Starter call! Yep, you saw correctly. I've been making progress in my drafts, and I realized since it was mentioned the other day that I function a little better under pressure, so, yes.

These will be a little shorter (and I'm going to be a little strict with myself on that so that I actually get them written), so expect roughly a paragraph and if it stems from an idea that we've spoken about in plotting or whatnot, then it might be a little longer. But generally, they will be shorter starters that knowing me, will become lengthier threads as the replies progress! This is also welcome to non-Genshin blogs, but then please remember that I do not have any verses outside of Yelan's game canon, and so I'll be looking at your Genshin verses!

Hi friends! I want to apologize for my inconsistency, a lot of irl things have been happening that have been hard to balance. And I'm sure to some of you this may not come as a surprise: I'm here to announce an official hiatus for this blog.

BUT!!! I will return this summer!!!

I've been dealing with a lot of personal grief and pressure these last few years but today I got the first bit of good news I've gotten in a really long time. Really good things are coming my way, and I need to focus all of my time on preparing to move and start a new job. Once I'm settled in (probably around July/August), I'll make a full and hopefully permanent return to write with all of you lovely people!! Thank you to everyone who has been so patient and understanding ;; you guys are the GOATs. I look forward to coming back bigger and better than before, and am grateful for all of those who've stuck around with me. :>

And bl*nkshippers--dni, I will block you. I shouldn’t have to say this but obviously bl*nkshipping is NOT something Ingo and Emmet do and is something Pokemon will NEVER do.

And if you’re new here/haven’t, please go to Bulbapedia and read Emmet’s (and Ingo’s) pages, or otherwise engage with the actual source material. It might be hard to acquire Gen 5 games if you don’t have them, or make it to them in the Battle Subway, and/or you might have reasons you cannot get PLA, but YouTube is FULL of Lets Plays that can show you Submas in the games, and to make things easier, @1863-project put together a compilation of videos that contain their canonical appearances! Please do not only look at fandom interpretations and assume that’s how these characters are! Often times fanon has NOTHING to do with the source material, and as of late it seems Submas is getting a ton of works that just throw canon plot points and canon characterization out the window all for the sake of making Submas as miserable and/or unhinged as possible. All too often, despite what they look like visually, these characters are no longer Ingo and Emmet.

There’s is plenty of room for interpretation with Submas, considering what we do know about them in canon is very little compared to many other characters, but there’s a difference between an interpretation or headcanon such as the Nimbasa Trio (Submas and Elesa have only interacted in one cutscene in PokeMas so far), and something like deciding Emmet is intentionally mean and will physically/emotionally harm people if not kept in check by Ingo when in-game he’s just blunt and competitive, but otherwise very supportive of others, including when defeated!

If all you want to do is make Submas as angsty and edgy ooc as possible, you might want to consider creating an OC instead.

i've never really nailed down a proper time for when i have doc's post-trilogy canon happening, it's always just x date post return to his present with the family. so i've been thinking about it and i needed something solid (for myself at least) to play off of with headcanons, with setting details, all that fun stuff.

so i think i'm leaning towards '87 or later. (of course this is all subject to change with whatever happens in a thread - i'm still totally open for him being wherever, whenever in his timeline).

so if his main default verse is set around 1987 or so, he's turning (chronologically) seventy-seven. officially, as far as the records are concerned, he's only sixty-seven this year.
