#commander rooney shepard#I won't let fear compromise who I am#myedits#v: cyberpunk 2077#hi everybody#dropping this and leaving it on your doorstep lol#just wanted to make something for their AU#hope you guys won't mind me infodumping Rooney's CP2077 lore in the tags#I've been trying to merge ME and CP2077 lore#born in Canada and raised there until they were 16 when their village was wiped out leaving Rooney the sole survivor#they traveled with nomads for a while#ended up in port Seattle and joined the military there#ended up distinguishing themself and fighting in the unification war#they were part of the space force afterwards#until they left the military 1 1/2 years before the end of the game and landed in night city#I kinda wanna include the beginning of ME2 with dying and getting the cybernetics but I haven't figured out that part yet#also I already have a ship for them#but it's definitely not anyone you would think lol#It started out as a what if and uh...it now has a playlist#anyway thank you for listening to my verbal stream#and now I'm off

“Whoa, whoa, okay, easy…” Nick had her in his arms, up and off the ground before Margot really knew what was happening. The sharp, searing pain in her shin and calf had her focused on other matters, of course.
He sprinted with her far enough away from danger, gentle enough to avoid jostling her wound unnecessarily. It did little for the existing pain and though Margot knew she needed to be quiet it was difficult to stifle her own moans and sobs.
“I know, kid, I know…” Nick coaxed under his breath, but close enough for her to hear. “Hang on just a bit longer, almost there…”
She’d realize later how tight of a vice grip she had on his shoulder, as her nails were apparently ripping fresh holes in his coat.
“Nick…” she whined, pressing her face into his chest, holding on to his tie for purchase to both stifle her own noises and ride out the unbearable waves of pain.

for anyone who didn't know, in a couple days' time i will be posting the first chapter or so from my fitzier pale rider (1985) au, revelation 6:8, for cowboyshowfest!! i'm very happy w/ how it's turned out so i'm really excited to see what people think of it.
you can get a taster for it from the first art i did w/ this au right here!
#if you've read franklin canada which me and cinna wrote a couple years ago now it's sort of a sister fic#similar premise; sole survivor v. largely reincarnated cast & very complicated slow-burn plot w/ lots of moving parts#& also a close mirroring/parallel to canon where it kind of hangs over the text on purpose#hrrrngh.... intertextuality!!!!!#it's come out at about 170k words which was about 130k more than planned#but i did thoroughly enjoy writing it over the summer and i keep looking at it even now going ouguhhhghh... pale rider....#it's 16 chapters + epilogue and all totally finished so chapters will probably be published weekly on friday/saturday#you don't need to have read franklin canada or seen pale rider to understand what's happening in it as it's entirely separate but#it does carry a lot of themes from both places purely bc they're things i like the themes of and like to redo/re-explore them#but the basic premise is that if you like undead ghost cowboy francis you're in for a treat#momo.txt

@watchmenanon so I think I found what could be an Infinite Crisis connection/parallel—Alexander Luthor's whole 'trying to find/recreate the perfect earth at the destruction of the current one' motive for Infinite Crisis/the restoration of the Multiverse is definitely... reminiscent of Vecna's general plan to destroy the world and reshape it
(especially considering Alexander is talking to Power Girl for part of him explaining his motive... the alternate universe counterpart to Supergirl—a member of the House of El... like how the similar motives in Stranger Things get explained to El)

man, now i'm thinking again about how obsidian gave your courier the opportunity to canonically speak latin, a language that was obscure and functionally dead even before the apocalypse, but it was apparently too much for bethesda to assume that a player character would be able to speak any form of chinese, y'know, a language spoken by billions of people around the planet lmaooo

Meet Ava, Sole Survivor. I might make her in Fallout 4 ( eventually ) but I feel she'll be strength-based and melee-based. Likely ( or eventually ) part of the Brotherhood. Seeking out her son, and had been in a same-sex marriage. But going with the events-- her wife is now dead, killed by Kellogg. ( As how events go. ) Ava plans on murdering that bastard. Make him suffer. She holds grudges and such right to her heart.
