💫 What is your love language?
i think my main receiving love languages are physical touch and quality time. i’m a very affectionate person, catch me cuddling up with my besties cause im so touch starved 🧍🏽and then i like spending time with my loved ones. doing literally whatever, we could be sitting in silence doing our own thing, or just talking, or doing something together. it doesn’t matter to me as long as im spending time with them yk?
and then my giving love languages are def gift giving (i live for spoiling my friends and partner, it’s my absolute favorite thing) and words of affirmation. if you ask any of my friends they’ll tell you i go off on spouts of love for them and sometimes it gets to a point where they’re like “dude, we get it, you love us, shut up 😭” /pos + quality time but thats mentioned above

there were many things chan thought he knew.
1. people liked attention.
2. people liked the idea of love.
3. and people are afraid of love.
after many trials and errors, the now twenty three years old has figured out; these are the ground rules of love.
he had given love many chances before, always busy satisfying a person who never returned any kind of affection for him.
at first, he thought it was the norm. after a while, he decided he wanted something outside of the norms.
so he willingly broke his heart, every damn day, every damn month, every damn year, with a new person around his arm.
until you couldn't stand it anymore.
that night he was still crying himself to sleep from another heartbreak but was interrupted by your drunken mumbles and angry knocks on his apartment door.
his door opened, and you embraced him with flushed cheeks, the alcohol scent hit your neighbor's nose in seconds.
"chan-ssi, when it will be my turn?" you mumble into his chest, and chan just stands there, his arms awkwardly up in the air, but he kept his feet firm on the ground to prevent the both of you from losing balance.
"when," you almost topple over, trying to point an accusing finger at your hot crush. "when will you let me have your heart?" you asked, your voice, your actions, everything indicated how drunk you were. but chan knew you longer than today and saw the sincerity of your words in the stars within your eyes.
"i..." chan barely managed to say before your lips pressed against his. your actions were gentle, as if you finally gained coordination in your intoxicated body. something in the boy in front of you wanted to return the kiss, but he soon felt your full body's weight on him, catching you on time to place you down on the couch.
he was going to leave you there, searching for a blanket somewhere before your smaller hand wrapped around his wrist.
"i promise, chan-ssi, i won't break it like them," you said, looking him directly in his eyes before they drooped and you fell asleep.
that is how chan ended up wide awake in the early morning hours, his eyes fixed on your sleeping figure, letting your words sink in.
the cold beer can in chan's hand has been opened, but the male could not bring himself to drink away this critical moment of his life. his hands are wrapped around the can as the four a.m. air messes with his hair. your soft snoring was still very audible despite chan standing on the balcony. it made him crack into a smile.
you were simply so you; so unapologetically, chaotically, stubbornly, beautifully yourself.
your drunken confession spirals in his head, while chan thinks about where it all started, the moment he started loving you. chan shakes his head at the thought. impossible.
he has always loved you, the moment you crashed into his peaceful life, he knew you were going to be his first and last love in this and every other lifetime.
he knew, because you were naturally the best thing that has ever happened to him. the one who quiets his overwhelming thoughts, the one who reminds him to take a deep breath, and the one who steals that breath right away.
you were the storm in his heart, but also the peace.
chan believed that you were sent as a blessing, and he never took that for granted. he believed there was no way you would make a mess like him into your lover.
but now, you are laid down on his couch, wrapping yourself around his favorite cushion, and chan decides that from now on, he will love you the way you've always deserved.
