Shoutout to black transmascs/studs/just masc presenting queer individuals who often struggle with or worry about being seen as masc by nb people because of the weird relationship nb people have forcefully placed between masculinity and blackness.

Thoughts of “does this person see me as masculine because I am deliberately presenting that way or do they just have some weird internal biases about blackness” are common and you have every damn right to be suspicious even though you shouldn’t have to worry about that.

Please, let’s talk about it, let’s vent about it, let’s validate each other this pride and if you’re one of those people who think that black masc queers “pass better” because we’re black, please die.

My marauders ships have gotten progressively more niche.

First there was wolfstar, which is so mainstream it's basically canon. Someone who isn't even a nerd recommended ATYD to me, that's how mainstream wolfstar is.

Then I moved on to Starchaser/jegulus. It's definitely out there as a concept, but it has a massive fandom.

Then Prongsfoot/bambibelle. It's the quietest tag I've ever been obsessed with. Can't wait to add the AU I'm working on to the tag, they make too much sense for me not to have started writing them immediately.

"Nails short just for you, Jamie," Sirius smiles, threads their fingers through James' curls as he settles himself on the couch cushion. Legs immediatly tangle together and find their way to the coffee table as James leans into Sirius' touch.

"And a pretty skirt too," James hums, his own hand finding the hem of said skirt so he can rub his fingers against it. It's soft and thin, shear, short - rests just above Sirius' knee. A nice off-white.

"You're a tired baby," Sirius says, hands running over James head and down his neck, rubbing circles into his shoulders over his t-shirt.

James just hums, eyes still trained on the skirt.

"Nails short just for you," Sirius says again, lower and softer, the volume that they know moves through James' head the easiest when he's like this. Overworked and drawn out and done for the day.

James hums and, like an automatic switch, finds himself turning over to lay on the couch, back against the cushions, head on Sirius' lap. Looks up to find Sirius looking down, a soft smile on their face that James just wants to sink into. But he can't, so instead he opens his mouth.

Sirius starts with two fingers at the same time that the commercials on the television end and the show they had on starts. A theme song rings through the room but James can barely hear it over the rush in his ears as Sirius' fingers settle on his tongue.

"Sleepy baby," Sirius says again, rests their elbow on James' chest and leans back.

Later James will grow restless and want Sirius' cock. Later James will need more, will need hugs and kisses and hair scratches and attention. But right now, the haze is nice.
