The perfect explanation of what it feels like to be manic and the experience of a deluded sense of invincibility. Vincent van Gogh The letters. To Paul Gauguin. Arles, 21 Monday, January 1889.
Vincent van Gogh is my favorite painter. Sadly his life was filled with pain, mental illness and other miseries, which morphed his narrative into him being an erratic loon with a thirst for absinthe and prostitutes. That is not true; he was so much more than that. This book, Van Gogh's Ear, written by Bernadette Murphy, is a fantastic record of facts. It not only humanizes him, but it also provides an accurate account of the ongoings towards the end of his life. 馃摳 @sav.age.rynyc
The Museo del Oro is one of my favorite museums. It's filled with amazing pieces of gold and other artifacts, offering a great history of the city of Bogota. 馃摳 @sav.age.rynyc
