Shadow likes to spoil Rouge a bit by getting her gemstones all the time. Jewelry stores actually know him by name.

From Ohnohedgepog: Shadow and Rouge have a system sometimes where they put on a playlist where their song comes on after the other's. So you end up with hilarious situations where you have Shadow playing the angriest, loudest music while running over robots with an armored truck, then after the song ends it'll play something like toxic by britney spears. This also works the opposite way where they'll be going to a club or something IDK and then System of a Down comes on.

Headcanon 13

From ohnohedgepog: Shadow sometimes gets grabby with Rouge if there's danger around because of what he went through on the ARK. Rouge has noticed him doing this but is ok with it because she knows he's doing it out of protectiveness. She's more concerned about the trauma underneath, but she wants him to work on things at his own pace, not stuff things down. After Shadow realized he was doing this unconsciously, Rouge saw that he felt bad about it, so she put aside her pride and confessed that she sometimes likes his grabbiness, like from being held or swept off her feet. He better not tell anyone though.

After getting married, Rouge still works at G.U.N. while Shadow fulfills his destiny and becomes the Ultimate Househusband

Shadow has his moments where he actually teases and flirts with Rouge, and gets her super flustered cause she's not expecting it + because he's actually a really good tease. It's quite rare though and he only ever does it in private. He's always real smug about it too because Rouge gets so caught off guard that she usually can't clap back and just stands there like. (.//.)

Shadow and Rouge will coordinate styles. Rouge will sometimes wear badass goth punk outfits when with Shadow, but Shadow will also sometimes coordinate with Rouge's style, so he'll wear hot pink feather boas and sunglasses. They wear pink on Wednesdays.

Shadow and Rouge absolutely have special combo attacks they do together in battle. There’s nothing better than a battle couple working together in perfect synchronicity.

Shadow and Rouge never really announced their relationship, it was just one of those things that just sort of happened and then people found out about it usually because they’d see the two on dates or they’d just be generally affectionate with each other and their friends were more less left to piece it together themselves.

Shadow took some time to realize he had feelings for Rouge, mainly because he didn’t even know that’s what he was feeling. It was something he’d never really experienced before and was more confused by it than anything. He actually ended up talking to Amy about it who was more than happy to explain romantic feelings to him and proceeded to play wingman for him as she thought it was adorable.

Shadow and Rouge love having movie nights and watching cheesy action and heist movies together while cuddled together.

Rouge likes to bring Shadow along on her shopping trips. He acts annoyed but he actually doesn’t mind that much and Rouge makes sure that Shadow gets something he’ll like too.

Once Rouge got injured on a mission and Shadow refused to leave her side until she had recovered and for awhile after would be very protective of her during missions.

Upon finding out that Shadow had a habit of living off hot pockets and other junk food Rouge made it a point to get him some more healthy options. Shadow says it’s not a big deal since he’s the ultimate life form and can’t get sick but Rouge still insists he needs to eat healthier and take care of himself.

Shadow and Rouge are both night owls so often times they’ll have their dates late into the night. Usually taking long walks or stargazing.
