Weirdly specific issue I’m having: I’m Māori and I’d really like to learn fibre arts that are specific to my culture but I’m Built Different (derogatory) which is to say the moment my skin touches dry plant fibres, it recoils, both from the plant, and also from my body as it blisters like a BITCH 😭🥹

There’s a world where I incorporate Toi Māori into my current practice and mediums but I am pretty steadfast in the belief of learning traditionally before that.

But I’m probably gonna need straight up PPE to do it 😭😭😭
