Because crazy Sans has the problem with color red, does that mean Papyrus stop wearing his scarf and Boots and change to a different color? Does crazy Sans feel uncomfortable not seeing the papyrus look like papyrus?
Yes and no. Clothes are just clothes.
People have been asking for full bodies of their design so here ya go:
Papyrus’s design may change over time. Sans will stay covered up whenever he’s out cus the cold hurts his cracks.

Papyrus but he's a flower
I brainstormed various types of flowers for my whole ride (periwinkle, aster, chyrsantimum and a literal papyrus were all in heavy consideration) but I ended up settling on my first instinct. A determined Echo flower that can only repeat what it’s heard is not at all an original idea, nor is Papyrus losing his soul and/or his ability to speak, but it’s a combo that hits right in the angstfeels.
And also the idea of a helpful, eager-to-please echo flower with a damaged moral compass is really appealing to me. So meet…
