People also fail to realize that half the places they apply, even and especially the ones that have big and bright "now hiring" signs plastered on every storefront are, in fact, not hiring.
Whether it's a ruse to keep govt assistance in full swing, a ploy to ensure that there is always a stack of applications to pull from the top of, or simply apathy and inadvertent miscommunication, there is no shortage of potential jobsites that one can step into (to be redirected to an 9nline link no less) to merely waste their time incorrectly assuming that employees are actually needed.
It's the worst it's ever been now in my experience. I've done the dance a few times in my life, but this most recent round of job-hunting took well over 70 applications for less than 5 offers to come in. I went to so many online apps just to find out a location isn't hiring that I simply started asking employees about it... And saved a lot of time by getting a "no" and moving along to the next one.
It would be more funny if it wasnt so accurate for so many people
But what most folks dont realize is they reject candidates in mass so they can validate using an off shore employee for less
You could awlays go the way of the 4bt if you're looking for an engine swap, and ppl do the old Chevy v8 swap so much it's basically standard operating procedure
Mechanic says my jeep is dead. Needs an engine swap. It made it to 190k miles. I love that vehicle. Very sad times. I will probably not replace the engine on it. So I need a new vehicle. There goes my yearly farming bonus :(
Got the first diamondback of the hot season this evening. Skinny little bastard was hiding just off the ruts of my driveway, but I got lucky and spotted him on my way past.
Chevrolet Sidewinder, 1964. An all-terrain amphibious vehicle intended for military applications.聽It was double articulated, with the cab section, central power unit, and cargo section all being separate units. It was powered by Buicks alloy 215ci V8 (the engine that was later licensed to Rover). The spinning 聽wheels provided mobility in water
Not the type to post food pics really, but this was the last of the venison sausage so I snapped one to make my old man jealous - dumped in an egg, topped with cheddar and mushrooms, and eaten alongside a potato/sweet potato fry mix. A little salt and red pepper and hot damn it came together well.
Good food is way too simple for so many people to claim incompetence in the kitchen.
I love these kinds of contraptions, looks like a 3wheeler duck boat. I'd love to see a mockup of the blueprints if you ever get around to making some.
Finally found building plans for these. Obviously the plans were from something like Popular Mechanics, but the only page I could find, I had to translate from Russian. But now it's copied into a word document.
It actually looks really simple and inexpensive to make. Would be a nice jaunt in one to the local lake and drive right in to go fishing. Or if everything hits the fan, you wouldn't have to use any gas for a fishing trip or quick run to a neighbor.
Many people have a preferred boot, and the last time I went to buy mine I discoverved it was discontinued from the lucchese line. So I found an unsold set on ebay awhile back and snatched them up. Figured before I switch I can at least get another handful of years out if them (previous ones lasted damn near 10yrs).
Problem is, and I dont know if it's how they were stored or a change in construction or just bad luck, these things have started slouching around the base of the heel on one boot. The task for this set of days off is to figure out how the hell to fix that before it starts causing durability issues and I'm forced to go shopping again.
Pain in the ass... Need to find me a leather worker with the fix for this kind of shit or Im gonna end uo siaking them, tying them down, and recoating them at this point.
