Has anyone read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo? I'm currently reading it. I'm almost done with the first husband.
How did you all like the story?

Finished the Mission House. It was absolutely brilliant, although it took a little bit for me to get into.
Still reading The Whistling, but I also accidentally started to read The Island Child by Molly Aitken. Might pause The Whistling for a bit because The Island Child is really quite drawing me in at the moment.

Finished the Island Child.
Keeping The Whistling shelved a little longer, as I'm really quite curious about The Mission House by Carys Davies.
Still reading The Whistling, but I also accidentally started to read The Island Child by Molly Aitken. Might pause The Whistling for a bit because The Island Child is really quite drawing me in at the moment.

still reading this book, but also reading the stationmaster's cottage. not very far into it, but it's quite intriguing me.
with the bigfoot book finished, it's time for my next read. i've got high hopes for this one. it's called 'the whistling', which was written by rebecca netley, and i've been obsessed with starting this book since i found it in the shop last week friday (went to pick it up on tuesday). lets see how it holds up 🤞🏼

read the bigfoot book™ too much and watched best ever food review show too long, so i had two separate dreams. one where sonny ate bigfoot, and one where bigfoot came along on a 100$ challenge.
currently working my way through 'devolution' by max brooks. it's a pretty good read. making my way through it steadily. it's one of those 'one more chapter' moments, where you put the book down, nervously tap your fingers against your leg, and then pick it right back up again. not for the faint of heart, and a quick trigger warning for the preparing of an animal for its meat, after it's been killed, because it's vividly described how one of the characters is skinning a rabbit + removing its organs. gagged a little myself.
