i think five just missed out and disappeared before he could be named.

a possible reason for how he could have found out his siblings’ names by either reading vanya’s book or just from newspaper articles, etc. of the umbrella academy (since they are pretty well known).

i don’t have an explanation for the robbery scene where they call ben his name though, i’d just chalk it up to the writers’ need to introduce ben’s character into the story and let us know who he is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why does Five know the other kids names if they got them after they left and in one of the beginning scenes when the six of them are doing what I think to be there first fight and Five is there and they refer to ben as his first name,

so why the ever loving fuck does Five not have an actual name the kids mention that their mother named them did their mother just not name Five or some crap.

Ps thanks to my friend who made me watch the show and it has now taken over my life.
