“I don't love women the way men love women.
I don't want to tame them.
I don't want to own them.
I don't want to treat them like a trophy in a case.
I just want to be close to them.
It's still hunger,
but a different kind of hunger.
-I almost didn't recognize it at first.”
-She is the poem by June Bates

Text
One day I’ll marry you, I promise..
Out in that old apple orchard,
To a song on an acoustic guitar,
Surrounded by those who never judged -
Not even for a second -
The love I felt for you.
I’ll kiss you underneath that old tree,
The first place we met those years ago,
And we’ll spend the evening singing
All those old songs from your childhood.
Dancing in that old barn,
Until we’re all worn out.
And then I’ll hold you to my chest,
Promise again to never leave you
Or forget the best moment of my life.
Using the waltz to pull you closer,
Holding me so softly;
Your arms around my waist.

meeting her was like jumping into a kaleidoscope bursting with vibrant colors and exploding stars, exciting and terrifying.
I don't know why she felt familiar to me. yet I still wanted to know everything about her.
wonder if she thinks its possible for her and I? for us to slowly blossom into the prettiest of flowers?
a connection no one could break, bound like the brightest constellation.
a love like the softest blanket. feels bitter sweet but it's a honor I've fallen for her.
no matter what I'm happy to know a beautiful soul like her.

Text
To wake up in her arms
To kiss her in the mornings while making our coffee,
Cups in hand.
To sit at the kitchen table with her in gentle silence
Waking up slowly but surely
Cause neither of us like early mornings.
But with each other?
It could be peaceful.
It could be kind.
Finding solace in each other's company.
