That being said, some people do find hitting the weights meditative or like to revel in seeing their strength gradually increase and feel it physically. A friend of mine is such a person.

Another Aurora webcomic fanfic! This one’s called Seasick, 2k oneshot, rated T, hurt/comfort, focused on Dainix and Falst.
It’s in that fuzzy grey zone between Gen and ship, I think. Probably more Gen than ship… pre-ship? (Metaphorically. They are literally on a ship.) Tenderness and care that isn’t specifically romantic, except for a hint of it from Falst near the end, but can be read as such by the shipping crowd (see: me. it’s me I ship them).

Reblog if you write fic and people can inbox you random-ass questions about your stories, itemized number lists be damned.

Yeah quiet quitting is great and all but have you tried chaotic working?
Like. I remember back in my grocery store cashier days I did so much crazy shit.
When WIC (Women, infants, and children voucher program to help low income mothers/families with children) people were in my line I would pretty much know who they were. Before the cards they had to tell us upfront they were WIC and show us their vouchers for what they were allowed to get (it was awful some times. Like. 2 gallons of milk. $4 worth of vegetables etc etc). They’d always have items hanging back, waiting to see what the total was and if they would have to take it off the belt.
I began to place the fruits/vegetables a certain way on the register scale so that like 1/2lbs of grapes read as like .28lbs or something. Then act shocked when I said that they still had X amount of lbs left. They got all their fruit and vegetables.
I think it started to kinda? Catch on to the women? Because I would have the same moms in my line month after month. And even after they switched to the cards (they worked like food stamp cards?) I’d still do the same thing. They were able to get more produce for whatever shitty max amount Indiana gave them.
Anyways. Be chaotic. It’s more fun that way.

Hey Red,
Did you get to see the eclipse?
Did you take pictures of it with that camera you mentioned in the eclipse video?
Can I see them if you have any?
Thanks

I don't think I've seen anybody talk about how absolutely insane The Boiling Rock is from Hakoda's perspective.
Imagine getting captured, and your son tells you that you won't be apart for too long. That's sweet, but obviously your son has no resources to spare for organizing a breakout. You hope that the Avatar can defeat the Fire Lord soon - that's the earliest time you could hope to be rescued.
You get put into a temporary holding facility until the guards can sort out who is who. After a while, they put you on a prisoner transport to the Boiling Rock. Your captors try to intimidate you by telling you that it's the highest security prison in the Fire Nation, probably the whole world. It's far away from the capital.
You arrive at the Boiling Rock. It really is in the middle of a boiling lake. There's only one way in or out, and it's a gondola that takes you above the boiling lake. You meet the warden. They take you to your cell. You settle down to wait for the end of the war.
And 15 minutes later Sokka comes in like "hey dad I'm here I got the prince of the Fire Nation and an Earth Kingdom ninja leader gf ok let's go I'm busting you out"

The average follower boops you 5.5 times factoid is actually just statistical error. The average follower boops you 1 time. Boopers Georg, who went insane and booped you 100+ times, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.

Aurora doodle: Erin and Tarren
Tumblr media
It's Erin and Tarren from @comicaurora! Ah, the duality of scientists. Doodled as a brain break during work, then redid digitally real quick.
Just for fun, a poll (not that I expect much reach Cx):
