✨Taako, you know, from TV!✨
This is my, by now pretty old, Taako costume! I designed it back in 2018 and finished sewing and crafting it in early 2019. Wore this one so many times to cons and shoots and still love it so much. I have the making off of this costume still on my story highlights on my insta, it anyone fancies to know more. I remember building the whole design around the blue and brown shifting taffeta I found in a fabric store close to my old university. There's actually a corresponding Lup design I did for @erl.cos but we unfortunately couldn't shoot these two together since first illness and then the panini came in the way. The umbrastaff was inspires by this artwork by @electeocereal

Extremely last second faux patch for the pleather jacket I got last month.
There’s super strong magnets inside the patch so I can attach it without hurting my jacket with anything too permanent.
I feel this might be a wee bit smaller than I’d like, but I can always remake this later.

Hat!
Used heavy craft weight interfacing and zigzagged a wire along the edge of the brim.
I’ll make the hat band and skulls tomorrow.
It should be taller but I wasn’t sure how tall would have been too tall 😓

This cape has given me too many problems. But it’s good enough! Its ready to be painted then “hemmed”
Used horse hair interfacing to stabilize the cape, capelet, and collar. And the collar got extra reinforcement with a wired edge and light weight boning.
Then moved onto the staff, following this YouTube video. I luckily have all these tools so it’s going by so fast and easy 😍
The small chunk was what I had trimmed off before detailing. Going to start bending it in a bit, then onto painting!

Repatterned my gloves after I compared them to the nice leather ones I got from ren faire. This would not be a bad mock up, but with little time and it just not being a big deal I’m happy with what I have.
I just finished patterning and cutting out my cape, so I hope I’ll have that finished by Saturday so I can spend that whole day focused on his staff and painting the symbols onto the cape lining.
