ITS BASED ON DOLLS AND PUPPETRY AND SHIT im going to FREAK OUT
the way the faces are painted with a gloss to look like porcelain or plastic, there are seemingly "fake" body parts, the way the models walk off-kilter like they're being pulled around by a string, the way there's such a BRILLIANT execution of fragility, in the makeup, the fashion and the acting of the models, like that of an actual DOLL, and the costumes look like they've been carefully handcrafted with leftover scraps of fabric ???? like i used to do that with my dolls???? the strange idea of being controlled by a child, walking and acting like how a kid thinks a human adult WOULD. OH MY FUCKKKK there are so many details. THE EXAGGERATION OF HUMAN PROPORTIONS LIKE THE HIPS AND THE ARMS WHICH IN TURN MAKES IT SEEM INHUMAN
THE HAIR??? I need to shovel dirt into my mouth I need to lie face down in a river this is fucking amazing.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. the way they walked has such an animatronic quality to it. the "scraps" hanging around their neck and wrapped around their feet, the frazzled plastic-looking hair, the unnaturally posed limbs, the dead, doll-like face?????
