If Unova is anything like New York actually then u just know the subway twins would have to work multiple jobs to afford to live there and my headcanon is they work at a SubwayTM and they’re like completely enthusiastic and stoked about it even tho it’s a piece of shit min wage customer service job
Lbr they would eventually get fired bc someone recognizes them as the Subway Bosses and entices them to a double battle to win a free lunch and they absolutely destroy the place w their Pokémon like “haha oops got carried away, is everyone safe???;” and their manager (a mr.mime named mr.manager) sees the Subway smoldering post-battle and shakes his head in disappointment and makes them turn their aprons in
Then they somehow get a job at Starbucks (Sawsbucks???) and not two weeks later the same thing happens again having not learned anything from the first time around and they decide maybe they’re not meant for domestic jobs and that they’d be better off picking up janitorial shifts at the battle subway they so often destroy instead
