Something tells me I've, in fact, brought up some old knowledge that people have either forgotten, or haven't spread around in a while...
Uh, yes! Tango's skin is based off of/is a Naruto character, I believe like. Naruto's dad, or something? (Forgive me, I've never watched Naruto) but here's the reddit user that made a visualization of the edit onto the actual character.
As for the source, it was pretty well known 2-3 years ago (2020-ish), and I think Tango mentioned it in one of his streams, which is where we usually get information, though I could be wrong.

Here we go! A much more coherent design, and me throwing all caution to the air and just designing the hermits the way i want.
Decided to get rid of the fire hair, though it still flares up if he gets really emotional...? And I headcanon him as a Fire Elemental!
I really, really tried to just use the naruto character his skin was based off of, but oh my god its so simple i just kept wanting to add bells and whistles until. We got here... forgive me.
I'll probably go back and add even more bells and whistles to my previous hermit designs because i'm insane as well...
ah well.
