Ok more on the Eddie and Kim thing cause I have thoughts. I am very on board with the Eddie is Demi theory cause this man has only ever shown real interest in two people one of which isn’t even canon (yet). Shannon and Buck.

Eddie has spent most of the show trying to replace Shannon since her death and there is a theme with all of those relationships, when he starts to realize that these women are different than Shannon he runs and closes off.

I think a lot of this has to do with the fact that Eddie does not understand what he is feeling. He is chasing the attraction that he had to Shannon and he keeps failing to find it when he can’t form that same connection with Ana and Marisol that he did with her.

When Eddie sees Kim, someone who is basically identical physically to Shannon he thinks that he can recreate those feelings because she’s just like Shannon right? I think this is going to fall apart later first because Eddie is cheating and he will be in shit for that but I don’t think he sees it as cheating cause “it’s Shannon” or at least in his eyes it is. (Even tho it’s def cheating).

I think the second reason it will fall apart with Kim is that while she is just like Shannon physically he will start to realize that Kim is not Shannon and it think that will finally be the push he needs to move on from her and start to unpack all of his catholic guilt relating to his sexuality.

Idk if this makes sense 😅 it makes sense to me. Anyways I’d love to hear other peoples thoughts.

Eddie Diaz immediately getting with Kim feels so in character and I hate it. Cause my brain goes “Eddie would never cheat” but it also goes “Eddie is obsessed with replacing Shannon and this makes total sense.”

The peak example of public school can be summed up with a story from when I was in grade four.

Our school was having issues with bullying so they decided to put on an anti bullying play.

Except the thing is. . . They cast all of the school bullies as the lead rolls and the kids that they bullied as the ensemble. . .
