Super Smash Bros: Nintendo All-Stars!

One of the games that shaped my whole perspective of video games! I wanted to pay a proper tribute to the original art since it doesn’t get enough love!

Super Smash Bros (64 to be precise), means a lot to me and reminds me of a time when I was young and curious of the world. Every time I watch the intro, I still feel that sense of amazement and wonder. Seeing Iconic Nintendo characters come together to battle it out will always bring a special kind of feeling to my soul. The art direction & Music of this game also amazes me because of how particularly abstract they handled the creative direction despite the limits. I wish I was a fly on the wall to witness this game being made from beginning to end…

Now that I am older (and still growing), the series has became one of the biggest crossover franchises in history. And despite the ups & downs this series has made me felt, I’ll always come back to this game to remind me how much it’s shaped my love for video games~🌟

Q, Why is Mario there? A, Because it is easier to see the size of Mario than Donkey Kong.

Q.1マスどれくらい？

A.マリオがだいたい150cmくらいだからだいたい1マスで25cmで 2マスは50cmくらいです。

Q.How big is one square?

A.Because Mario is about 150cm. One square is about 25cm. 2 squares is about 50cm.

Q.どうやって調べたの参考にしたのとかあります？

A.最初にザ・スーパーマリオブラザーズ・ムービーのキャラクター身長対比表を参考にして

巨人のドシンは昔やったことがある。というか友達の家に集まってやるゲームがスマッシュブラザーズやドンキーコングしかなくてビリになってしまって1人だけ抜けるようにして帰って、「そんなにやりたいゲームじゃないな…」と思ってゲーム屋さんに行ったら巨人のドシンがあって、パッケージの巨人の顔が私に似ている気がした。ゲームキューブのメモリも5000円くらいでゲームをやるのは本当にお金がかかると、買ってもらう時冷や汗をかいて手をグーにして握りしめていた。正座してゲームを進めていくと、村の住民のお手伝いをしてハートマークを集めるとになる。悪いことをしたらドクロのマークが溜まって、巨人が大きくなったりする。私が進めてたのはここまででクリアしたことがないのとマークを集めるのが楽しくてそこにお母さんにねだって買ってもらった価値があったと思った。やかんで沸かしたぬるくなった麦茶が美味しかった。外から豆腐屋さんの笛の音がした。

ゲームキューブは見た目がちいこくてかわいい。きょじんさんというハンドルネームでsnsをやってたことがある。みんなそのハンドルネームに合わせて、普段より少しだけあたたかく優しかった。
