#thinking about death again bc my dad texted an update on my mum #apparently she got a blood transfusion and threw up. thrilling stuff. but it just nudges at my head #bc it just makes me think. when shes gone its going to leave a trace. the outline of a person #i dont kno why i find that so upsetting. i just think about all the half completed scrapbooks that will whither away in my sisters old room #and it makes me cry. shell leave behind her incomplete scrapbooks. half tumbled rocks. containers of sea glass and lucky stones. digital #conversation thatll never be responded to. shoes and clothes #and memories. evidence of of a life no longer there to live it #and it just makes me sad i guess. i dunno. theres something sad about a project that will never be finished #a project doomed to be forgotten because it was only ever in the care of one person #but thats how it goes. what is is. nothing to be done about it but feel that sadness #i dunno. my head is full of static and frustration for unrelated reasons #but death pokes at my head during the day and i lose my already unsteady focus in an effort not to cry #im tired and sad and wishing my medication was working better #shes not even dead yet. im pulling a roman r0y and pre grieving. except for reals #unrelated

The issue in my class is that none of us are willing to just be like ohhh well ill just do the bare minimum even if others are putting in effort so then we all end up with these stupid over-done projects for no reason. This needs to stop so its actually a public service for me to just halfass shit

#HELPP ok i have thoughts.my thinking cap back on #LOVEE the ending as far as the actual direction goes yk.like people seeing (literally) the pain&plight of plants #and vowing to protect and look after them w utmost care #loved that knives technically survived the fall and the aftermath esp in recruiting someone to care for vash #BUTTT i dont know how i feel ab his death ;___; the symbolism w the apple tree and him using the last of his energy is sweet #and i dont think i would dislike it necessarily if we just had more time #to marinate in his story.i think... the ending does not give u a lot of time to reach the full conclusion #i think that theres a whole side to his story i WISHH nightow explored and i wish we had seen knives turmoil and vashs acceptance of his #experiences more than the select few scenes we got beforehand. its soo rushed T_T DONT GET ME WRONG im still more or less satisfied that #we didnt get an ending like.. oh everyones dead and miserable and vash killed knives and ppl never learn to coexist right #like it could actually be so thematically worse BUTT im just like. THATS ITTT??? THATS ALL..sitting here twiddling my thumbs #waiting for a complete resolution thatll never come to be.and it sucks bc i wish i could look towards stampede to get that neat wrap up #but stampede completely altered knives' story and fell into the nasty horrid pittrap of aligning him with reprehensible values #so no conclusion of theres will ever touch on max!knives' conclusion and i think that is the thing im looking 4 the most #no conclusion of theirs* sry LAWL #also read some posts (by trigum LUVV ur analyses btw i need to rb some now that i finished) that the max ending #doesnt give vash an ACTUAL ending. we reach the climax in his confrontation with legato and then his commitment to save knives #but anything beyond that just doesnt exist. i'm in the process of watching a bunch of american zombie movies to prep for my honours essay next semester (i'm gonna talk abt them in the context of generational fears!! i'm really excited) and just. man. all the pre-night of the living dead are pretty explicitly racist in some really insidious ways and too many of the post-living dead ones are too

#its sad honestly. i knew that going in ofc but it still makes me kind of sad #like i just finished king of the zombies from 1941. it was okay? definitely different from what im used to i dont watch lots of old films #but its so racist oh my god. every black character is a servant. almost every zombie is black and its notable when theyre not #the only white ones are a woman and an irish man and an austrian man controls the zombies. its not fucking subtle #it makes its xenophobia extremely clear #mantan moreland plays one of the main characters and hes so funny but i feel awful that his character is made into a joke!#its been a wild ride so far #levi.txt #im excited to get to romero bc ive actually never seen a romero movie!! also it means ill start to move away from vodou zombies #and towards the kind of plague zombies im more used to #those have. an entirely different also very questionable connotation :)#im particularly interested in the idea of zombies as acceptable targets. i think thatll be interesting once i reach the 80s or so

#i feel like. tempted to fix this problem by starting a new world with modded worldgen but then...#figuring out how to insert my submarine in about the place it currently is. So I can finish the game off with modded worldgen.#LMAO #finish the game CAL #i just feel like once you can kill abyss creatures... nothing is challenging anymore #all of my characters are practically invulnerable. they never die. 2 of my characters have miracle in progress. soon thatll be 3 of them.#most of them can regenerate health due to gene splicing #my cabinents are overflowing with materials #(literally bc i have little crates sitting outside my cabinents lol)#which is why i NEED mods to challenge myself. The only other thing ive thought of is self sabotage.#Ive thought of actively trying to stop my crew from beating the mission. just letting their AI win and beat my player ass #although ive realized the AI is not good at handling husk which is disappointing and exciting #bc that means i actually do have a threat of being overtaken by husk if me the player isnt paying attention #ANYWAY BAROTRAUMA RANT OVER
