"A question? Uhh, hang on. Let me think."
For whatever reason, not really knowing what to expect, Senju hadn't prepared a question or anything like that. Hmm... what to ask?
A part of her wonders if she should ask about Toman. Or maybe she could ask about her future career as a star...? It's surprisingly hard to think about something when you've been put on the spot! But eventually, reflecting on Catalina's words about the cards and respecting them, she settles on what she wants to ask.
"What should I do... about Takeomi? How can I get him to take me seriously?" It is something she's been bothered about, so it feels like a question that should be alright. If she finds Cat's answer helpful, then maybe she can come back and ask something else, something she's thought harder about that's especially close to her heart.
...Or not. Opening up so much to a stranger, especially one who has financial incentive to keep her coming back, doesn't seem like such a good idea. But Senju finds herself wanting to trust Cat, for some reason.
"First reading will be free of charge." She had a method to her madness, no worries. It was always good to calm any doubts if she did not charge off the bat. She turned towards one of the cabinets she had near the register, removing a leather case which she flipped open. Exposing a deck of cards, she got to work, "Before I begin, I'll have you know that tarot themselves tell the form of a story."
"Most people don't pay attention to that aspect and I think that's why sometimes it's hard for some people to read the cards." The words are spoken but her hands seem to move faster. While doing a quick overhand shuffle, she switches to the iconic faro method before holding the deck in her hand. "People also tend to use the cards for the wrong things. Disrespecting them can bring misfortune in your life, but nobody takes it seriously. "
"After all," She places them down for a moment before she folds her arms once more, "Misfortune has a different definition for everyone."
"So." She leans back, smile still present on her face, "What question do you have for the cards?"

and while i wasn't sure how i felt at first and things could still change i've gotta say. i am absolutely vibing with this first chapter! enjoyed it a lot and very excited for chapter two, i really hope it lives up to expectations!

Sanzu has never bothered to spend much time with Takashi, or any of Mikey's "friends." ...As far as he's concerned, they're no friends of Mikey's at all - but he would be blind not to see that Mikey cares about them, so he tolerates them for his sake.
Sometimes, the thought of how close they are causes a bitter jealousy to sneak up on Sanzu like a snake, cold and unpleasant. But there's no need for a feeling like that - not when they don't know Mikey like he does; not really. Not the real him.
But because of all that, it's somewhat surprising to him when Takashi seemingly seeks him out after the latest Toman meeting. He can't imagine what it could possibly be about, though it stirs something like a dull curiosity inside him - one that doesn't show on his face at all, his lips, much like his true feelings, hidden behind his mask.
"Mitsuya. Did something happen? The fifth division is available for you, if you need it."

Mikey's wearing a childish kind of annoyance on his face as he looks at Hanma as if he's a puzzle he's trying to figure out - staring intensely and furrowing his brows in frustration in a way that makes him look like a kid. It's an expression that those around Mikey have seen hundreds of times before... but maybe it's out of place here, directed at Hanma; the one who'd made life a living hell for Toman on so many occasions before.
That doesn't seem to be stopping Mikey today, though. It's hard to tell what he's thinking just from looking at his face, of course, but...
"I know you're hiding something from me." It should be a serious accusation, but the impact is ruined by the whine in Mikey's tone. "What's your deal, anyway? There's gotta be something that makes you tick."
