You always write Neuvillette as the reader’s husband and that just makes me crave a backstory for these two. Cause I just KNOW that even if the reader is the more openly affectionate and playful of the two, it was probably a “they fell first, he fell harder” situation where the reader was patiently pining for a while and then Neuvillette was suddenly hit with a train of feelings.

i like to imagine that one day you were just a friend who he knew had a crush on him (but he thought it was harmless so he let it happen). and the next day he woke up in a cold sweat, pearls clutched, chest heaving because oh god he had a crush on you too

and i also like to imagine it was over something dumb like you were talking about something so mundane but then he couldn't stop thinking about it and you to the point where he had trouble sleeping. also, he wasn't able to figure out all the complex feelings he was getting and wasn't used to the idea of love at all so you two played the awkward platonic dance for literally AGES until furina or clorinde got sick and tired of it.

they probably schemed together to get neuvillette to do the whole accidental confession thing because he was wayyyyy too clueless about how to approach it himself. or it went something like this:

N: "i like you."

Y: "i know."

N: "you know?"

Y: "you're not very subtle..."

N: "could you please at least pretend to be surprised?"

Y: "...oh my gosh! the man who buys me flowers on his way to work every morning has a crush on me?!"

N: "nevermind."

(Baydrake has a little cousin and he's super friendly LOL) Freklek came to a screeching halt upon seeing the fairy. He was pretty sure she was a fairy anyway. His eyes went wide with wonder and the adolescent dragon leaned his head down to see her better. "Hi! Um, you're really pretty, Miss Fairy!" He gave her his best smile, doing his best to look nice and polite.

Haz`le jumped in surprise upon seeing the little dragon. She shifted uncomfortably. Due to her background she had never been comfortable with dragons, (with some exception.) But this one seemed nice and... looked really familiar. She couldn't help but shrink back a little.

"Uh, h-hello," she said to the dragon, who, while not the biggest dragon she had seen was still much bigger than her. "Thank you. Uh, I'm Haz`le," she said.

Most creatures who worked for the Dark Dragon were not so polite, but she was still cautious.

Circles!! I really find drawing nice and sketchy circles easy. If you wanted characters, I'd say Sans lol Mainly because he's the first goober I learned how to draw, so he's the easiest (Besides Flowey)

2023 was an interesting one! full of ups and downs! i think in many ways i really stepped into my own...or began the process of it so that i can really put my best foot forward into 2024! i've worked really hard this last year but i plan to work harder next!! i got lots i want to do!! im not a huge new year resolution person just cause i tend to always have goals and things i work towards throughout the whole year, but a recent one is reading more plays and novels again! i also want to finish a script i've been working on!

🍝 — favorite food(s)?

Oh man, I could make a long, long list! But my top 3 would have to be:

Salmon, especially grilled or seared (made even better if it's butter-basted). I've also had it in burger patty form with teriyaki sauce. A strange concept, but it was delicious! I also would love to try salmon sashimi at some point.

Shrimp Alfredo; something about that combo makes my mouth so happy.

Soup. And I mean any soup. It's warm, filling, you can put pretty much anything in it! And it goes great with bread. Favorites include, but are not limited to: Chicken noodle, Italian wedding, Chicken & gnocchi, and Tortellini soup. <3

The idea of Courage having a blessed Copycat Ballyhoo ability somehow slipped past me but makes so much sense!

As I am thinking about it, perhaps Courage’s copycat ability is just as powerful as the user if not more due to the blessed state in fact-!

What if his copied other abilities become blessed aka the better versions of said ability such as Kerm’s Product Placement or Yoge’s Simulcast?

I know that would make Courage overpowered in ways, but a drawback might be that Courage would need to see the Ballyhoo in action in order to perfectly copy it? Maybe even make physical contact with the user? (I am just spitballing ideas at 1 am-)

For Swipe’s I thought more on it and his omniscience would not make him invulnerable. I agree on that but it would be similar to Five’s Cue Card / Full Script in concept?

It’s like his Info gives him everything he needs, he just has to make that chain of events happen? I am sorry if it doesn’t make sense it’s hard to describe what I am imagining.

oh that's a cool concept, i like that!!! especially since uh... well... it seems yoge may be out of action (hopefully not permanently), courage being able to use an upgraded ability similar to simulcast would be hugely beneficial! and i do agree it may make him overpowered in some ways, but i like the drawback you mentioned!!!! also. i think the gay little dog deserves to be overpowered. as a treat.

also oooooh that's a cool concept!!!! no i understand what you mean--so essentially a powered swipes wouldn't necessarily be completely omniscient, but i can see it being similar to full script!!!! perhaps instead of determining every possible future, it would allow him to determine everything he needs to know in that moment??

actually, just a thought: maybe he would be able to identify other ballyhoo users and immediately know the gist of how their ballyhoo works. that, combined with what we've talked about with courage, could add to even more of those two being a dynamic duo and keep their ballyhoos at a level where they complement each other!

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

I'd say Interpose just because that thing took so freaking long to write and edit. But also you feel like home because I wrote that thing while being full-out sick with covid and decided to make it as angsty as possible lol.

9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year?

Ahh impossible question. I'll just say what I like about each one.

Royai: so. much. angst. But it also really does make all those tender soft little moments so worth it, and their loyalty speaks to the healing that can happen in relationships, and what it means to choose each other through the hard times.

Twiyor: I love the simple domesticity of these two. Like yes, they have their moments (proposing with a grenade pin, for example), but those two fall in love with each other just through the simple actions of everyday life. I've only been married for a couple of years, but I've learned that the sort of passionate lovey-dovey stage can only take you so far. The most precious memories of my marriage are when we're cooking dinner together and talking about some new show we want to watch. Or getting take-out after a really long day of work. Or even just sitting on the couch and reading together, talking about absolutely nothing at all.

12. How many WIP's do you have in your docs for next year?

Currently eight for royai and three for spy x family.

15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

These Beautiful Lies We Tell Ourselves. I've never taken on a creative project quite this big before, but I'm excited for it! Plus it's really helping to take the edge off the anxiety and self-doubt winter always brings. 🙃

28. Favorite work you wrote this year?

All the Things We Cannot Say. That one was just really fun to write :) Undercover missions, political drama, and first kisses are always a win for me!

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

Yor promptly yawns, all the exhaustion and shock from the night suddenly hitting her at full force. All she wanted to do was curl up in a nice, warm bed and sleep until the entire experience seemed like a harmless nightmare. But even as she looks down at her blood-spattered dress, she knows the ordeal will stay with her for the rest of her life. No amount of soap could ever wash that away. (these beautiful lies we tell ourselves)
