucy found mysteriously addressed to her only this morning.

And what would be a better idea than showing Phoenix? Honestly, Trucy doesn't know how he might react at all, but she's sure it'll be well worth seeing his reaction. She is his darling daughter, after all. Though maybe there's a part of her... that's genuinely curious as to his thoughts on it all, too.

"To be honest, I'm not very impressed... but don't you think the effort they put in is worth responding to? I wonder who the writer might be?"

if the major has proven to be anything in his short years of living, it is inconsiderate of the feelings of others. something he demonstrates in his utter contempt of the people around him, the deep misanthropy entwined with the blood coursing through his veins. and, more specifically, how he regards the other in his presence with a grating and biting cruelty, coming as easily to him as breathing.

From the odd pattern of the creature's cursed energy, and the fact that the other patrons of the bar could see him, it wasn't quite a cursed spirit. Now isn't that intriguing?

Senju doesn't know much about Catalina at all. Honestly, coming here at all might've been a huge waste of time. But how could rumors about a real-life witch not catch her attention?

Her brothers probably think she's being childish, but who cares? It doesn't matter what they think. It's not like she's getting her hopes up about the magic being real - it just sounds like a fun way to pass the time, and Senju has always had a... strange fixation on the supernatural, to an extent. It's subdued, not even close to an obsession, but when she thinks about things like other worlds and strange powers, something in her seems to stir from deep within...

Well, either way, she's here now. Senju enters Catalina's shop with a skip in her step, her cheerful appearance clearly at odds with the image one would expect of a gang member.

continuing from lrb, i actually am SUPER into lara as horrified/confused outsider pov. i find it very funny if like, either in victor's fd or in the ludger ending, ludger/victor just sometimes think of their first elle whenever they talk about their daughter and it makes sense to the party and julius (if they're alive, for victor) but just sounds weird to anyone who wasn't in on the loop.

i can even envision ludger maybe still being in touch with nova and nova being like "oh..." about daughter!elle and lara is SO confused, what does everyone else know about her daughter that she doesn't?

and if it's victor, it obviously never gets enough to be a problem before victor goes off and murders everyone, but i still like thought of like, lara being thoroughly creeped out by the fractured dimensions, by knowing they're fractured, by knowing what victor is capable of.

if it's the ludger ending though, she probably never finds out...
