(Wip!) posting old art until i can post new stuff haha. This is an old comic wip in my folders of zuko and katara getting together and getting wasted while gossiping and being in their mean girl era. This is a couple months old but uh I’ll revisit it, redraw it and finish it in the future! Ends with Sokka dragging them both out while desperately trying to find Aang of course haha.

Posted 2009: It's been already more than 2 years that I did this quick thumbnail for the pitch. It is Avatar season 3 episode 19, "Zuko meet Iroh" part, I really wanted to do this section, so I took it, and I boarded it. But on the pitch day, I left my board at home,... gees... I couldn't go home to bring my board cause I was so busy to check other artist's boards to pitch, so... I just did a quick sketch on the script. haha... Truly Happy days worked in Avatar with a lot of great fellas!!! Source

It shocked me to find out that people will completely skip season 1 in their ATLA rewatches. The season gets a little too much flak imo. Is it a little more childish than S2 and S3? Maybe! But so many important moments and setups are established in that season, and in terms of story and pacing, it’s one of the strongest seasons right next to S2 imo!

people skipping s1 in their atla rewatches would explain a lot of fandom misconceptions. like of course you don't see how much aang and katara love each other if you don't see their first meeting and the way they instantly bond. of course you don't understand aang's grief and loss if you don't see him go into the avatar state at the western air temple. of course you think sokka's solely the funny guy if you only see him after he's loosened up a bit. of course you see zuko as a precious baby who's done no wrong if you miss all the episodes where he's a villain. of course you fundamentally misunderstand the show if you ignore an entire THIRD of it

not even just the looks, I am *so* happy with how much I’ve improved regarding speed. First drawing (the full image) took me over an hour to draw, I think over two (I think I titled it a quick warmup well that was a lie LMAO) and the second one took me ten minutes maybe? I just remember being so stuck on the face in the first one haha, then the second one just.. popped out haha.
