Kingdom (2019 - Present)

Kingdom tells the story of Crown Prince Lee Chang during tumultuous times in the Kingdom of Korea. His father, the king, has fallen ill, and the queen, Lee Chang's stepmother, has forbidden all but herself and her father, one of the nation's top officials, from seeing the king. In an effort to uncover the secrets the queen is keeping, Lee Chang rides with his faithful servant, Moo Young, to the south of the country to meet with the doctor who treated the king.

There, he discovers a mysterious plague is wreaking havoc on the people.

When the nation's officials turn their backs on the people of the south, Lee Chang, joined by doctor Seo Bi and sharpshooter Young Shin, must fight the plague himself while uncovering the mystery inside the palace.Palace.

Kingdom of Korea-era zombie fighting: 15/10

Badass women characters: 10/10

A political figure who actually wants the best for the country: 12/10

Super powerful political family that will stop at nothing to hold onto that power: 10/10

A show that isn't afraid to kill off your favorite characters: 10/10

Basically, Kingdom is for everybody. There is political intrigue, family drama, birth mystery, murder, AND zombies! Don't forget a character who learns to be good and a badass feminist. I binge-watched the whole series in one night (who needs sleep?), but I will say:

If you don't like gore, this show is NOT for you! Otherwise, why haven't you watched it already?

I went to Kingdom’s Toronto concert. At the end when they were doing a group photo, fans handed them multiple flags. One of the members, to free up his hands, SHOVED THE ASEXUAL FLAG DOWN HIS PANTS.

This unintentional irony has got to be the funniest thing I ever saw at a kpop concert.
