In a surprising twist of fate, Tamashii Nations has announced a brand new S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou release for the GARO line, the Dark Knight known as Kiba. Previous GARO S.H.Figuarts releases only included variations of Golden Knight Garo and Silver Knight Zero. Now, Dark Knight Kiba has received three figures prior to this one from Equip and Prop, Makai Kado and SIC Kiwami Tamashii. However, this is Kiba‘s first S.H.Figuarts release. S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Ankoku Kishi (Dark Knight) Kiba will be released in April 2020 for 9990 yen via Premium Bandai’s Tamashii Web Shop.

Personally speaking, I am floored by this announcement as I never expected Bandai to go beyond Garo and Zero for their S.H.Figuarts Garo line, as they have never gotten beyond the two main leads. I certainly hope that releasing Kiba is a sign of Bandai willing to give fans other Makai Knights in the line. I am personally hoping to see Dan and Crow in the future. I want to support any future Makai Knights that this line provides.

After a very successful launch of the Power Rangers Heroes of the Grid table top game with last year’s Phase 1 Kickstarter as well as this year’s release, Renegade Game Studios is back to bring more Ranger power to fans of Power Rangers and Tabletop Gamers alike. The second phase Kickstarter, titled Back to the Grid, features less new products than the previous one, but there are some nice bonuses and chances for those who may have missed out on things before.

Back to the Grid New Items:

Included in this Phase for the first time are the Zeo Ranger Pack, Legendary Ranger: Tommy Oliver Pack and Mega Goldar Deluxe Figure as well as the Kickstarter Exclusive Zeo Gold Character Pack.

The Zeo Ranger Pack will include Tommy Oliver/Zeo Ranger V, Adam Park/Zeo Ranger IV, Rocky DeSantos/Zeo Ranger III, Tanya Sloan/Zeo Ranger II, Kat Hillard/Zeo Ranger I miniatures. Each Ranger comes with 10 Combat Cards, a Character Card and a Zord Card. As a bonus in the pack, a Zeo Megazord Card is included. The set is listed as a $40 pledge that includes the Zeo Gold Pack. This set should also be releasing to retail next year but that price is unknown at this time.

The Legendary Ranger: Tommy Oliver Pack includes five different versions of Tommy Oliver with four playable Rangers as well as one Monster. The set includes Mighty Morphin Green Ranger and Mighty Morphin White Ranger which previously appeared in the Kickstarter Phase 1 Deluxe Box but this pack seems to feature new sculpts for both miniatures. The Character and Zord cards shown are the same as the previous release however. Dino Thunder Black Ranger and Turbo Red Ranger are brand-new and include 10 Combat Cards, 1 Character Card and 1 Zord Card each. Interestingly, Turbo Red‘s Zord card is shown as Lightning Cruiser instead of the Red Lightning Turbo Zord. This may mean that Red Lightning could appear later on in another expansion down the road. The final part of this pack is the Evil Robot Tommy Monster. Based on its appearance in the Dimensions in Danger episode of Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel, the Evil Robot Tommy miniature is packed with 1 Deployment Card and 8 Monster Cards. Just like the Zeo Ranger Pack, this set is a $40 pledge that also includes Zeo Gold Character Pack.

The final retail item that is releasing early via Kickstarter, is the Mega Goldar Deluxe Figure. Much like Phase 1’s Cyclopsis Deluxe Figure, Mega Goldar includes not only the large miniature himself but also a Deployment Card, 6 Component Cards as well as presumably 6 Combat Cards. This allows Mega Goldar to act as a Boss in the game that is Megazord sized. Just like with the previous two items, Mega Goldar is a $40 pledge that also includes the Zeo Gold Character Pack.

After mentioning it three times now, we finally reached the Kickstarter Phase 2 exclusive, the Zeo Gold Character Pack. This pack only available through this campaign includes the Zeo Gold Miniature, 10 Combat Cards, a Double-Sided Character Card featuring Trey of Triforia and Jason Lee Scott (who have different effects), the Pyramidas Zord Card as well as 4 special combat dice. As something that’s included with any of the Pledge tiers, this is certainly a worthy incentive to pick-up items via the campaign.

Several pledge tiers are available including a Zeo Master tier containing all the new items and a Mega Morphin Master tier containing everything from Phase 1 and Phase 2. Also available as add-ons is the Bulk and Skull Character Pack that was previously released at conventions and Renegade Games’ website and the Phase 1 Kickstarter Exclusive Deluxe Box.

The campaign runs from September 17 to October 1, 2019. All items are scheduled to ship in March 2020 worldwide. The funding goal was originally $25,000, however the campaign was successfully funded in less than 10 minutes making this act as an extended pre-order for those wanting to join in.

During their 2019 Fax Expo Canada Marvel Legends Panel, Hasbro revealed a brand-new box set of Marvel Legends action figures. This box set is themed around the Canadian Mutant superhero team known as Alpha Flight. For those who are unaware, Alpha Flight debuted in Uncanny X-Men issue 120 before later getting their own series. The new box set will feature six characters from the Alpha Flight team. Two iconic members of the team were previously released in the line with Sasquatch as a build-a-figure for the first Deadpool themed wave of 2018 and Guardian (James Hudson) as a single figure in the 2019 Wendigo wave.

Personally speaking, I’m beyond excited for this box set. Alpha Flight is one of the more obscure teams in the world of Marvel and seeing Hasbro finish off the main team in this way is fantastic. With Puck’s first release a whole six years ago, it’s great seeing him get released again as I missed out the first time. The Sasquatch and Guardian in recent years really made me hopeful for the rest of the team and now they’ve happened all in one big set. This is not only a great announcement for fans but also very fitting for Fan Expo Canada.

During the Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise live-stream, Bandai revealed a multitude of new Gunpla kits based on the new Gundam anime series. Following the stream, they opened a website for the series and provided information for release of the new kits. Included in the Build Divers Re:Rise line are HGBDR, SDBDR and a Haropla kit.

Among the HGBDR line-up is a new format of Gunpla debuting with the featured Gundam of the series, the Earthree Gundam. This new style of Gundam features a Core Gundam as well as an armor unit. The armor unit can become a vehicle for the Core Gundam as well as combining with it to become the full Gundam mode. Naturally, the armors can be used with multiple Core Gundams and armors for infinite possibilities with customization. There were also be new Build Custom sets featuring weapons and other accessories.

In addition to the HGBDR line, we also have the reveal of our first SDBR kit which appears to be a dragon that can convert into an SD Gundam. To top things off, there is a Haro made to be a Zakurello. Check out a full rundown of all the newly revealed kits down below!

Today at Hasbro’s SDCC 2019 breakfast presentation, a new Power Rangers Lightning Collection Fighting Spirit Green Ranger and Putty Patroller two-pack was revealed. The set includes the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger based on his appearance in the classic Power Rangers Dino Thunder episode “Fighting Spirit“. This is represented by the silver stripe on the helmet, the silver Power Morpher and the white Dragon Dagger holster. The figure includes multiple hands, including a flute playing hand, an unmasked Tommy Oliver head, the Dragon Dagger, the Sword of Darkness and a green lightning effect. The Putty Patroller is based on the classic foot soldier from Mighty Morpin Power Rangers Season 1 and includes alternate weapon hands and an effect part. The two-pack will be available via Fan Channel retailers such as Hasbro Pulse, Big Bad Toy Store, Entertainment Earth and GameStop for $39.99.
