Only now I finally had time to read the latest chapter and I think this is the best one yet. I love the fluff so much, Armie is such a great boyfriend to poor Timmy. This story is really heartbreaking and beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I remember a few months ago a small group of bored Twitter “fans” tried to cancel Timmy for saying d*ke for a character he was reading lines for. And everyone’s main argument in his favor was “he was young, it was a job he couldn’t refuse to not say it no matter how uncomfortable he was”... so how exactly is it so different now with Eiza? Is it because it’s blackface specifically?

yes, blackface and saying that word in a script are different. very different. especially in a time like this.

Okay first I wanna say I was raised in Mexico and constantly visit, that Eiza’s black face issue I understand her because forreal, back then we were not educated AT ALL about anything regarding race, social movements are barely starting to come alive in the country, I am not her fan but yeah zero education whatsoever in anything race, gender, sexual orientation related, right now is the first time people are being “woke” about socio-political issues so I just wanted to put that put there 1/2

yeah, i understand the lack of education. but the real problem here, for me at least, is that there was no public apology and the apology itself sounded like a bunch of excuses.

so with all that being said, i think a lot of people are uncomfortable with her past and they’re disappointed to see someone like timmy interacting with her. thus, the “hate” insues, which is more people calling timmy out on his shit than anything.

as for the nyu thing, i’m guessing it’s the whole chlamydia rumor from two years ago that’s resurfacing. pretty sure it was completely made up though.

but i agree. while BOTH being seen with eiza and traveling were beyond stupid on timmy’s part, the traveling during a pandemic is what really felt like a slap in the face. this virus is real. it kills. and for you to ignore that just to go on vacay in another country that already has an overwhelming amount of cases? extremely disappointing. i thought he was better than that too...

i understand what eiza did was extremely wrong and as a person who is half black and half asian, it doesn’t sit right with me and i want a public apology, but how come nobody calls out saoirse ronan for doing black face too? people pick and choose who to cancel and who not to cancel and i think that’s very absurd. at this point, i’m just gonna assume that people called her out cause she was seen with timothèe and fangirls are upset.

i’m half black myself and see a problem with both situations. however, i think the difference here lies with the fact that saoirse was 9 years old. i personally feel like a 9 year old and a 16/17 year old have very different perspectives on what’s right and wrong.

either way, if someone does blackface, past or present, they should publicly apologize. especially if they’ve truly changed. this includes saoirse.

and yes, there are some fan girls that will be upset no matter what, but you can’t deny the fact that eiza deserves to be called out for her actions. this isn’t a simple “timmy is mine, back off.” it’s a “you have a questionable past that goes against timmy’s supposed morals.” or at least that’s how i see it.

i never thought i’d see the day, but i have to say, i’m pretty disappointed in timmy right now. his actions recently seem so out of character. and while i never knew him personally, i still feel as though timmy has in some way...changed.

not only is he with someone who’s done blackface and appropriated japanese culture, but he’s also being super irresponsible by traveling during a global pandemic. i just can’t seem to understand why he would think it’s okay to ignore something so serious just to party with his friends at the beach. he’s doing nothing but spreading the virus, in a place where there are already over 180k cases of covid and over 20k people have died from it.

just days ago, he was supporting blm and going to protests, and now he’s silent about it on social media and is seen with someone who has a racist past. it’s terribly...ironic. i don’t even know what to think of him anymore. i feel like he put on a front and we all believed it.

i still love timmy, and i hope he sees what he’s doing because he’s changing without even realizing it, but i can’t ignore these circumstances. i’ve been tremendously let down by him, and that’s just the truth.

i’m going to stay here if you guys need to talk or anything of course, but i’m taking a break from writing. i just need to re-evaluate some things.

yup. big yikes. she was apparently 16 and was forced to do it, but...still. you know better by 16. she also only ever addressed it in someone’s dms instead of apologizing publicly. super shady to me. and she collaborated with a singer who went by the n word because he apparently “sounded like a jamaican man” when he sang and she called him this word in two different tweets.
