— the cottage
it's small and worn down, but well cared for. leon said that the first hancock to settle on what would become golden ranch built it, lived in it, and the only reason the lodge was built was because the stone foundation would take too much time and money to move. so instead the cottage lives in one of the fields, a memory of the past and a promise to those who came before. over the years, maggie would request animals that couldn't live at the barns, and they'd go to live at the cottage, goats, chickens, ducks, a lamb or two, all growing up together on the near play farm that they'd built for the little girl. sometimes the wildflowers that surround it are too unruly, making it hell to get into the actual cottage, but most of the time, there's a wrangler assigned to keep the place tidy and care for the animals.

Happy 1st anniversary to my favorite sad grown-ups of all the time!
To celebrate such date I decided to redraw one of my first sky fanarts I ever made. The fanart that literally breathed live into this blog. But this time I used all headcanons I made about them and my human Rose design.

🌹 Rose
You have already seen how a man beaten by life takes care of an innocent child dynamically. But are you ready for the fact that a child will take care of six men beaten by life?
So basically all the human Rose lore is: "The Rose appeared as a human in the Starlight Desert because the Little Prince treated her like a human."
She has a difficult character. Once she argued with Narcissist for so long that it ended in both of them being hoarse.
Has problems with her new body. Especially with walking. That’s why, Soldier usually carries her on his shoulders
Likes to write small poems in her free time.
💡 Lamplighter
Lamplighter used to be a very popular profession. There were a lot of lanterns and a lot of lamplighters around. But with the beginning of the storm, their number began to decrease.
It's safe to say that our Lamplighter is like a unicorn. The last of its kind.
He was the last thing left of the old Golden Wasteland. People saw him as a light of hope. He was under a lot of pressure.
He didn't fell. He jumped.
In the Starlight Desert, he still feels the importance of his work. But he is not quite sure why.

Becoming a Valley champion was their childhood dream.
Even if they say they’re fond of more elegant activities, like skating or performing they’re a genius hockey player
Seriously, when this mx gets on ice they’re ready to KILL
Narci is really competitive.
Unlike any other champion in Valley Narci lived really far from colosseum. It was hard for him to get on trainings.
✨Star collector
Timid Bookworm’s cousin. But they aren’t really close. The only thing that united them was summer vacation at the Sanctuary Islands.
His business was really successful! Collector traveled across entire sky world selling stars to people.
Considers himself as №1 enemy of Forgotten Ark.
🍵Soldier
I think @ slink-a-dink already told us everything we need to know about this man.
🕊 Ruler
First one to get to the Starlight Desert. Owns reputation of everyone’s grandpa.
All living things like him for some reason. Even desert’s space manta likes to rest under his island.
Atheistic. GOD CANNOT BE A BIRD.
Ah yes. He has a favorite bird. Their name is Hamlet. Don’t tell the others.
📖Geographer
Has an ADHD. That’s the reason why it was extremely hard for him to concentrate on his work in the Vault.
Easily gains new interests and hobbies.
Daydreams about traveling across the sky world A LOT.
Keeper of all table games the gang plays.

3. What is your favorite genre?
Traditionally fantasy. It is my staple genre! Lately tho I've been wanting to try out other stuff and not veering as much toward it. The one I seem to enjoy the most right now is historical fiction, particularly if it has some like folk lore/magical realism/mythology events. Essentially historical fiction/fantasy 😆 The Witch's Heart, Lavinia, Circe, She Who Became the Sun, and even Finn Mac Cool come to mind!

12. Did you enjoy any compulsory high school readings?
Nothing especially stands out. I liked elementary/middle school required reading and a lot of my college required reading, but high school was a bit more of a dud. I do think I remember enjoying Antigone tho I recall very little of the story. I remember having to read the Great Gatsby and The Oxbow Incident and absolutely not enjoying those.

the clement family is old money. older than old money. old money before they even got to america (circa 1673) kind of old money. julia & christopher clement had cyrus first, their golden boy who was the most spoiled of the bunch, and continues to be. when they discovered that they couldn't have any more children, julia decided that adoption was the answer to her need to have a large family. nashford, who resents his name entirely, was adopted next, growing up to be the most down to earth of the siblings, aspiring to become a university professor. they decided that rosemary would be their last child. rosie also took to caring the way that her older brother did, however, she decided to take the route of art, convincing her parents to built a massive art center, which she works at now. the last clement child wasn't planned, rosemary got really sick when she was nearly two, ending up in the children's ward. while the clement's were in the hospital, a baby was rushed in, left behind at a fire station, a girl, whose mother had made the difficult decision to walk away from her child. julia got word of the child and decided to visit her, since she was all alone. it was christopher who insisted that they take her in as well, sealing her as the final clement child. yasha has never known what she wanted to do, and lives off her parents money much like her eldest brother.

while none of my 'one for my enemy' muses are canon in any way possible, i've crafted my own versions of what the story, what the muses and what the relationships of the daughter of baba yaga and the sons of koschei the deathless would look like.
every year since i can remember (1998 to be exact) i have watched practical magic. since 2016 i've made an owen's woman to write for my annual 'halloweenie' muse drop. this has always bounced between kylie and antonia, the grown up daughters of sally owens. this year however, i decided to try my hand at making my own version of gillian owens.
suvi alora nygard. i've stretched it a bit thin on this one because TECHNICALLY suvi is an original character. she is written based off the suvi nygard in my second dungeons and dragons campagin, welcome to noveria. in canon, suvi is a half orc storm barbarian. she loves the ocean, has recently married a stars druid and is the avatar of the goddess of the sea, ingrid the terrible. she's a dmpc that my party dragged around for all their adventures so she's my original character but because she's an adaptation of that character, i consider her a more canon character.
